This was our first stop on our honeymoon trip and by far the best place i´ve been in my Life. Great rooms, incredible jungle, great service, and the best vibe: peaceful fun! Hope another Adventure take me back some day!.

Pros: Our bungalow was quaint and had a lot of character Comfy bed Quiet location Locked gate at night Cons: Poor wifi - only available in 1 common area and was very spotty if it worked at all. Wifi in restaurant did not work at all. Breakfast had little to no options (especially if vegetarian) and was only served from 7-9am Soap dispenser in shower did not work There wasn’t anywhere to fill our water bottles and the sink was too shallow to fit them Poorly lit bathrooms in restaurant Restaurant bathroom was flooded No safes in rooms (our safe # didn’t even work when we attempted to use it) About 6km from the strip in Puerto Viejo, not too much nearby The coffee in the lounge was mediocre and the paper cups leaked Overall we did not think the value for money spent was worth it. Wouldn’t go again and wouldn’t recommend.

We had a great night at this hotel. Everything went well during our stay. The staff was so polite and helpful, the bungalow was very private, spacious and clean, the food was great, the pool very nice and it is near the best beaches. We also saw a lot of wild animals like squirrels, birds and even an armadillo.

A year ago, i visited CR with some friends. And we was the luckiest because we found Namuwoki on teipadvisor. It was really an unique experience. A perfect place to rest and relax in absolut contact with nature. A beautiful and simple hotel with too much heart and spirit. I want go back some day.

This place was where we spent 3 days of our 8 day honeymoon in Costa Rica and it was wonderful! The people were very kind and helpful. The breakfast and dinners were delicious and we felt comfortable in our room. We would recommend this place to anyone in the Puerto Viejo area. It is a little ways from town so plan rides accordingly.

This is a nice place to stay for friends, couples and families. Cabins are big and comfortable. You really feel like in the middle of the jungle specially at night when monkeys yell all the time and you hear all kinds of animals. If you are lucky you can spot a sloth up in the trees. The reason I dont give a 5 star is the bed. Our cabin bed was really unconfortable, we woke every morning with back ache. The other improvement could be breakfast. Not many options and very limited. Other than that, good value for the money

Very nice place to stay puerto viejo The hotel is very clean and service is great. Rooms do not have air conditioned but you can ask for an extra fan if you are felling to hot. The places has good restaurant and a small pool to relax Very pintoresc

This is a very small hotel set in a jungle not far from the sea. It is not and never will be a 5 star resort, however I give it 4 stars as it suited my wife and my life styles. The rooms are set in bungalows, we were offered an upgrade to the best room on the site, the honeymoon suite. This has a large bedroom with double bed a separate bathroom with shower, a small kitchen, and a veranda with a jacuzzi, two arm chairs and a sofa. Cooling is by means of ceiling fans. There is an open sided restaurant building facing a small swimming pool, an open sided lounge as well as a separate reception and office building. All the buildings are connected by paths through dense jungle gardens. The shade from the trees kept the buildings cool while we were there. Breakfast was served every morning from a small choice menu. Fruit, fruit juice, toast and butter and eggs were available, quite enough for us but maybe others would expect a larger choice. The restaurant was not open for lunch and only open on one night of the three we stayed there. There is no bar for evening drinks except while eating in the restaurant. There are three small cafes within 400 yards, although at any one time only one of them seemed to be open and one lunch time none of them were open. We were here in the low season and there were few tourists about which probably explains the lack of refreshments. There is however a small supermarket just 100 yards from the lodge where staple foods, drinks and snacks can be bought, except on Sundays when it is closed. The kitchen in the bungalow was very poorly provided with cutlery or crockery, except for two small espresso sized cups and two glass tumblers and a coffee maker. Given that we were forced to buy food and drinks from the supermarket as no nearby restaurants were open, plates cutlery and bottle openers would have been useful. Free wi-fi was available at reception, the restaurant, the lounge and in the rooms nearest the reception, which included the honeymoon suite becoming less powerful the further from reception. The staff were very pleasant and the rooms clean and our bed comfortable. The beach is on the other side of the main road 600 to 800 yards away along narrow paths. The beach is very attractive but I personally would not swim there as the sharp coral rocks were very close to the edge of the beach although some people were swimming where there was sufficient space between the sandy beach and the coral rocks.

3 of us had the 5 bedroom bungalow (No9) which would be fantastic for a family as it comes equipped with hammock and large verandah. Agoutis inhabit the grounds as do the green dart frogs and other critters. Food in the restaurant was very good, and not too overpriced, and the location is not too far off the main road which has one or two independent roadside restaurants. We ate in each night, and had chef prepare a 'picnic' for our return at 9.30pm from our nightwalk. The hotel may be a little quiet for some at the start of the low season, but it suited us as we had hired a car to get us out and about.

the Lodge is very pretty full of vegetation, the cabins/Bungalows are all made of wood and have palm tree leafs in the roof. We got a big cabin (seemed like a family bungalow) which had one room downstairs with a full size bed and upstairs there where another three or four twin beds. Only have to cross the street to get to the beach also there is a small grocery store outside Namuwoki. Perfect place to relax. no TV in the rooms. Free wifi
