The place is really pet friendly -- all staff were very kind to the dogs. The location is excellent. Although our room did not overlook the beach as shown in the online pictures, it was quiet at night and there is a nice daytime deck with lots of comfortable seating that does overlook the boardwalk. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom door was damaged and wouldn't completely close. The pool was, in my opinion, way too cold for swimming (end of August). In the words of a guest I overheard while walking past, it was "a f**ing ice bath." In the 3 days we stayed, the place was full and the weather was warm, but I never saw anyone in the pool, though some people sat on the edge with their feet in it. Parking is $20/day for a "reserved" spot, but if you go anywhere during the day, you might have to wait while they track down owners of cars that park in your space. This happened twice during the two days we parked there (the first night they didn't have any spots available). It was frustrating to spend valuable vacation time waiting around for our $20 parking space to open up. They give you a large, durable card for your dashboard, but nothing to put in your space when you leave it to show that it's reserved. I recommended numbered traffic cones, but they said their system "worked fine." I disagree. I will go back for the friendly staff, great location, cleanliness and pet friendliness, if they can fix the parking situation.
