I stayed here overnight as I had to attend a sports' event in Fribourg the next day. The hotel is well-located, a 10-minute walk from the town center. I had booked a junior suite. The room, was clean and comfortable, with nice bedding. The suite itself wasn't that spacious. It had a small area with a couple armchairs and a coffee table, but it was a little tight for a suite. The bathroom was modern, with a spacious walk-in shower. Having booked a junior suite, I was expecting a bathtub too and was disappointed to see that there wasn't one. The hotel did not have a restaurant, which was a further disappointment. The buffet breakfast was nice, with a good choice of fresh breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses and cereals. It even had fresh meringues with Gruyère double cream! However, I would have loved seeing a few healthy options, like sugar free cereals and some nuts and seeds. Altogether, the hotel served its purpose and was very reasonably priced, but lacked charm and warmth.

Nice rooms, very charming and clean. Great breakfast. The hotel is very close to city center and the university of Fribourg. Having parking places helped a lot because everything is busy around the area .

We just stayed one night on the way to France, but this is a very good Hotel alternative in a nice town 😀👍🏻 Fresh rooms and very nice and positive staff👍🏻 Free parking and just a few minutes walk into the center of Fribourg

This hotel is very nice especially when you get a room in front of the fortifications. The view is outstanding. The hotel is very well located if you intend to go to the Forum Fribourg. It is 1 minute walk from the bus stop that goes directly there (only 3 stops). The same bus goes to the station, making this hotel a very good choice even for people who what to visit the city. The staff is friendly and ready to help, just ask! Room are quite small.

We walked from the train station, though there is a close bus stop. There is a scenic old city wall next to the hotel. We were sight-seeing so we enjoyed the nearby museums, the scenic old city, nearby restaurants and having access to the front desk staff. The desk staff helped us get an appointment with a small museum.

This hotel is located on the edge of the city of Fribourg, about a $15 taxi ride form the main station. It is set into the hillside and faces the picturesque ramparts of the old town. Reception is small but the staff were pleasant and helpful. They subsequently provided me with help dealing with a business problem and opened up the breakfast room to give me coffee to ease the process! The hotel is decorated in a traditional style that adds to its charm - lots of red, beige and tassels. My room was set into the hillside and was on two levels - the lower included the entrance and bathroom and then up a few steps was the main bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and was immaculate. There was a desk with TV, a safe, and coffee maker. The window opened onto a wall of ivy about three feet away - this was fine for me, but some may find it claustrophobic. The weather was hot and I could not find any air conditioning. The room contained a floor fan, and together with an open window this kept the temperature moderate. The bathroom was small but with a good shower and amenities. Breakfast is served in the ground floor breakfast room. My first day the place was completely filled with a party of Japanese tourists, which made it difficult to find anywhere to sit and to get close to the buffet!. Some visitors chose to wait it out in an adjoining comfortable lounge. The breakfast itself was relatively basic but good. The only hot dish was eggs that you boiled yourself, but there was a good variety of cheeses, bread, cereals etc. The second day I was almost alone at breakfast. The only real downside for me was that there is no other meal service. You must find a nearby restaurant for dinner. To be honest I was too tired the first night and just went to bed. The second day I explored the town and ate there. The hotel is not far from the city center but I would say that it is not a short walk, and I resorted to taxis. There is a nice walk across from the hotel. The path takes you down to the river with spectacular views of the city. A nice touch was a number of e-mails from the hotel prior to arrival, upon arrival and after deprature. All were personal asking if they could provide any additional help. Overal, a nice property with old World style, better visited if you have a car.

I have been in this hotel for two nights on a business trip. It is nice, clean and cozy. They have very simple and basic breakfast. Unfortunately there is no room food service. The key is the old style key with a huge key ring trinket attached to it. Nice and quiet stay.

Stayed here for a weekend and was delighted about this place. Clean and nicely decorated rooms and a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. We had requested a quiet room and this is exactly what we got. We were able to sleep with windows open and did not hear anything from other guests. Bus Nr. 1 drops you only a short stroll away from the hotel. But you can also easily walk from the city center. Make sure you visit the old town down by the river which displays a very medieval charm. If you are a foodie, you should visit the restaurant "Des Trois Tours" in Bourguillon - only a short ride from the city center. Beware of the prices though! But it's worth it...

This was my first time in Switzerland and really enjoyed the coziness, central location in Friburg and of course the Gruyere at breakfast. Nice bed for a good night sleep. Stylish bathroom. Vending machine in the lobby.

This is a good, clean hotel. The location is about 15 minutes walk to the main pedestrian area and the top of the old town. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. One of the best hotels we stayed in on our recent trip to Switzerland.
