My bag with passport and computer was stolen at the driveway of the hotel. There was no security.

The property is very well managed. You would often see the manager about the hotel and he always greeted you. Of the 3 and 4 star properties I've stayed at in Europe, this room may well be the largest. It has a counter the full width of the room. There is a large balcony with table and chairs that extends the full length of the room. A small fridge was in the closet. The property has a pleasant courtyard where you can sit and have a drink or the petit breakfast in the morning. Beach and shops are a short walk away and there is a little park right in front of the hotel. Very good value.

I am writing this because we had an amazing experience, and I'd like both to thank the hotel staff and to encourage you to stay here-- I really hope someone will have the same wonderful experience that we had. ROOM DETAILS- The room was awesome (room #51, I think). We were thrilled. When we walked through the anteroom into the bedroom and pulled the drapes, we were pleasantly surprised to see floor to ceiling windows with double sliding doors, a HUGE terrasse/balcony with a table and chairs for 4, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. It was such a beautiful setting that after dinner, we returned to the hotel, grabbed a couple bottles of wine from the restaurant and spent the evening sitting in our own private little paradise. It was so picturesque, even after sunset, with the tiny lights dotting the distant hills and spotlights illuminating the palms in the garden below. The sounds from the water running in the fountain in the courtyard and the quiet but lively din from the hotel restaurant just made it a perfect setting. LOCATION - Booked the hotel last minute (from the bus, on our way from the airport). The bus stop for the Ligne Azur 850, by the way, is about 3 blocks from the hotel. Very convenient. Very easy to find. - The location was perfect for us. It was a 2-3 minute walk to the beach where all the action is. When we felt like we'd had enough of the crowd, we walked 2-3 minutes back to the hotel. it was so peaceful that we slept with the sliding glass doors both open and the sheers billowing in the breeze to give us privacy. It felt like we were sleeping on the terrasse. TO CONSIDER - Our room was way nicer and bigger than the pictures represent or the price would indicate. It's not the Peninsula, but it is very, very nice. Spotless room, modern finishes, very charming, great staff. I should also add that they helped us a ton with finding our luggage-- the airline lost it, and we were struggling with jet lag and the language barrier. The only thing I can think of that was "missing" I suppose, was conditioner (apres shampoo) in the bathroom.
