We have stayed here exclusively during our 10+ trips over 20 years when we visit the Philippines. First and foremost, the service is still excellent. The staff are a great group of people whom management should be proud of, as they are always helpful and good natured. In 28 years, we have never had a problem with anyone from front desk, to bellmen, to housekeeping, to security. The staff are the shining stars of this hotel. Unfortunately, little to no money is being spent on maintenance and repair. It is unacceptable that we couldn't use the shower head in our shower due to water blowing and leaking out the side of the shower head, preventing the normal water pattern from falling from the shower from above. We were forced to use the hand sprayer, and had to tape it into position in order to direct the water towards us to take a shower. We did not complain or bring it to anybody's attention, because quite frankly they knew about the problem as this did not occur overnight, and the likely outcome would be for us to change rooms, which we did not care to do after unpacking all of our luggage. The air-con is weak, as it has been for 20 years. It is better than nothing, but not much better than nothing. One nice thing is the plentiful storage for clothes, though I'd prefer to have doors on the storage as they did when this was Midtown Hotel. I really don't like all of our belongings out in the open, though we have never had a problem with theft. It just looks sloppy. The restaurant downstairs is bad, or at least the breakfast buffet is. When this hotel was Midtown, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and worth the money. They used to have a large spread with fresh fruits, vegetables and breads, but this is almost nonexistent now. It is basically a few Filipino breakfast items. I tried to order pancakes off of the menu, with either mango or another fruit, and they had neither. Imagine, no mangoes - in Cebu, when they are sold on the street outside. This is totally unacceptable. Why put it on the menu? Another day they had no bacon. For breakfast. No bacon. The vendor that runs this restaurant must be removed, as they are providing a subpar service to hotel guests. Summit should be embarrassed by this vendor. In previous years, when this was run by Midtown, we would have breakfast there daily. Now it is not worth stepping foot in the door, when the buffet is terrible, and the menu does not reflect what they actually have for food items in stock. We did not use the pool during our 2 weeks here, because frankly it was depressing on our last visit, and I don't imagine that it has gotten much better. Overall, the hotel is still a good value, but the problems that I have identified really need to be addressed. To not be able to take a normal shower or have a good breakfast, will upon our next visit make us think twice about a hotel we have used exclusively for 20 years. I would have liked to give this 2-1/2 stars, but it was not an option. This 3 star rating is lower than our ratings during previous reviews due to the neglect and aging of this once very nice hotel. And to the staff, you know who we are. This review is not about you. We remain appreciative for your service and friendship.

Summit Circle lOcated along Fuente has always been my favorite hotel in Cebu City. Clean and spacious rooms with mini-refrigerator to keep my drinks cold. Delicious food at C2 Restaurant. Swimming pool Kinda small but nice to swim at. Courteous staffs as well. Two thumbs up!

I stayed in this hotel for it is near Chiong Hua Hospital where I will have my cataract operation. I booked for a hotel car but the booking was not attentive enough that I did not have the booking. Their reservations is not good enough that tho you booked a room with breakfast but their breakfast resto will put you on hold. The air-con was not cool enough and noisy. The rooms smelt bad and so with the linens. The water closet and the lavatory were working well but looked really old. The pictures here are not the actual look of the rooms. I was so disappointed that I cancelled my reservation on the last day. I had to demand for a refund.

the location is fanastic if you like nightlife. the room is ok size, clean but old. the restaurant i would not recomend. very slow service. all in all not that bad.pool is small, its located next to the mall.

This hotel must date from the early 1980s as it was once the Midtown. Entrance is just off Gen Maxilom Ave but is stairs only. Disabled can use a ramp a little further around. Security guards will lug your luggage. Check in is on the fourth floor. The hotel is linked via the third and ground floors to Robinsons small mall with its good department store and quite large, and busy, supermarket and food court. Using the ground floor entrance is quicker. Check in was extremely slow but the lady gave me an excellent room, 1119 that had a view over rather dry and dusty Fuente Circle plus to the hills. A downside was ambulance sirens. The room was very large and had a settee, good desk with chair and a welcome desk lamp, a minibar, wardrobe and a great quality Queen bed. There was a safety deposit box of an unusual model, initially tricky to use. Curtains were very good at stopping light intrusion, a feature I look for. Towels were fine while a goodly range of amenities was supplied. The bathroom shower was also generously proportioned but when sitting on the toilet, one had to close the bathroom door as there was not much room. Room attendant Roy, a veteran staff member was pleasant and efficient although the hotel lacked scales or luggage scales. These should be in every hotel. The lifts worked well and were fast. Breakfast was fair. All in all a solid at least 3 star stay but the hotel is ageing and could do with a makeover. Occupancy was at 90 per cent as Cebu City is popular with Japanese, mainland Chinese and South Koreans as a locality in which to be taught English.

We have stayed here during our business trip and I can say that the staff are very helpful, also their food were tasty enough. Rooms are clean and Room decoration is not bad. Nice for short stay, i can recommend for sure

Summit Circle Hotel is clean and comfortable and is close to all kinds of services in downtown Cebu City. The best part of the location is there is a small mall at the bottom of the Hotel with good Airline booking, Cebu Pacific is in the mall and Philippine Airlines Ticketing office is a two block walk from the hotel.

The hotel was good. Ambiance was nice and CR was nice too. It is spacious and is in the center. They serve breakfast too :) But our lobby smelled like cigarettes tho. But if you want to be near the city and has a mall below, Summit Circle is a good place to stay.

It is not so easy to find the entrance and the lift only takes you to reception. You have to use another lift to get to your room. Checking in was problem-free and the room was smallish but more than big enough for one occupant. There was almost no information in the room so I did not know I was supposed to switch on the fridge and had to call the housekeeper to find out. To turn on the TV you need to be a member of Mensa or a TV engineer as a tiny switch was hidden under the monitor. The A/C was almost impossible to turn on and off as the plastic indicator was fingernail breaking if you didn't have a screwdriver or similar to move it. I couldn't get hot water in the shower and there was no skin cream. In addition I missed a water cooker with free coffee and tea at the room charges they took. The bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent with top service!! This was the best feature of this hotel! If you don't need a location at Robinson shopping mall there are far better hotels at similar prices nearer Ayala centre.

We had our seminar here in Summit Circle and we were booked in a 3 bed room. Room was quiet nice. Wifi is available. Bathroom is clean with complete with disposable comb and Qtips. We had free breakfast buffet along with the reservation. Non-smoking rooms and you have to go down in the parking area if you want to smoke. Hotel has a pool area and gym. The hotel also is connected to Robinsons Fuente. Taxi is always available in the area. It costs around 100php or below from seaport and 200php approx going to airport depending the traffic. Had a good stay in this hotel and it would be great if we were booked here again in our next seminar.
