A lovely location

This was exactly what we wanted. Well-equipped accomodation with fantastic mountain views (weather permitting ;-)). A short walk to an interesting town and an easy drive to other places of interest such as the Cirque de Gavarnie. Odile was charming and helpful (especially carrying our bags up the track in her quadbke and trailer)!

Lovely, peaceful and comfortable gite in a beautiful location.

What a great place! We felt very at home in this comfortable accommodation. Superb views all around. It was just perfect for us. A very natural location that the hosts have maintained with butterflies, birds and bees aplenty. The owners also have goats and a donkey. Great. The gite is very well equipped and so peaceful. Fantastic hosts. Many thanks.

Cosy, warm chalet on the edge of town, containing all you need for a short stay.

The property is situated right on the edge of town, so is lovely and quiet. The views of the valley and mountains opposite are breath-taking. The walk into town only takes about 15 minutes but there is a free bus service close by or from nearby Intersport (which you would need to drive to if you are on a Winter holiday). The chalet is very cosy and warm and slept 2 adults and 2 young boys (on the settee/divan) very comfortably. Odile and her husband made us most welcome and live next door so are there to assist if need be. The bathroom, shower and kitchen areas were clean and tidy and provided everything we needed for the few days we stayed. The chalet made a wonderful base for our three days of skiing The boys had never skied on snow before and Cauteret provided several easy 'green' runs for them to learn on. Because everyone has to take the Cable Cars to the ski area, it was busy going up every morning, whatever time you went. However, once you were up in the ski area, Inermediate and Advanced skiers had a good selection of pistes to take, without having to come down to the busier main area, which is predominated by Beginners. On the third day the two boys were able to take a chair lift up the slopes, with their parents, and ski down one of the 'Blue' runs and enjoy the scenery from one of the Bars/Cafes. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Cauteret and would recommend both the chalet and the resort especially to young families. Bon journee.

Un bol d'air en montagne.

Super emplacement. Une impression d'être loin de tout et pourtant si proche du village. Petit gîte entouré de montagnes. 10 mn à pieds de Cauterets. Gîte t bien équipé avec petite terrasse ensoleillée. Les propriétaires habitent à côté. Relation conviviale, et discrète à la fois.

TRES AGREABLE SEJOUR

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, le logement était vraiment trés cosy (décoré avec beaucoup de gout), en parfait état car entièrement rénové, très fonctionnel (juste un petit bémol sur la machine à laver le linge qui n'est pas dans le logement, il faut confier le linge à l'hôte). La terrasse est très agréable avec vu sur les montagnes. Les hotes sont très accueillant et ils ont répondu rapidement à nos requêtes (ils habitent juste à côté du logement, cela facilite les échanges tout en respectant l'intimité des occupants). Le petit point négatif c'est que l'on ne peut pas garer son véhicule devant le logement (pour des raisons de sécurité, je le précise), mais en contrepartie, les hotes viennent chercher les bagages avec un quad équipé d'une remorque à l'arrivée et même chose au départ). Nos hotes ont été très accueillants et gentils et nous nous avons des échanges très agréables avec eux. Je les en remercie beaucoup. Je recommande vraiment ce logement et nous reviendrons très probablement si nous revenons dans le secteur.
