Convenient to Boardwalk, restaurants. Liked the short pier connected to the restaurant. Balcony was small but room was big and really enjoyed hearing the ocean. Staff very friendly.
The location was excellent and had a great view but the room was tiny, moldy, and the bed was hard. The quality was that of a cheap interstate motel. I literally got a sinus infection from reactions to the mold in the room. It was in the wall between the shower and closet, so if you opened the closet to put anything away, you got a nose full of mold where the paint was moisture peeling away from the walls. And entering the room you could smell mold. Also, my husband's apple watch went "missing" and no one is coming forward about it. That's a problem. The location can't be beaten, but the pictures also don't show the giant sand pipe running through the beach either. At nearly $700 for a two-day weekend stay, I expect a clean room without mold and to not make your feet black from walking on the carpet. At that price I expect belongings to not disappear. The front desk was polite, but for the price, this is not it.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay here at Golden Sands Oceanfront Hotel. We take pride in our guest rooms being the absolute best they can be and to hear that fell short for you is disappointing. I can assure you that if anything is found in our guest rooms, our housekeeping staff turns it in the to front desk and anything of value is locked away in my office for safekeeping. I will make sure that our maintenance engineer looks carefully for any mold as that is a major health problem both for our guests and our staff. This winter, we will be going through a major renovation and all of the guest rooms will be redone from head to toe. I do hope that you will return and let us give you a relaxing beach vacation! Thank you again and have a great day,
