Room had a bad smell and the windows did not open. Something like a fire alarm kept sounding.
The landscape was beautifully maintained with an array of flowers. They welcomed our pet ($40 fee) but put us in a room that was downstairs and so close to exit which made accessing outdoor very easy. Only glitch is I left my credit card in the card reader at check-in and front desk worker never bothered to call our room and let us know. When I figured it out a bit later - I was panicked and had to start retracing steps. Would have been courteous to contact us immediately as a heads up and safe us a lot of distress. It wasn't like she didn't know who we were or how to reach us.

The Comfort Inn Carbondale, Co was simply perfect for our visit. The staff was pleasant, grounds kept up, rooms clean and pool:sauna perfect temps. We came to visit our son who is now living here and will definitely use this facility again. Thank you much!

The property seemed like it used to be in good shape but is poorly maintained.
Clean, well maintained room, although at least the one we got was really small - would have been tough for four people even w the two queen bed layout. Enjoyed the breakfast well enough to not do my usual escape to a restaurant or coffee shop. Would stay again
On a quick get away. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty decent. Tiny tiny pool.
I really enjoyed my stay in this Comfort Inn. First of all, the staff allowed us to stay earlier for about an hour and she was very pleasant about this. The room was clean, wifi was okay could be better, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a view of the beautiful mountains. The breakfast was excellent they had sausages, bacon, and egg. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to this town

The stay at the Comfort Inn was pleasant however the cold, rainy windy weather prevented us from our primary purpose to bike from Aspen to Carbondale. Plus it seems, even though the weather in general was inviting to biking, the buses were not yet outfitted with the bike racks needed to get Carbondale bikers to Aspen to bike back. We generally do this trip 3 times a year so our disappointment was high, but not in the lodging.
What a great surprise this hotel was. The staff makes you feel like you were home from the moment you check-in. Spacious rooms were super clean and quiet. you can do no wrong staying here.
The first room I was in smelled horribly. The second room was disappointing. There was a hole in the carpet, a hole in the wall, the TV remote sometimes worked and the channel guide was incorrect. The curtains are very sheer so people can see in at night and the bathroom smelled like smoke.
Hotel is small and very friendly. Great price for suite. Hot breakfast included.

Oh my, that's never good. But our hotel doesn't have thermostats... our guests are able to control the climate firmly by noting their preference on the cooling/ heating unit itself. Maybe it was a different hotel on your journey! We appreciate you staying with us!
