I was shown to an amazing quirky themed room I had my own verander terrace to myself wow amazing. Can’t put my finger on the theme tropical cozy maybe. Jolyon is a gent and brought my bags up and offered me a coffee. I opted instead for a bottle wine from the shop next door .... sun was out I was in heaven. In the morning I had a lovely breakfast cooked to order the full English amazing pretty food wish my husband cooked like Jolyon I will be back
We stayed just one night to see concert at Wales Millennium Centre and the location couldn't have been better. Our room actually looked out onto the Centre! The room was very comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Jolyon (the owner) was really friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good, plenty to eat both continental and cooked. Parking was in a designated area very near to the house which was a bonus. We Look forward to coming back having found this gem of a place.
Loved this hotel Fab location Lovely room overlooking Millenium Centre Furnished with care and I want the mirror over the bed - I will now look for one similar Nice little touches like sweets in the room
We stayed at Jolyons whilst visiting Cardiff for the cricket in June. We considered the many chain hotels on offer in the city, but opted for this more unique option. The rooms are very nicely decorated and impeccably clean. Bottled water and sweets replaced in the rooms on a daily basis! The owner was very welcoming, chatty and friendly. Breakfast was great too. The location is excellent. I imagine some people might not enjoy the noise from the street on a fri/sat night, but we didn’t find this intrusive and it is to be expected if you choose to stay in the centre of the bay area. Many thanks for a lovely stay! Diolch yn fawr.
Stayed here for The Rolling Stones gig. Jolyon (owner) was super friendly, place was really nice and quirky, rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast down in the renovated basement was a joy, plenty of choice both continental and traditional cooked English. The location was super, right in the heart of Cardiff Day area with plenty to see and do. Will definitely be back.
A fabulous one night stay in Jolyon's Boutique Hotel - Jolyon very friendly, helpful and informative. Great location - walked from the railway station and return by the ferry which drops off at Cardiff Castle. 10/10 only wished we could have stayed longer.
We’ve stayed here loads of times & it’s our favourite hotel in Cardiff. It has a unique feel to it, you feel so cosy & relaxed. The rooms are spacious & always clean. Make sure you have a chat with the owner, he’s lovely & makes you feel at home. The cooked breakfast is a must, all of the ingredients are top quality. If you’re staying in the Bay then stop here, you’re smack bang in the middle & you’ll love it.
Stayed here for 3 nights last week, what a find. Jolyon was a star, what a lovely man! I rarely write reviews but felt motivated to after our stay here. We had 4 of the 7 (I think) rooms and felt like it was a home away from home. Hotel has everything you need, rooms were all different, attractive and spotless. Breakfast was fab! Perfect location for the bay, restaurants and opera house. Highly recommended!
We stayed in town in a hotel and asked if they would print our boarding tickets for our flight they said no. A bit shocked with response we declined to go to the bay for a walk before we fly and we enjoyed cardiff bay. We just popped in to Jolyons hotel and the guy on the desk was really friendly we asked if he could print our tickets. Within a minute it was done for is no questions asked. Well he asked if we wanted a glass of water. Nice guy. We where told Welsh people are ffriedly this guy proved it. Thank you We forgot to get your name Tall man
Jolyons is a wonderful boutique hotel perfectly located if you are visiting Cardiff Bay or taking in a show at the Wales Millennium Centre (2 minute walk). It is also within easy reach of the city centre. The rooms are interestingly furnished, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is brilliant, cooked to order using the finest ingredients. There is always a warm welcome and the host is charming, caring and a fount of local knowledge. Highly recommended!!!
