Family Beach Vacation

My wife and kids and I has an excellent stay. Caroline was quick to help us when we needed it and the kids had a blast in the pool.

Overall Okay

Overall, the house was decent, but there were bugs all over the house including ants crawling all over the bathroom sink countertop, water bugs, and huge spiders. The sliding door in the living room & master bedroom were not able to be opened. Some of the towels smelled mildewy. There were several things that weren’t functioning properly in the house including a couple of the outlets and the hot tub not heating up. The pool was not filtering correctly resulting in a dirty pool and the pool light didn’t work. The house was not extremely dirty to the naked eye but not the cleanest. It was a beautiful view and we loved having the pool. The property manager responded promptly. The house did have some nice accommodations such as lawn chairs, pool noodles, beach umbrella, beach towels. There were just some inconvenient things that were very frustrating especially for the price that was paid.

Spring Break 2025

Our stay was very nice. The canal is beautiful. Pool and hot tub was wonderful. There is a small bug issue in the house. Seen them on the bar area in the kitchen, and the spare bathroom counter. Also no Bluetooth speaker for the pool area. That would have been nice to be able to Bluetooth to the speakers in that area.Communication with the host was very quick.Overall very much enjoyed our stay.

Great value family vacation!

You get a lot for your money here! There's tons of space to either all hang out together or have a little time to yourself. Living room couch and TV are more practical than comfortable, but that's not what we were there to do. The kitchen has everything you need to eat in as much (or little) as you want. Appreciated basic spices and other supplies were available as well as coffee / filters. Large, clean grill on the patio was great for a cookout. It's a great location - nice, quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle of the touristy area, but 20-30 minutes from multiple beaches and attractions and even closer to shops and restaurants. The garage was stocked with everything we needed to spend the day at home in the pool or playing on the beach. Managers were quick to respond to questions and issues. It's not the most updated or fancy; some minor repairs could go a long way (sticky sliding doors, some lights/fans not working), but for our family it was more than we expected at a great price. We definitely recommend this house and would stay again.

Beautiful house with great views. Pool and hot tub were great. The property manager was responsive to the only issue we had and worked to remedy the situation the same day. Only improvement is that the master bed could use a new mattress.

1st time in Florida!

Overall, the house and pool were good, with a beautiful view of the canal! The layout of the house was excellent with plenty of room for our family of 6. The pool area was probably the best featured area! I do feel the property is starting to show its age though and the pictures no longer give an accurate representation of the current house condition; for instance, there are only 3 chairs at the inside kitchen table and they’re sort of beat up-not sure where the 4th chair went, the carpet had some stains, there was only one oar for the 2 person kayak… but honestly, none of these things were deal breakers. It was in a nice location with a quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful home

Home was beautiful- loved waking up to the canal view every morning. We made great use of the hot tub every night, little to cool for the pool. The only problem we had was with the wifi- it was spotty in some of the bedrooms. Location was great for us- we were about 30-60 minutes away from everywhere we wanted to visit.

Paradise in Cape Coral

Fantastic home and environment with all the necessary amenities. My grandson’s enjoyed the pool area everyday. We had the very best time possible. Family Vacation June 2022

This property is beautiful and in a perfect location to see boaters, kayakers, and jumping fish along with beautiful sunrise/sunsets. The home is a little older, but overall is well decorated with bright colors which I liked. The washer and dryer worked well and was very convenient to have during our stay. The couch in the family room looked nice, but was disappointing since it was not very comfortable to us. The TV was too small for a room that size and the distance from the couch. This wasn't such a big deal since we enjoyed the pool just about everyday/ evening so were too tired for much tv. We also went to use the plastic cups for the pool area only to find they were all dirty. I had to hand wash every one of them. At the end of the day, the issue I had was finding a dead cockroach in the master bathroom the day we arrived. I just thought that the property was recently sprayed prior to our arrival. Two days later when I opened up the dishwasher there were 3-4 crawling around inside. My daughters and I were screaming as they were huge, and I've never seen a live cockroach in my life. My husband had to take care of them by flicking them out and killing them with his shoe as they didn't die by running the dishwasher on a hot cycle! We were not sure how they were getting in there, but my guess is somewhere around the plumbing. I sent a message to the property owner who apologized, but then dismissed the issue saying this can be expected(?) and followed it up with "Welcome to Southern Florida". She did offer to send someone out to spray but noted it could make it worse. I guess I should have been happy with that? I thought that was bold. I did not, and do not expect cockroaches to be part of the deal when I rent a vacation home. I've been to Florida dozens of times. I have family and friends that live in both the Cape Coral and Bonita Springs areas and never found a cockroach when I stayed with them. Despite all that, we enjoyed staying there, and decided we just wouldn't open the dishwasher. Note: we did break the pool skimmer but replaced it a better one.

Home was nice and clean. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of nearby restaurants and shopping. Property manager is very responsive. (I felt bad, she was in Europe and many hours ahead of us and I didn't realize, yet she still responded promptly)

Lovely home and manager was very responsive to our needs. However, the VRBO site listed 2 king beds and 1 queen in one place and 1 king and 2 queens in another. In reality there were 2 kings and a small double bed. Internet connection was not adequate for general use.( 45 mbps per second).

This wasn’t the paradise we expected

I will start on the only positive… The bed in master bedroom is very comfortable. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and we were pretty disappointed from the moment we walked into the home. There is a pretty high cleaning fee for this property and we didn’t find it to be very clean. As soon we walked through the door there were sticky spots all over the house. There were dead bugs all in the master tub and on the towels laid out. Pretty certain the bed linens were still from the previous renters. There was white stuff on the dark pleather coach. Then to find that the garage wasn’t available to be used was a huge turn off. 5 minutes after arriving the door bell rang and I greeted the nosey neighbor scoping out who was staying. While she was nice we didn’t want to be bothered. Our biggest issue of our stay was the cleanliness of the pool. Let me stress we specifically rented this home based on the outside pictures. Aside from the missing grout there was quite a bit of algae growth. There wasn’t enough water for it to even filter properly, so the bugs were constant. Pretty certain the pool company didn’t show on Friday like instructed. There were no lounge chairs by the dock or in the pool area like pictured. Now for the minor issues… Day 2 we found there were no “extras” for the beach. No chairs or umbrella. There were a couple knee boards, fishing poles, 1 kayak and pool floats that were filthy, broken or barely inflated. While this is our first time using VRBO we’ve come to FL on a regular basis and stayed in rentals through another company. We’ve never experienced a lack of “extras” like this. I was also greeted by a huge cockroach (FL calls them palmetto bugs). Day 3 we thought there was a lack of towels and come to find out they were still in the laundry. Again, for the cleaning fee paid they should’ve been washed, folded and put away. Other bothersome issues: 1. There is an electricity fee that was paid but it’s posted to keep the thermostat at 78°. 2. Paper products barely got us through the week. Be prepared to purchase paper towel and toilet paper 3. The home needs some TLC. The master bathroom has some rotting baseboards and door insulation coming out. The fridge has a huge rust spot on the front. The front trees need to be trimmed as they covering the walk way and at 5 ft 2in I shouldn’t have to bend down to go underneath to get to the front door. 4. The couch is terribly uncomfortable and the tv is really small.
