Welcomed with champagne and strawberries in a magical castle. From the outside it is majestic and on the inside it has been beautifully restored. The rooms are very nice and they don't spare anything on amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Exquisite! Location, staff, food. All amazing and wonderful.

Great time and great location. Was worth the drive out of barcelona.

We've stayed at several paradors in the past, and with the exception of the Granada parador, this was the best! This is the kind of place that makes you get staying at paradors. This is an ancient, hilltop, castle and fortress. The location is amazing. The drive to get there along back roads in the mountains from Girona is gorgeous, and then you wrap it up with this truly spectacular spot. The rooms and food aren't commiserate with the price, which seems to be the case at all paradors. But this location is hard to beat. The town is quaint, and if you are young and fit the walking path into town is very nice, though it isn't completely lit at night (there is an app for that). This was a highlight of the trip for us!
