Excellent front desk service when we arrived. Lovely room with queen size bed and sofa bed for our teenage daughter. Brilliant buffet style breakfast. Good bar. Very relaxed couple of nights. Only spoilt by some selfish guests who knocked doors and shouted in the early hours. Not a fault of the hotel though - there are idiots everywhere.

Had 2 rooms. 1 being an executive room. Toilet in one was filthy and even after informing reception it still wasn’t cleaned! Other room had hairs in bath and also one of the beds. Our children slept on towels rather than lay on the sheets! Informed reception but they didn’t really say anything other than “oh sorry about that”?! Not good enough. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel has a lovely pool and small gym area. Rooms are basic but adequate and comfortable with all you would need including tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and top ups served until 11am which was great for us!! Bar staff / breakfast staff/reception staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel is within a 10 minute walk of the city centre so ideal. Only thing I can fault is that towels placed in bath were not replaced on 1 day otherwise staff were quick to respond to our needs and extra pillows were provided super quickly on request. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is good value, room was clean, slept 2+2 comfortably for one night, and staff were courteous. Pool facilities clean and all working well. Breakfast was very good Just two points I felt deserve a mention: if you prepay, you can't put anything on your room, which was a bit embarrassing. Car park payment should be clearer, at £12 it's a significant extra on the room price.

Great hotel - I have visited before - good central location with car parking. Great rooms and The Shed (Bar & food) a great addition. Good quality food reasonably priced. A 6min walk to John Lewis & a swimming pool - what's not to love. Will always use when I stay in Cardiff

Slightly complicated to book adjoining rooms but once I'd achieved that the rest of the trip was plain sailing. Staff were helpful and friendly. All the facilities were brilliant and ticked the boxes. Restaurant was not bad if not slightly over priced, staff were friendly and helpful though and very welcoming. Ideal for getting to without having to navigate traffic or City Centre, but close enough to walk into town.

We arrived at 2.45 to find despite being given our room key that the room wasn't ready. Back to reception to let them know they apologised & gave us a drinks voucher. We presented the voucher at the bar only to be told the it didn't cover spirits! Room was eventually ready at 3.30pm! We paid a small fortune for this room due to the hotel hiking their prices up as a result of the Joshua fight so would have thought the room should at least have been ready.

Check-in was slow but the staff were very friendly. The hotel has two lifts. Our room was a decent size. The bed was on the firm side, but had all non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately, there were no power outlets near each side of the bed--in this modern age of electronics, hotels really need at least a simple power hub on each nightstand so guests can charge phones and devices at bedside. The room had a tea kettle/coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, an iron and ironing board, and a multi-speed hair dryer. The bathroom had a tub and a separate shower stall. Unfortunately, there was some mold in the tile grout; housekeeping needs to spend some time scrubbing that clean. The shower water pressure was weak, but the hot water stayed hot. The towels were rather thin. The free WiFi mostly worked well, but it was open--not secure! The hotel food was just so-so, but the bar was nice. The hotel has a large open-air parking lot at £12 per night. I'd probably stay again if the price was right, but I might be tempted to look elsewhere.

The hotel is located a short 10-15 min wLk to the city centre amenities, there is ample on site parking which is 1/2 the price of the public car parks for 24 hrs, the room was large, spotlessly clean and well appointed. There is a leisure suite, spa and gym on site we used the leisure suite with a fab oool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The breakfast was superb it was a self service with a huge variety of choice all well prepared and good quality. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. We had our room at a very competitive price. No complaints just book it you won’t be disappointed!

Stayed 3 nights for conference - 20 minute walk to Millennium Centre or 3 minute taxi ride. Very comfortable bed in good sized room with air con, separate shower from bath, excellent breakfasts, and very good service. Glitch with boarding passes on departure ably resolved by John who was very helpful. Overall very happy with this hotel and would happily recommend as a base to explore the lovely city of Cardiff.
