Stay 1 night in this hotel. Big parking (have to pay extra), big hall, good breakfast, comfortable but old rooms. Some renovation would be highly appreciated, or in a few years it will looks like granny’s house.
The foyer of this hotel is modern and very showy, BUT that is where the glamour stops. Room was very small and stuffy, and everything was old. The loft stopped working, but thankfully was repaired by the time we had to check out. Staff are very nice, but the hotel needs to have some money spent to make it worthy of the ads. Shower over the bath was a bit slippery. Trains don't stop at the nearby railway station, so that was not helpful. A bit disappointing after seeing the ads.
Very old fashioned hotel, specially the rooms, not confortable at all. If you were lucky and could connect to the wifi, it was very, very slow, practically impossible to use it for work. The food was very bad. The only positive aspect was the people, very kind.
This hotel is inbetween 2 blocks of flats, not overlooking the river as we thought. It is opposite the train track. The ramps in the multi storey car park leading upto the hotel parking level are extremely small, you have to manoever several times to get onto the ramp. The room was warm but had no air con to make it a bit cooler. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. It had a menu on a stand next to the restaurant but we could not order from it, we got given a menu which only had 3 mains on it, none of which we wanted so had to go elsewhere for food, whereas the menu on the stand had loads of choice. Positives - very comfy bed and fab koi ponds in the hotel.
We spend one night at the hotel and it was a really bad night with very little sleep. From the description and the pictures we expected a picturesque and peaceful hotel surrounded by lush green plants. What we got was a room facing a busy road and behind that a railway line backed by a church with a strong bell. On our bed we found earplugs - what kind of relaxation is that? The receptionist told us that the last train would stop at 22.45h which wasn't true because further trains passed through much later. The room was rather old and the car park really difficult to maneuver in. The few good things about this place were very friendly waiters and waitresses at the restaurant, a delicious breakfast buffet and large koi ponds in the centre of the restaurant.
The staffs are very very friendly. The room is nice and big. But the refrigerator is a little loud. And the internet is very slow. A variety of food in breakfast, but you need to ask for refill if it's empty (I guess they're too busy). Overall it's a good hotel, would definitely stay there next time.
The hotel is located some 25 min drive away from lake titisee and has a decent lobby with colorful fish swimming. I stay here for one night and would recommend this hotel only as a one night stay. The rooms are just ok types, b'fast is just so-so. The parking is a bit squeezed- if ur driving a bigger car ( like I was) then it's near impossible to get to the another floor as the turning is quite cramped. The best part of the hotel was the pretty jewelry in the show case quote for sale. I got some real good jewelry from the hotel.
The hotel is located straight at a railway and on one of the main and busy streets of the town. No garden at all. Breakfast very good, nice small wellness centre with a jacuzzi bath, fitness centre and a sauna -we were there completely alone, without any staff. Rooms with very soft mattress, certainly not 4 star equipped. We had a lovely body massage and entry into the Bad Dürnheim Solemar Thermen included in package, both very good.
The location and service is OK for business visits but not if you want to enjoy the Swarzwald as a tourist. Adjacent to a busy railroad, far away from attractions in de area. And the roooms at the front are extremely noisy, so noisy that the hotel even provides you with earbuds.
The hotel rooms are a little dated, however they are currently being renovated which shows that the management are aware of this. The staff are friendly and willing to assist when required and do so professionally. The breakfast is varied and of good quality. The car park requires some work done but is usable.
