Handily located at motorway services but far enough from the carriageway not to hear it. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. Lady on reception was very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. . But rather too many niggles. The electric heater in my room was hanging loose off the wall at one end, soap dispenser in shower was empty, no toilet paper (had to ask reception for some), shower control took some getting used to. Biggest gripe was doors with very stiff locks that you had to push or pull hard to close properly with intrusively banging results as guests came and went. OK for a night on the road, and Expedia got me a great low price. Just don't expect too much.

A failed hotel booking at the Rangeworthy Court Hotel, required I find a room at 21.00 during the dreaded Gold Cup week that fills all the accommodation up in Gloucestershire. Days Inn - Magor Services - Gwent, came up trumps. Booked at 21.15, arrived at 21.50. Well decorated room for 2 nights without issues. Slept soundly no traffic noise from the M4 just 2 minuets away.

Was getting late, this was a busy service station, ,followed a family who were spending a week on holiday, i thought bit odd , but not bad for a budget, very friendly receptionist, reasonable price, room was ok smelled of smoke, place felt a bit edgy outside , was quite a few vaping/smoking outside , checking out in the morning the receptionist looked as though she was doing the cleaning as well, hard job i reckon,

Im only giving this a 1 star if could mark it lower I would. We arrived to be checked in at 8pm after a 7 hour drive. To be told we didn’t have a 2 rooms booked. I explained that I had called 2 weeks earlier to confirm if we had 1 or 2 rooms to be assured we did have 2 rooms. I called back to pay for the room to be informed we were to pay on arrival. I called the hotel direct on both occasions. On checkin the receptionist informed me that it was a central reservation line that I would have called and it’s not there policy. What ever she meant by this is still a mystery. She kept telling me I hadn’t called the hotel it was a reservation line at head office. So I called the number I had the previous 2 times (my husband said are you calling her) only for her to answer the phone and pretend to speak to someone on the line. I hung up and held my phone out of sight called the number again, for her to answer the phone. You can image the complete anger. She eventually found a second room conveniently next door to each other. The hallway to our room was disgusting the carpet was saturated and squelched under our feet and had poo in the carpet and stank. Both room were next door to each other and were both very unclean. The double room was a disabled room with a mattress that was too small for the base. The cups wee dirty the bathroom looked as if it’s hadn’t been cleaned between uses. The carpets were covered in dirt. Window latch was broken. One bedside cabinet. The twin room was not much better a bath plug wrapped in electrical tape to fit the plug hole. Dirty bedding smelling of damp both rooms shower were unusable only a trickle of water came out the temperature regulator didn’t work you either got freezing cold or scalding hot. Having stayed at the Days inn Coventry, I was expecting the same standard of hotel. This made our visit very stressful and would never recommend this to anyone. If your needing a cheap hotel in this area do not waste your money on this place. Sent from my iPhone

The price was great it was the cheapest in the area which why i am very surprised on the level of quailty in this hotel. The staff are outstanding i meet two staff members both went out of there way checked us early, told us about where to go in the area. Not only that on a very cold day receptionist gone into our room closed curtians, turned tv and heating on which we was very impressed. Quailty of care wasnt missed by the staff.The room was very clean, Overall the genine hospitality was outstanding 10 out of 10,i would stay in more hotels if i experience this service everytime.

Handy hotel for travelers to and from Wales. Basic in finish, worn in places, but it has everything you need, and dogs are accepted without notification, it just costs 10 quid extra. We were pleasantly surprised by a worn but comfortable sofa in the room, a hair dryer and lots of space. Although on the motorway, noise was at an acceptable level. Our only criticism was that the chamber maid had skimped on toilet paper: the bathroom has a double loo roll holder, but both rolls were too far near the end. It's nice to shape a V in the paper, it looks nice, but if that paper is quite near the end of the roll, it should really be replaced with a new roll. But this inn provides value for money.

ok lets start its nearly clean, the bathroom was nearly clean, the shower curtain was smelly, the bath around the taps was nearly clean, the flooring was cracked and broken, the tiles behind the door were broken, its nearly quiet, because the window catches didn't work and the noise from outside was louder than it should be, the bed was nearly comfortable, the pillows were like breeze blocks, ok if you like memory foam, the electric socket behind the tv was broken, nearly an electric shock, its just waiting to happen. there are some positives, its cheap well positioned and the staff are nice, i would use again just try a different room to 114

Clean, basic and comfortable. My room was large and had everything I need. A hair dryer is always appreciated so I'm glad these are included as standard. The staff were very lovely and efficient. The location is excellent for a flying visit and the device station amenities are very helpful.

Ancient bathrooms, mouldy grout, tarnished chrome taps, rusty shower rails, sagging roll to the middle mattresses, filthy urine stained duvets hidden under spotless duvet covers, mega worn smelly carpets, BEWARE

Would like to thank days inn magor staff, never meet such freindly and helpful team. it was very busy evening, unfortanlly due to weather made it worse. But can not fault the hotel booking wasnt corrected. but they made everything they could to improve our stay. Rooms was clean and had everything that was required.
