This is a wonderful place and Elizabeth is very friendly and helpful. Steps from amazing snorkeling and a short drive to the place of refuge and two step. Easy drive up to Kona for nightlife if you’re interested. Kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms are comfortable. Gets hot if there is no breeze but that’s pretty rare and you can always cool off in K Bay!

Disgruntled Neighbors and noisy Roosters
This is a wonderful house, has everything a party of 6 could need, the location on the bay is fantastic, and the owners are great. However, the neighbors (local Hawaiians) did not seem happy we were there. When we sat on the deck talking (no loud music) they would yell "quiet" at 10 pm on a Saturday night, which really put an abrupt end to our fun conversations. When we put on music during the day, they would turn up their music so loud that we could not hear our music, we soon gave up on playing our own music. The neighbors made us feel quite unwelcome. Their roosters start crowing at around 5 am, so be aware that it will be noisy (and the upstairs bedroom does not have windows you can close, just screen windows).

Exceeded Expectations
We were completely overwhelmed by how incredible this experience was for our family. The property far exceeded our expectations — the photos truly don’t do it justice. It’s a stunning estate, perfectly situated near Captain Cook Cove with easy access to nearby trails. Check-in was seamless, and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate our family of seven. We’d recommend this place to anyone… though part of us wishes we could keep it our little secret!

The Neighborhood Rental
Owners were VERY nice and responsive to any need or requests. The home is beyond beautiful inside with exotic wood floors and carvings. We really enjoyed the nearby chickens/roosters, rugged lava shore, and nearby parks. This is a country neighborhood, not a resort. We loved it!

Great Family Get Away
This is truly a Hawaiian experience house. Great community and easy access to a nearby beach, If you are into kayaking walk a few hundred feet the other way to the boat launch and there are kayak rentals there. No driving and trying to park! Stayed there 5 nights and went kayaking 2 of them it was so much fun. Great hosts as well and the house was great for the family of 6. A bit further is a two step and great snorkeling beach there. Volcano 2 hour drive. Kona 30 minute drive. Went to the Green beach 1 hour drive. Perfect location for touriest things and just relaxing.

Excellent beach home
The house, grounds, and proximity to the water could not have been better. We all know that you can’t pick your neighbors and in this case between the barking dogs and very very early roosters whose coop was right next to us made watching sunrise a daily occurrence. Wax earplugs were very helpful!

Wonderful family sanctuary
This home is a short walk from Manini Point with nightly exquisite sunsets and from Manini Beach, a shaded, grassy beach area great for children and families. Kealakekua Bay is just spectacular. Elizabeth was a warm host and the home has a great wrap around porch, expansive kitchen for group cooking, and a ping pong table which was great for teens and adults alike. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it if you are looking to stay in a neighborhood environment without a lot of tourist activity around you.
