This hotel has beautiful tiles and dining room area. Lots of places to walk to,but keep in mind very steep hills on the Capri. Charming streets and lots of shops. For me most hotels in Italy have hard matresses on bed and flat pillows. Had to sleep with windows open as it was unusually warm for Oct. Avoid Room 113 if possible as it is just above entrance. Nice large bath towels and good food.
Great location and lovely buffet breakfast. We were lucky enough to get a beautiful sea view room on the 4th floor. A discount to eat in at their restaurant. Very clean. I would absolutely stay here again. Lovely staff. Thank you!
The lobby is beautiful. The room is small but very outdated. There is not much of a view from my room. The pool is tiny. The room is clean but is overpriced for the amenities. The shower was clean but had water stains all over the metal.
Upon arrival we got an upgrade to the top floor with a massive terrace. The room was so large, with a double vanity in the bathroom and a walk in wardrobe. The rooms were clean and fresh and never had a problem with the staff, which were always friendly and helpful! The restaurant downstairs was fantastic as well, with the best pizza we have had throughout our travels in Italy. Would defiantly recommend!!
Quaint hotel on the isle of Capri. Modern amenities. Nice quiet pool, area, bar and rooms with balcomies overlooing the pool. There is outdoor dining and room for a tour group or banquet. Hotel located in walking distance of town, cable car and gardens.
This hotel is very well placed to see the island from. Staff, meals and room very good and swimming pool provided some nice relief from the heat. Only negative was the lack of room facilities for tea/coffee making although this was covered by room service without any extra cost.
Very good location in Capri, walking distance from Piazetta and the Funiculare, and bus station. What is very important in Capri, because trasportation is an issue on this island. Good hotel, nice quiet Rooms with airconditioning. Since we needed to reach our plane at Neaples airport we had to start our journey early. First luggages two hours before the ship leaves, than we used the funiculare to reach the harbour, and cruising 1 hour to Neaples. After the bus or taxi to the airport. So it is challenging, but finally everything worked, slowly, especially the bus. So by doing all this we were not received breakfast because the restaurant was opening at 7.30, and the hotel was not given food package. When I asked to be reimbursed by the price of the breakfast , the answer was: not possible, because the rate was calculated with breakfast. Funny isn't it?
The above three were certainly not available as the decision to visit Capri was made only just three days beforehand. However with just one day to go, a cancellation came through for a room with a view at the Regina Cristina and this was snapped up immediately of course! What a nice prize it was then to find that the Regina Cristina Hotel was well located in the town just off the "Bond Street" of Capri and with great sea views of the wondrous ocean and holiday sailing scene that Capri is well known for. The hotel is well served in terms of its rooms, restaurant, terrace and a rather small pool which I would use mainly for cooling off and Jacuzzi purposes! The seaview was definitely there and waking up to sunshine and a view of all the boats in the ocean is still a magnificent way to start each day. The staff were congenial and hospitable in organising restaurant reservations, making suggestions and booking our boat trip, which everyone should do when they visit Capri. They were also helpful enough in booking our luggage transfer down to the harbour so that on the final day so we could just saunter down and take the funicular to the harbour and collect our luggage and tickets with the captain at the actual dock. Hadn't been to Capri for say at least 10 years, and the hotel and ease of location certainly helped make this a memorable revisit.
so it's up to Capri for tea and some much needed sustenance There's dozens of restaurants to choose from so pick one at a 4 star hotel that's got a good ambience and layout. My partner orders the Carbonara and I'm persuaded by the waiter to choose the special that is "Bella" I should have known better. The special is pasta and seafood. When it comes there's 4-5 pieces of pasta that are not cooked There are about half a dozen clam shells with nothing in because the clams have been cooked that slowly they appear to have run off. The mussels meanwhile having gone nowhere near any heat are clamped that tightly you need a hammer and chisel to get in them. Neither of these items have been provided so they sit there covered in seaweed laughing up at me. Call waiter over and try to tell him that the food is not very good but he doesn't seem to understand what "notcooked" means. So we end up paying about £20 for the plate and I've still not eaten all day and I'm not happy. My partners Carbonara is a bit better but consists mainly of sauce and very little pasta. May have just been my dish but it doesn't get a recommend I'm afraid.
We stayed for 2 nights as part of a tour group. Our hotel room was great, clean and roomy with a water view. Overall a nice place with a fantastic location. I feel management was trying, but the staff in some areas was either short or very new? The bartender was a little bit clueless, and it was not his language barrier. I asked for a gin and tonic- he filled a large glass with ice and added gin to the top and handed me a bottle of tonic water. No lie! There was also not a huge selection of liquor and only one white or red wine to choose from. A happy hour was offered with really strange food items like fried red rice balls ? and kind of weird other fried ball type foods- almost like they were cleaning out the refrigerator trying to come up with snacks for us. It was almost like they were not aware we were coming to stay there. We had a group dinner and the food was horrendous! Breakfasts were good though! I have to say if they can fix the bar situation and get a better chef for meals the place would be awesome. The people working there were very nice- I would go back, overall our stay was good. They have a little pool and the outdoor seating area was comfortable.
