This was our first time staying in Captiva after vacationing in Sanibel for the past 10 years, and we’re so glad we made the switch. Our group included five adults and a five-month-old, and the space fit us perfectly. We’re not fancy people, so the fact that the unit wasn’t updated (as mentioned in other reviews) did not bother us at all. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and everything we needed for a relaxing stay was provided. The property itself was fantastic. We played pickleball every day, and the pool was warm, clean, and well maintained, with plenty of seating for lounging. Jensen’s is directly across the street—perfect for sunrise views and even spotting manatees. The beach is an easy five-minute walk, where we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and took beautiful family photos. The location is ideal with so much within walking distance—restaurants, ice cream, coffee at the Bubble Room, and Starbucks just an eight-minute walk away. South Seas is also starting a day-pass option for their pools and water slides, which we look forward to checking out on our next visit. The unit included four beach chairs, an umbrella, and two camping chairs. A wagon would have been helpful for transporting items to the beach, but it was manageable. We also took a sunset cruise from McCarthy Marina, only a five-minute walk away, and it was absolutely picture-perfect.We can’t wait to return and would happily stay here again.
