Casa Tara - Two Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 4

Tara is a typical countryside farmhouse in Puglia composed of a Saracen Trullo (the "tower" with thick walls, once used as winter shelter by shepherds). The bathroom, with a shower and bidet, connects to a spacious laundry room with a washing machine, ironing board, steam iron, and detergent for some washes. Linens and personal hygiene products (shower gel, intimate soap, hand soap) are provided. In the area adjacent to the laundry room, outdoors, there is a large clothesline where clothes can be dried in the sun, but you will also find a small drying rack for any emergencies or convenience. Lovingly renovated, located southeast of Ostuni (BS), in the Itria Valley, high Salento, Tara offers two double beds, one in the Trullo and one in the other room where there is also a sofa that can be transformed into a single bed if necessary. The kitchen has been renovated drawing inspiration from the old farms in the area where the work surfaces are in masonry and the concrete stone sink is embedded in the structure; it has a gas stove with 5 burners and electric oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, espresso coffee machine with compostable pods, milk frother, pots and pans, juicer, kettle, kitchen knives. Plates, glasses, cutlery, cups, mugs, food containers for the refrigerator and freezer, some baking trays, and various accessories (corkscrew, bottle opener, scissors, vegetable peeler, citrus juicer, cutting boards, teapot) are also provided. For ecological reasons, we do not have an air conditioning system, but the stone walls insulate the house, maintaining an optimal temperature especially if you remember to always close the doors to prevent excessive summer heat from entering. A couple of fans present in the rooms are sufficient to ensure optimal cooling. For digital nomads, WiFi is always available. Two gazebos in front will provide the necessary shade for outdoor activities: one for the dining table and one for the relaxation area. You also have a pair of sun loungers. There is also a barbecue for grilling meat, fish, and vegetables. The house is surrounded by over 17,000 square meters of land, with almost 200 olive trees and many fruit trees. So you have all the space you need to let the children run wild... and park under the shade of the olive trees in front of the house. Dogs, cats, and all animals are welcome! The farmhouse is far from the main roads and therefore from traffic noise. In the back, Vera and Fabrizio, the owners, live permanently, with a dog (who will soon become your peaceful friend) and three cats who enjoy cuddles. The animals are all vaccinated, treated with antiparasitic agents, and are free from diseases; they are regularly followed by the veterinarian. The owners are always available for any problems or special requests. The city of Ostuni is a 10-minute drive away. The sea is 15 minutes away. From the farmhouse, you can reach the many tourist destinations in the area in less than an hour: Alberobello with its spectacular Trulli, Locorotondo with its unique architectural structure, Monopoli, Putignano, known for Modugno and its breathtaking cliffs, Ceglie Messapica, which will amaze you with its gastronomic tradition rich in variety and genuineness of products, the splendid natural park of Torre Guaceto, Cisternino (the "Switzerland" of the Itria Valley), the Selva di Fasano, the caves of Castellana, Lecce and its Baroque architecture that at the end of the day covers the city with a golden color reflecting the light on the Salento tuff, Mesagne, San Vito Dei Normanni, San Michele Salentino, Martina Franca, and its famous capocollo, Grottaglie with its typical ceramics.
