Wonderful Vacation
The home is quite and spotless with everything you could want. We launched kayaks at the house and fished the flats. Fished off the dock at high tide. We launched kayaks from the beach and spent day on an island. Enjoyed the wildlife from the deck. Wonderful restaurants and cute shops to browse. Just a perfect vacation.

…are visible from this great property on a canal. All amenities, very clean with cheery decor. Watched ospreys in a nest across the canal, rode bikes into town most every day, paddled all over the place, took our fresh caught Redfish fillets to Steamers and Island Hotel who both do a great prep. Fantastic bird life out on the various keys and nightlife on Dock St./ Tiki Bar if you fancy it. Cedar Key is an ( almost) hidden gem and you won’t be sorry renting this house, in our humble opinion.

Kayak getaway
The house was very clean and well furnished for an enjoyable stay. Kitchen has everything you need, and the bed was comfortable. The water is hot!
We kayaked every day and launching from the property was easy and very convenient. Be aware of tide times as the inlet will empty out at low tide.
If you plan to self cater, make sure you take provisions in with you. Cedar key is very much a small island and there is no large supermarket.
The house is great and we plan to return later this year for more kayaking/birdspotting/general relaxation.

Florida Living
Great place to get off the grid and enjoy family time! Rented Kayaks that were brought to the house, rented a golf cart and toured the Island, stopped any many places and fished with the kids. Really enjoyed the house located in a canal with a mysterious tide that sucks all of the water out daily! Still so amazed over this.
Our place was easy in and perfectly located. Would be nice if the kayaks and paddle boards that are visible in the garage came with the house. But that honestly is our only major complaint. The view from the upper deck was amazing for sunsets.
Don’t come here if you are looking for a tourist town. You will be disappointed. This is a place to go and relax and enjoy the beauty of this island!

Very Quiet
Just far enough away from downtown to enjoy the piece and quiet. Caught a lot of catfish from the canal behind the house.
