The hotel is located very close to the train station, as well as only a 5 minute walk from the shopping centre. It is in a very ideal location, just on the edge of the nightlife, so it isn't as loud as other places may be. The room had comfortable beds, with clean sheets, as well as a working shower (with a door lock), iron & board, TV, and AC.

Pretty good stay
Room was ready early which allowed me to check in a little early. Check in process took about 60 seconds which was nice. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was a little dirty and worn in places. Half the corner window was blanked out. Was still glass but couldn’t see through it. View would have been amazing otherwise. Biggest issue was being able to hear next doors air con ‘thrumming’ away all night. Which made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good. Overall a nice hotel but a few things let it down.

I really enjoyed staying here. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, modern, and everything you could ask for. The only con is the tv doesn’t connect to wifi so you can’t watch and streaming services but apart from that everything was excellent.

The service at Clayton hotel was good. The staff was also helpful and polite. I Would definitely recommend staying at Clayton due to its excellent location within the city centre.

Hotel next to train station
Good location in central Cardiff. Room was comfy and had everything you need including a fridge. Shower head is fixed and so was the shower screen so it's impossible to keep your hair dry trying to turn the shower on because you have to stand in the bath and lean down to turn the bath/shower taps on. Need to provide a shower cap if not providing a shower hose.

Weekend stay away
We had a lovely stay, made even better by an unexpected upgrade on check in. Originally booked for one night then stayed the previous night as well, reception very accommodating to make it so we didn't have to change rooms. Bags were looked after while we finished of stay in town with some shopping, even after check out , which was very helpful. We will be back.
