The hotel is very good one, the stuff was very nice, good breakfast, with a lot of choice, the place is near a river, a nice one, It was very short stay, I want stay there more night, but I couldn't because we need to go to nice. Maybe I come back one day
The hotel is very nice. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Location near supermarkets and the A7 highway. Free and good wifi. Free parking. Swiming pool & tenis & pingpong facilities. Good reataurant.
this hotel is located just next to an industrial zone, one needs a car to get around. Rooms are quite small and the breakfast buffet doesn't abude to the Mercure quality I'm used to. Avoid their restaurant, service is extremely slow and quality is bad. The only good point is the swimming pool, which is great.
My wife and I stayed in the hotel recently and we were a little apprehensive having read previous reviews. We should not have been! Although the hotel is a little old the rooms have had some investment, wifi is fine and the staff could not have been more friendly. Breakfast is very good and the DIY egg station is fun !! Lovely gardens and very clean pool. Great location and good parking. All in all a good stay and would recommend if you need a stop over.
Let me preface this review by saying that we stayed at this hotel as part of a coach tour, and as such were never actually knew the cost of our room. Therefore our comments are based on the hotel itself, the state of our room, the staff, and indeed the location. We were on the last leg of our trip back to Paris when we stopped here, it's lightly odd in that there are two hotels that seem to share the same building, this one supposedly is the slightly better of the two. It was dark when we got there so we couldn't really attest to the views or the grounds themselves. However we had a nice dinner, with excellent service, our room was decent and we had a good breakfast. One thing that could have been a problem was that when we went to pay for dinner, their card reader wouldn't accept our card and cards from several others in our group. When we left the next day we stopped at a services and checked our card and it was fine. Luckily we'd had sufficient cash on us.
The hotel covers the basics for a stay on a business trip. It's worth the travel to stay somewhere nearby like Avignon or Aix En Provence. Breakfast is a weak point at this hotel. Basic continental breakfast, some times items are not available, like toast one morning. Hotel has a pool but it always contains the cleaning robot which is annoying to say the least. Drop it in during the night when the pool i not in use.
We had dinner in the restaurant of this hotel (the name of the restaurant is Olivier) on the 12th of August 2015 and were very disappointed by both the food and the service. We were initially served by a waiter (first name begins with an A), who took our order with difficulty and impatience because she has bad English and our French is far from perfect (we are one Italian and one Rumanian). We asked for vegetarian possibilities and we were replied that we could have had "fish" and we were asked to look at the menu better and decide while she attended other business. Is this a joke? Is this the way to take care of customers who have special meal needs? "Look at the menu better?" We finally ordered. For no apparent reason, our waitress changed and we had to repeat every order back because everything was coming out wrong. Because of these misunderstandings, food arrived slowly and semi-cold. We went to the desk to sign the bill. We were given a pencil to sign it (!) and while we were signing it the waitress went _away_ to attend other business and I was left alone at the desk with the hotel's receipt in my hand. I left it there and went to bed... Never returned to the restaurant during our three days' stay... We even went bought food at an Auchan in order to avoid the restaurant.
We were travelling to the south of France and found The Mercure Cavaillon to be the perfect place to break the journey. The staff were really friendly and food and service excellent. The outdoor pool was just what we needed after a long journey.
We had to stop over from Nice going into Avignon and stayed here for a day. It is relatively brand new, if you know how old European hotels can look like. The room is slightly small but adequate, clean and has wifi. Location is very safe and quiet and most of all relaxing. The breakfast is good and adequate. Hygiene is not an issue with this hotel. The only problem is the nearest place for foot outside is a good 10 to 15 minutes walk. Will stay here again if i visit this beautiful region again. Oh by the way, i had no problems with the elevator, in fact i preferred using the staircase as it is convenient and faster.
Pro: close to highway and free parking Cons: old, small crappy rooms, bad food in restaurant (meat dish cold, returned to kitchen still cold), poor bathroom, bad wifi. Hotel doesn't seem upgraded in the past 20 year. Note a 4-star (stars or less).
