Great place to stay.

Comfortable location to stay at. Quiet area, easy walk to restaurants, Main Street, etc. Damage to the outside fire escape stairs from a vehicle “not making the corner”, which made them unusable, was a bit concerning. The grout between the tile above the shower was rather stained, and could use a good cleaning. Otherwise, an enjoyable, quiet, good location place to stay.

The Verandah Suite had everything we needed to spend a beautiful 3 day escape to Nelson. A lovely little town. I would definitely stay here again when back in Nelson.

Room had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Ate at home a few times because we had a kitchen, ate out because we were close to Baker Street. Helpful owner. Convenient to downtown. Noisy with commuters during working day due to traffic from off-ramp and highway, however that calmed down as the night went on.

Amazing final vacation for Summer

Myself and my 3 teenage daughters had a delightful stay at the Victoria Falls Inn, the access to downtown shops and service was fantastic, and the ability to cook lovely meals with our locally purchased food was the icing on the cake. Cathy-Ann was also full of great tips on great swimming and recreation spots for the family, including our dog! We’ll be back!

Right at the beginning of Baker street this was a perfect and accessible spot to stay. The suites are beautiful and extra touches inside make you feel well taken care of, the included laundry was a big help while travelling with a baby, and the staff are easy to reach, helpful and sweet.

This is a beautiful historic property renovated into several units. It's welcoming the second you reach the gate as you walk under an arbor covered in flowers. The lawn and gardens are well maintained. Inside they have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Dishes, soaps, extra toilet paper, hair dryers and even a fan are provided. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Nelson on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

We love how clean and cozy it is. Our 2 kids loved the bunkbeds and the view from the bedrooms with the mountain backdrop is just incredible. The location is prime, just 10min walk from Cottonwood Falls and 5min walk from any restaurants or shops. Highly recommend this place!

I love the proximity to historic Baker street, private off-street parking, beautiful old heritage home with a fenced yard and pet friendly! This is a perfect place to stay while visiting our college student attending Selkirk.

The property is fantastic—centrally located, with charming historical features. The MOD was welcoming and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. However, my departure experience was disappointing. I realized I left my ergonomic pillow behind, which is essential for medical reasons. Unable to retrieve it personally, I asked if it had been found. After a day and follow-ups, they confirmed it and agreed to ship it if I sent a label. A few days later, there was confusion over a delayed charge for my stay, which I mistakenly denied but quickly resolved. In the same email, I sent the shipping label for the pillow. I was told the pillow would be shipped the next day but received no updates. After two days, I followed up, offering to schedule a postal pickup to ease their burden. Despite my efforts, communication stalled. When I reached out to the MOD for an update, I received a scolding email asking me not to contact the MOD again and accusing me of being angry and unsympathetic to the owner's personal hardships—an accusation that felt unwarranted as I remained professional throughout. The situation is frustrating. My medical condition requires proper spinal support, yet the pillow remains packed with no shipment date or pickup address provided. While sympathetic to the owner's circumstances, I hoped for mutual understanding of my needs. Now, I face either buying a replacement pillow I can’t afford or continuing doctor visits indefinitely—all due to poor communication.
