Amazing home in Castel del Piano (GR)

Part of a two-family house, formerly a characteristic Tuscan farmhouse 2.5 km from Castel del Piano. The house has two floors, but although your apartment is on the upper floor, you can reach your apartment without having to master steps due to the particular nature of the property. The surrounding property has a common entrance with the other part of the house; however, you have a large, private outdoor area at your disposal and therefore you are able to spend an undisturbed and relaxing vacation. Your vacation home is surrounded by greenery in the typical hilly landscape at the foothills of Monte Amiata. The house is surrounded by a spacious, communal outdoor area, where you will also find the large, covered and equipped terrace with barbecue and wood-burning oven. Another open terrace on the other side of the house is perfect for your breakfast, for an extensive sunbath or an aperitif at sunset. Castel del Piano, a characteristic medieval village with stores of all kinds is 2.5 km away, Arcidosso is about 3 km away. From here you can also easily reach the area of Valdorcia, famous for its variety of landscapes, and Montalcino (about 15 km), known worldwide for its excellent quality wine Brunello di Montalcino. The wonderful Monte Amiata (1,732 m high) with its hiking routes for trekking enthusiasts, which becomes a popular ski resort in winter, is about 20 km away. If, on the other hand, you want to spend a day at the beach, we recommend a day trip to the beautiful sandy beaches of the Maremma coast, such as Principina a Mare or Marina di Grosseto, about 50 km away. Bagno Vignoni, on the other hand, a medieval village with thermal baths, is only about 20 minutes away and other thermal baths such as those of Chianciano Terme or San Casciano dei Bagni can be reached in an hour's drive. On request, the owner of your apartment will be happy to show you how to make pasta yourself, for example the typical Tuscan maccheroni; don't miss this opportunity to taste one of the many Tuscan specialties.

Home was beautifully decorated. From fancy linen and bedding to furniture and kitchenware.

Scenery amazing and sitting areas outside very welcoming. Sound of creek and fruit trees and vegetable garden. Wonderful place to enjoy with surrounding hilltop towns to visit
