My family and i stayed here for new years eve nd it has a great city view and overlooking,.it has great city lights and you can defenitely see the firework and the pool is nice and big but no pool for kids though
Summit Circle Cebu is located above Robinsons Mall, its on the 4th floor making it convenient for it is near to everything else. The hotel was quite old but has a huge lobby. Rooms are big too but inconsistent. I stayed there 3 times for 3 consecutive weeks, on the 8th, 10th & 11th floor, thus I was able to occupy rooms with a sea view & a city view. The rooms with a city view made me very difficult to sleep because of the noise coming form the street. The staff were just ok, not so friendly but not bad at all, very different from other hotels I used to stay in Cebu. The rooms were comfortable enough but there are times that I got a bathrobe & slippers but some time I did not. Same as the bathroom, toiletries are complete except for the towels. Sometimes they gave me hand towels, some time they didn't. Rooms are inclusive with buffet breakfast with enough choices. I also took dinner here & servings were quite huge, good for 2 persons. However, it's either too salty or too sweet. Basically, it was a clean hotel in the heart of the city.
This is my first time travelling out of Luzon for work. And I traveled alone, so imagine the torture for someone like me who watched too many CI docu series. Haha! :D Travel from the airport: I rely too much on Grab and Waze so I was so happy that they have a P300 off grab promo when you use it to any point of Cebu when you key in Cebu airport as the pick-up point! I just saw it in their lighted box signage ads around the airport or ask the ground attendants if the promo is still available. Traffic is a little hassle, in my case I have an event so I was little time crippled. It took me around 1.5 hrs going to the hotel. Check-in: Checking in was so smooth. Well the hotel is my owned by the company I worked for so my accommodation was reserved a week before. But still, the lobby is very spacious and there are plenty of couches to sit in if you happen to arrive with a line. They gave me a free pack of griffin's cookies as well which I think is a cute way of sampling (no to hard-sells) :P . Don't forget to get your breakfast buffet stub/s if ever you are qualified, they always give it during check in. Room: I got a room at the 6th floor which is very convenient. I hate staying at higher places. Waiting in the elevator is so excruciating especially when travelling alone. So The room is very spacious,AC and Cable TV works well (these two is a must for me) and the wi-fi access/signal is okay. The bathroom tiles has molds and the shower no longer have a heater, the water pressure is poor as well.. So I think proper maintenance is in order. Transpo: The hotel's location is A++! if you want to be close to the malls, bars and restaurants. In just a few clicks, you can have a Grab driver pick you up. As for me, I went to Robinsons Galleria Cebu (for work), then went to Cebu IT Park and ate at Zubuchon and capped my night off drinking Sauvignon Blanc at La Vie Parisienne. Trust me when I say that this is how you want to spend your first day in Cebu City. ;) Food: I had an early flight going to Davao the next day so I woke up at around 6am to spend my morning eating at the hotels restaurant which serves breakfast buffet from 5am-10am. I'll rate the food 3.5, the pancakes served are a bit cold, the bacon is perfect tho and the sinangag was okay. All in all, I enjoyed my breakfast overlooking the City with a cup of half and half coffee (it rhymes!) lol Stay was a 4 for me. It can be perfect but the bathroom sucks. So yeah... :)
Stayed there for a few nights with my love and I was bit surprised of the very spacious room at a very reasonable price. Simply amazing. Very posh and cozy at the same time. By far, its the most convenient hotel Ive stayed with. Theres just a mall below and fastfood chains and shopping center, so you need not to go far. It is overlooking the city so, at night you'll enjoy watching the city lights, people passing by and the traffic downstairs. 😊😊
The hotel is in a great location, and the staff are very friendly, but like a lot of places in Cebu, it is tired and run down. The rooms are adequate for business guests but it is a true 3 star hotel. The gym doesn't open till 10am which is pointless, and at the time of year I was staying by the time I got back from work the pool was closed. You are better off looking for newer hotels near the IT Park. Oh, and there are some questionable guests and 'interesting' noises coming from the rooms even in the middle of the day. I will let you read into that what you may.
Ok location but i would prefer closer to Ayala mall. Great staff allways helpful. The free wifi does not work - buy own! Good brkfst - php 250... nice rooms, high water pressure and warm water 😀 pool area ok but call if the attendant isnt there as often happens.
3rd time in this hotel and rating is getting worse, not enough selection in breakfast as ot use to and food are almost gone at 9:30 am. Cleanliness in pool was bad and smells bad. Toilet get clogged called housekeeping several times
The hotel is located in Fuente Osmeña in the heart of Cebu. There is a mall and big supermarket connected to the hotel which is convenient. The room I was assigned was nice and well appointed. Also it had a nice view of the city and Mactan in the distance. My rate included breakfast but the food wasn't very good so I didn't return for breakfast the next day. As in every place I stayed in the Philippines, the staff was attentive, warm and very helpful. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel.
True, the Summit Circle hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but if U are staying at the Summit there are things that some 5 star hotels cannot offer. Convenience. The hotel is located above the Robinson mall and you can visit the Robinson mall 7 days a week.. There is a grocery store and a food mall in the basement. There are 3 floors of a mall department store. There is a safe money exchange store which offers good rates. Coffee shops. Jolly-bees. etc. There are several American branded fast food places in walking distance (MacDonald, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Ky Fried Chicken. ). There are several local eateries in walking distance. Some open 24 hours a day. U are easily 30 minutes by taxi to large malls - (SM, Alaya, etc.) and cost between 80 to 100 php per trip. The hotel offers a shuttle to the Robinson Grand Mall for free. Always a guard at the entry stairs and will be able to help hail a cab or give directions. The hotel has a small swimming pool on the 5th floor. Towels will be supplied at the pool. Their gym has clean and efficient weight machines on the 6th floor. The people working there are really helpful and friendly. Bottle water left each day with cleaning. I have found the rooms acceptable each trip. Cable - basic for Cebu City service. Their in room safe is nice. Entry to the hotel is on the 4th floor, have taxi driver go thru the parking garage to the 4th floor so U do not have to walk the stairs with luggage... Hope this helps both visitors and the Hotel.
I kept on coming back to this hotel because of convenience. Robinsons supermarket is very accessible, the camera store I love is just stone throw away. Coffee shops and fast food restaurants are a minute away. What I love also is the super fast check out. Good job front desk officers.
