Farmhouse in the heart of the real chiantishire

Farmhouse in the heart of Chiantishire at 3 kms minutes distance from the historical township of Castellina in Chianti. 23 kms from Siena and 37 kms from Florence. The villa is set at an altitude of 600 meters.

We are surrounded by vineyards and oak woods a perfect place to run away from busy city life or to relax. The great location close to the most important art cities of Tuscany and close to the major streets of our land make our villa a perfect solution to discover Tuscany.

The villa is suitable for 4 people and consists of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, multifunctional whirpool shower, and a large kitchen with all the comforts.

From one of the two rooms can be accessed the great terrace with porch from which is possible to arrive on the ample garden with sight on the hills of Chianti and on the valley of the Chantishire.

The ample garden (1 hectare - 100 ares) is protected by a 2 meters high fence. It gives a real and fully privacy to our guests. The house is 50 meters far from our house so for any information or questions guests can always count on us.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find a Smart TV with a DVD player. The bathroom offers a jetted tub, hair dryers, and bidets. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

Excellent home base for our trip to Tuscany! Beautiful farm house in the heart of the Chianti region with easy access to Siena, Florence, and a host of other iconic villages. Very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed for a two-week stay. Close to local shops, restaurants, grocery, and wineries. You can book with confidence as everything is as described and reviewed. We had a really nice relaxing stay, very peaceful and a fantastic location to visit the surrounding towns and villages, such beautiful countryside and friendly people. Most locations are within 30 minutes to an hour away, driving at the more sedate and safer speed required. Why rush your on holiday! Castellina in Chianti 2025

A return trip to this cottage which we first visited for just a few days sometime around 2012.The cottage is just as beautiful as it was then. It has been well maintained and the views remain heavenly!Castellina too has aged well. more restaurants, shopping, art and vineyards. A huge shoutout to Podere La Piaggia for a beautiful and memorable private tasting and lunch!

Beautiful and Relaxing

It was a perfect home base for my husband and I for daytripping around Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, and a welcome break from staying at a hotel. The town is close to the property, and an easy stop for breakfast and coffee on our way to other destinations. Unfortunately it was raining most of the days we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the exterior as we had hoped.Note to others: the street to the farmhouse is not paved and there are many potholes, so drive slowly and carefully!

Fantastic isolation

The house was beautiful and the location was wonderfully quiet and set back from the main road. It’s quaint and cozy. There’s a short gravel road up to the cottage but it’s an easy drive. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful Location in the hills of Tuscany

This charming farmhouse made our stay in the Tuscan region perfect. While we never met the host, they were very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The farm and area is beautiful! We rented a car and did day trips to Montepulciano, Siena, Volterra, Lucca and Cinque Terre. The house is also convenient to the local town. We found excellent restaurants and also bought groceries at the Coop. Would highly recommend staying here if planning a trip to this region of Italy.

Nice stay in off season

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in February. It was a nice location for day trips to Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Siena. Since it was the off season, almost no shops in Castellina in Chianti were open (and very few in San Gimignano) which was fine for us. We loved a hiking trail that ran right past the property. Check in was provided by the Italian Mama, who was very helpful and sweet (no English). The place was pleasant and quiet and dark at night, great for sleeping. Lots of birds during the day. We were a little chilly in the evenings (19 C) and didn’t notice until the last day that to increase the temperature we were supposed to email the owner, so that’s on us, but I do wonder if the language barrier at check in might have prevented such useful information from being communicated. Overall a lovely visit and it is easy to recommend.

Beautiful cottage

Charming quaint cottage with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The property contains a road way we used to walk everyday. We saw deer and a fox as well as beautiful mountain vistas. The town of Castellino is so charming with friendly people, a nice market and a couple nice restaurants. Bonus was the winery on the adjacent property. Take advantage of this lovely winery, have lunch and a tour you won’t be disappointed, make a reservation. This is also a great location to take day trips to all the Tuscan hill towns of San Gimigiano, Montepulciano, Siena and Greve. Enjoy
