Castine is a hidden gem on the Blue Hill Peninsula - one hour drive from Acadia National Park. Take a day trip to Acadia, but enjoy down time without the crowds. Activities in Castine include historic tours, ocean kayaking and nature hikes. Driving distances: 1 hour from Bangor Airport, 2 1/2 hours from Portland Airport, 4 hours from Boston.
