3rd time in this hotel and rating is getting worse, not enough selection in breakfast as ot use to and food are almost gone at 9:30 am. Cleanliness in pool was bad and smells bad. Toilet get clogged called housekeeping several times
The hotel is located in Fuente Osmeña in the heart of Cebu. There is a mall and big supermarket connected to the hotel which is convenient. The room I was assigned was nice and well appointed. Also it had a nice view of the city and Mactan in the distance. My rate included breakfast but the food wasn't very good so I didn't return for breakfast the next day. As in every place I stayed in the Philippines, the staff was attentive, warm and very helpful. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel.
True, the Summit Circle hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but if U are staying at the Summit there are things that some 5 star hotels cannot offer. Convenience. The hotel is located above the Robinson mall and you can visit the Robinson mall 7 days a week.. There is a grocery store and a food mall in the basement. There are 3 floors of a mall department store. There is a safe money exchange store which offers good rates. Coffee shops. Jolly-bees. etc. There are several American branded fast food places in walking distance (MacDonald, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Ky Fried Chicken. ). There are several local eateries in walking distance. Some open 24 hours a day. U are easily 30 minutes by taxi to large malls - (SM, Alaya, etc.) and cost between 80 to 100 php per trip. The hotel offers a shuttle to the Robinson Grand Mall for free. Always a guard at the entry stairs and will be able to help hail a cab or give directions. The hotel has a small swimming pool on the 5th floor. Towels will be supplied at the pool. Their gym has clean and efficient weight machines on the 6th floor. The people working there are really helpful and friendly. Bottle water left each day with cleaning. I have found the rooms acceptable each trip. Cable - basic for Cebu City service. Their in room safe is nice. Entry to the hotel is on the 4th floor, have taxi driver go thru the parking garage to the 4th floor so U do not have to walk the stairs with luggage... Hope this helps both visitors and the Hotel.
I kept on coming back to this hotel because of convenience. Robinsons supermarket is very accessible, the camera store I love is just stone throw away. Coffee shops and fast food restaurants are a minute away. What I love also is the super fast check out. Good job front desk officers.
Since we are arriving in Cebu at night, we had to choose a hotel that is near the airport. Most of the hotels were fully booked since it was Holy Week so we ended up booking at this hotel. It is connected to a mall so you have to take an elevator going to lobby and a separate elevator from lobby to rooms. It was affordable in my opinion because we booked 2 rooms since we're 5 adults and we paid just PhP 5,500+. Not a bad deal at all. The rooms are so spacious but need a little improvement and maintenance. The breakfast buffet was okay. Not too many foods to choose from but tastes good. Their pancakes are so good; I ate too much of it. It is also located in the city circle, hence the name.
My wife and I are very disappointed in our stay here. We have been in three rooms sine we checked in. Our first room had hot water issues and and exposed electrical outlet. Not good when you have a two year old. The second room developed a water leak and the staff had no idea where the water came from. Again not good with a small child. So far the third room is good. We still have 5 days left, at this point in time we have no idea or faith left in the hospital. The staff is very nice and helpful. We have yet to hear from management. You would think after being in three rooms in less than two weeks, that someone would come by and talk with us. Nope. The hotel is outdated. Repairs, when made, are amateur at best. Other than a great staff, all this hotel has going for it is location. I cannot recommend that anyone stay here. The hotel is not worth what they charge.
Can't fault the team on the front desk - helped out with an early check-in, happily arranged switch of rooms when requested and were very understanding when it came to a late check-out. 10/10. Room itself was spacious and comfortable, good tv and choice of channels too. Pool was ok for a splash, but gym was looking very tired - good range of equipment, but has seen better days.
Location is great, just in front of the Fuente circle. There are a lot of dining options which are just walking distance i.e. Burger King, Jollibee, Mc Donalds, etc. The room was ok. We got a king size bed. Big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. But the pillows needs major improvement. It was very lumpy and I had a stiff neck when i woke up There was also no kettle and cups provided which is very standard across all hotels. Breakfast was standard, extra adult at 250/ head and kids 7- 11 at 120/ head. Pool was very small, and it really stinked. It smelled like a rat died in their somewhere. Overall I won't choose this hotel the next time.
It's just beside Robinsons Fuente. It is also near the Shamrock store, where you can buy pasalubong. If you want to go to the famous ihaw-ihaw place, Larsian sa Fuente, it's only a few steps away. We were first assigned to a room at the 14th floor. But their elevator is up to 12 floors only so you have to take the stairs to go to the 14th floor (by the way, 13th floor doesn't exist). The room was nice and cozy but the air conditioning sucks. We asked the front desk officer if they could transfer us to a room with a better air conditioning, and they gladly acknowledged our request. We were then transferred to a room at 8th floor.
We stayed for 2N&3D, overall it was a convenient stay but I am not happy with the vibe their front desk officers have, specifically with the young man in the front desk. They don't have that welcoming aura to their guests and they don't even smile often! I know for a fact that they should be pleasing enough to create a great first impression to every guest, I know very well because I am from the same industry. I hope they can make a move on this concern because their employees are vital persons that can make or break one's stay in their property. But, I admire their housekeeping personnels though, they are smiling and will greet you along the corridor. Keep it up guys!
