The Reeds is perfectly nestled on the bay offering views and sunsets that rival the finest and in a quaint part of town that affords all visitors a place to venture, shop, dine and absorb the uniqueness that is Stone Harbor. The accommodations are simple, elegant and exquisite. The ambience is opulent but relaxed and each staff member assures this. Whether inside or out, the dining offers playful, modern menus and pleasurable food. It is detailedly a work of exceptional artistry and whether you live far or near, like me, consider visiting this special place where The Reeds are rooted.
Had dinner with my daughter at Reeds hotel restaurant inside. Very nice great service. Food was good but pricey. You pay for the upscale hotel ambience but food average. It is nice in the winter when it’s less crowded and they have the fireplace is on. We also had brunch on their deck in the summer. Extremely expensive. A bit of a tourist trap. Bar was so crowded you couldn’t even get a drink. Bartenders were rude. But also better Service after the summer crowd leaves. Nice Bay views. An “over 50” crowd at inside bar. If you want a younger feel go to Avalon. Valet parking$10. Attire: cute summer casual , winter is more dressy.
Stone Harbor is a great town. It has needed a great hotel for decades. When I heard about The Reeds I was really excited. Just spent the weekend there and was deeply disappointed. The staff was overwhelmed with two weddings ... they were dismissive ... and they were laser focused on their events. We mere guests? An annoyance. The rooms are fine ... classic coastal design, but hardly worth $500/night offseason. The public spaces were so jam-packed with wedding guests we gave up any hope for being waited on and went elsewhere. The noise level is high. Housekeeping rumbles through the hallways loudly and early. Maybe they have their act together in season ... but when your biggest compliment goes to the guys at Valet Parking, you know you have a hotel with a management and staff problem. It has the ingredients to be great. This place needs leadership and a LOT of staff training.
A very pretty space. Feels very luxurious. Clean, white decor. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, casual to romantic. Eat inside or outside on the bay. Great for kids too. Spa across the street. Golf cart service to the beach. Book very early for the Summer.
The Reed's is an expensive hotel about three blocks from the beach. We went there for a weekend getaway. In the late afternoon, we found ourselves next door to a wedding party. The staff was happy to move us a to a quieter part of the hotel. The staff was very accommodating. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the hotel is very centrally located near restaurants and shops. Though it is expensive, they deliver on what they say they are offering. We will go back.
Wow, what a place. Have stayed before, but this time was amazing. We were lucky enough to grab a suite for the weekend. Nicest room I have ever stayed in. View of the inlet, sunset in our face The sax room is the best bar in stone harbor, great drinks and s bar staff like no others. Dinner outside, really yummy appetizers, amazing entrees Thanks for an amazing stay. Will be back soon.
Overpriced, no ocean view, noisy. Nice to be where the shops are. Lots for children to do. Not my type of thing. I like to be on the ocean. Pretty town, well kept. They have a shuttle to take you to the beach , they provide you with beach badges.
Besides the fact that they were out of oysters the food was great. Not only were the scallops, lobster and Mac n Cheese tasteful, our server Darren provided an excellent experience. He was helpful and even gave us our drinks on the house for the oyster inconvenience. Was a great restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service.
This hotel is beautiful. The views from the bay are beautiful. This hotel charged close to $600 a night for basic room with a king bed we were in the Spa building. There were literally no instructions on how to reach the front desk and there is no "front desk" in the spa building so you have to walk across the street to get help. I pushed every button on that phone to reach the front desk, eventually just calling from my cell phone to the front desk. There is no clock in the room ... or alarm clock, no wifi instructions. Lets talk customer service a Holiday Inn probably has better customer service. It was one thing after another of shockingly poor customer service. The guy that drove us to the beach sat on the little buggy while we loaded our stuff onto the back and fiddled with the bungy cord. He didn’t move. He drove us 2 blocks to the beach, I handed him a $5 he then sat while we fiddled with the bungy cord to get our stuff off. We struggled to the beach with bags, coolers, kids’ toys etc and there were at least 4-5 guys sitting in lounge chairs, under umbrellas on their cell phones, They were polite but CLUELESS what customer service means. One guy gets up, the others sat - looking at their phones. NO ONE jumped up and said hey let me carry that for you when they saw basically our hands FULL with things. This went on for 3 days, no change, every single guy on duty behaved this way
Arrived at The Reeds just in time for the sunset at the Water Star Grille and it didn’t disappoint! Food and service were excellent but the addition of the spa is a definite plus. The spa is lovely and the massage by Amiga was just the best!! Highly recommend.
