Enjoy a day exploring the Lake District National Park, the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and, of course, Hadrian’s Wall which is basically on your doorstep, or even a day trip to Scotland to discover the beautiful Scottish Borders.
The Old Reading Room is in the ideal location in the stunning Cumbrian countryside with something to offer all visitors, young and old, those seeking adventure, and those seeking peace and quiet, with its history, landscape of mountains and lakes and much, much more.
