This was my first trip to Ptown and going thru the hundreds of places to stay, I felt that I found the best bang for my buck. I'm used to traveling to Key West once or twice a year so I know not to stay too close to everything...yet not too far away. BLGH was right off the main strip with easy access to everything Ptown had to offer in dining, bars, nightlife and if you were up early enough, a great place to visit the dunes. (I was not up early enough, but i know they're there...LOL) The management and staff were easy to talk to and very accomodating at answering any questions you may have. A prompt tour of everything available at the guesthouse was given including times for when things were available. Although in terms of amenities there wasn't much, the gardens , hot tub, and lookout points were beautiful. I highly recommend this place especially for first timers to Ptown. I will definitey be back. Oh but one quick note, the map that google gives you to find the place is way off point. I took the Fast Ferry provided by Boston Harbour Cruises and docked at the wharf in cental Ptown. From the wharf, simply reach Commercial Avenue, make a left (west) and head about 6 blocks. The sign is kinda hidden, but look for Winthrop...Make a right and BLGH will be just ahead a bit on the left.

The staff was incredibly rude and cold. They did not greet us kindly, did not show us around the property. They were all impatient, especially when I accidentally left my hat on the roof and they acted like it was a huge inconvenience for them to go get it from the "back". Also, there was an especially creepy kid who apparently "lived" there and was lurking around the place a few times that we saw. Would not stay there ever again.

Mark & Keith clearly prioritize beauty, accommodations, & care of their guests. Beautifully appointed rooms. The healthy breakfasts included freshly baked breads & truly delicious scones, fruits, yogurts. I would highly recommend staying here.

The check-in person was nice and friendly. The kitchen / eating area for breakfast was warm and friendly. The common areas were also warm and friendly. There is an outside hot tub. Our room was beautiful. The mattress was older and we both had backaches the next day. The grapefruit pump soap and hair products were fantastic smelling ! There is a tv and a small frig. Breakfast was breads, cereals, yogurt, some fruit. If they had cream cheese or peanut butter for the breads it would have been perfect. Coffee / Tea / Hot Chocolate were wonderful. Less than a block from Commercial Street in a great location.

Simply superb in every way. Definitely recommend. Great location. Beautiful property!

The location is picture-perfect with a beautiful roof top deck with panoramic views of the harbor and the town. The rooms are not huge, but decently sized and very clean and well-decorated. The staff offered a continental breakfast with delicious handmade scones and fruit and cereal. The inn is a half block from the main drag, Commercial Street. The wi-fi is a bit weak in signal though.

Had the best first time visit with my girlfriend . Perfect location the hosts were very nice will be back.

The hotel and the staff were wonderful!! The breakfast was great and the hotel is a short walking distance to everywhere on Commeerce street.

The place was nice but the staff left a bit to be desired. I felt a bit like an intrusion on his time and he really didnt speak to us much. But the location and breakfast and room were nice.

Great spot...near town (steps away) kitchen...very very clean house/rooms....sun deck on top of 3rd floor overlooks the town and the water.

The Beaconlight Guest House was a delight! The Innkeepers were friendly when appropriate - and hands off when not. We've stayed at quite a few inns in Provincetown and were very happy with our stay.

Location was great. Room was very small but cute and very clean. The breakfasts were unimpressive- some granola and fat free yogurts, packaged granola bars, tea, coffee, OJ (not fresh squeezed). Better to skip it and pay for something good at Cafe Heaven (which has amazing breakfast and is only a short walk from the hotel). Hot tub on patio was small but clean. Unfortunately, the hosts are either shy or unfriendly or a little neurotic (hard to tell which is the most accurate)... they did not make us feel welcome. We spent a few hours on a rainy day sitting at the table in the kitchen and felt like we were in the way or unwanted... also, the main sitting room is really not set up for comfort. We felt like we were not supposed to be sitting in it. I will not be returning to this B&B. For that kind of money I want to feel comfortable and welcomed.

We only stopped in Provincetown for 1 night just to do some general sightseeing. The Beaconlight Guest House was w/in a very short walking distance of all the shops, bars, and restaurants in Provincetown so the location can't be beat. Our room, which included a private bathroom, was a bit small and a bit outdated (small TV w/ a VCR, no internet connection), but overall was comfortable. The proprietors and staff answered all our questions and demonstrated a committment to customer service.

the room reserved 3 mounth before was different, the room offered was without bathroom and very small (less then 10 sq. m. After paying 300,00 USD more, we have had a good room. This was no correct. In any case, we will never come back there. Ptown is fantastic. This accomodation... no. Sorry.

The hotel was super cute and in a great location. Our room was on the small-size, but very nice and clean. We enjoyed multiple deck spaces as well as the homemade croissants in the morning!

My partner and I needed a quick getaway. Literally the best place we have ever stayed in Provincetown. The Beaconlight staff were so cordial and inviting and we enjoyed the "personal touch" of owner/operators.

The Beaconlight was very clean and in a great location. [...] was very friendly and helpful, but [...] less so. He just seemed a little crabby and somewhat indifferent to our presence there. The cleaning/breakfast staff were very nice. The breakfast included a lot of variety and some tasty pastries. We didn't take advantage of the upper decks, but the back patio was really nice for breakfast. The room was quite small, but had everything we needed. We are not big TV watchers and we didn't plan to spend much time in the room anyhow, so no big deal. I would recommend this place and stay there again if I got another reduced rate. [...]

This is the first review I have ever written, because normally I do not have anything to add to past reviews. Having stayed at the Beaconlight before with the former owners I was looking forward to another great stay. We pulled up to the Beaconlight at 1:30 p.m. to see if we could check in. I walked up to the door and introduced myself and said "I am here to check in." The reply from the English guy who I later learned was one of the new owners was, and I quote "Not until after 3 you're not." I travel around 100 days a year for business/pleasure and never have I been greeted so rudely. It is normally welcome to xxxx and I am sorry but your room will not be available until xxx. This kind of greeting is unacceptable from an employee much less an owner and is inexcusable even if he was having a bad day over the Fourth of July weekend. He was not anymore friendly when I woke up early to get some ice. The other owner was pleasant and helpful when I checked in and the rest of the stay was without incident. However, the tone was set upon check in. I have stayed at other establishments in Provincetown and have never had this type of experience. I suggest that you take your business elsewhere as I will be doing.

I loved the three decks on three levels, and the breakfast was excellent. Great service too. I definitely plan to stay there again next time I'm in P-town.

The one thing that sticks out the most is if you are going to the beach they supply the towels. I never heard of that before and was pleasently surprised. Also the room that I stayed in was much bigger than I expected. Had a very good time and would love to go back. The family style kitchen was fun. The owners, [...] were wonderful.
