We stayed for three nights in this hotel after a road trip weekend. Staff was really friendly when we checked in and I was overwhelmed by the room. It was very spacious, modern and clean. The balcony was also very great. My personal highlight was the big and super comfortable bed! Haven't slept that well in a while and the sheets smelled really nice. The bathroom was also very great and I liked that there was enough space around the sink for make up etc. We had ordered roomservice three times and I personally recommend their club sandwich, the pasta however tasted a bit generic. But prices were more than reasonable and portions were big. Service was also very quick. It's also conveniently located and there are lots of harbour restaurants and beach clubs near by. Can definitely recommend this place and would like to stay again.
This is our 8th year staying at the Pullman Cannes Mandelieu. It's a really great place to relax, staff are really friendly. Food is excellent and we really like that they have introduced the blue lemon beach bar and restaurant, much needed. Another great stay and we will be back next year. Definitely worth a visit and good value for money
We flew into Nice airport and got the train/bus to the hotel, it's a bit long winded this way but we knew a taxi would be expensive - hiring a car would probably be your best option as you are a bit out of the centre of Cannes. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived for the 3pm check in but it didn't take too long. We were hugely impressed by our room, they're even better and bigger than the pictures online. We had an amazing view of part of the sea from our generous balcony (even though we had a "golf view" room so no complaints there!), the bed was huge and extremely comfy, and the bathroom had everything we needed and more. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel as we thought 25 euro was overpriced and simply bought pastries from the supermarket (15/20 min walk from hotel) each morning. The only meal we had here was room service. The menu for room service has a good selection and is fairly reasonably priced. It came in good time and was beautifully presented. The food was good but nothing amazing. We preferred to dine out at local restaurants instead (Le Robinson was a favourite) The best bit of the hotel by far is the beach area. The beach claims to be private however I'm not sure how private it actually was but we always managed to find space on the beach. The beach is very clean and free from litter and the sea is beautifully clear and perfect for a swim. Beach towels are supplied (just ask by the pool) however sun beds come at a cost - from 20 euro for hotel guests which personally I believe should be included considering the price of the hotel - at least the sand was comfy! The pool also looked great however we didn't use this as we preferred to swim in the sea. We visited the casino on one night which was good fun. It did have a bit of a gala bingo feel to it as there was lots of old people just sat at machines. Less machines would improve the atmosphere. We visited Monte Carlo and Cannes city centre during our stay, both of which a train ride from Mendeleev. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back in the future. I'm happy to say I am glad we did not stay in Cannes itself as the Pullman is situated in a great location with great facilities.
Licated a 20min €25/30 euro yaxi ride out of cannes along the coast. Its a 5 minute walk to the nearest village along a pleasant marina edge where restraunts start. A very good selection of local restraunts across the price points. POOL AND BEACH SIDE CHAIRS COME WITH A CHARGE €25 each per day for a basic lounger €75 each for a slightly more luxurious lounger I find this hard to digest and believe the hotel is the only winner. Casino on site for those who wish to gamble, its not a luxury affair but you will still need to present passport. The rooms are bright and airy, we stayed on the 3rd floor. Big bathroom Shower leaked but worked fine A real nasty floor throughout the room and batbroom, makes me feel like its harbouring germs. Good facilities and toiletries along with towels etc. You need to put the sign out to request a room clean. Free safe Plenty of hanging space Free unlimited wifi Hotel items are expensive but generally this whole reason is A solid 4 start hotel
I stayed there for one night during a workshop in June. Check in was fine and the room was good; a lovely view and an excellent bed. The room was spacious but nothing extraordinary. The bathroom could need some refurbishment. No Nespresso coffee facilities that I would expect in this kind of hotel. I couldn't find a safe neither. The poolside was busy - so we went on the public beach. The pool is ok but nothing fancy - should also be renovated soon. In general I found the hotel nothing special / the nicest part was the restaurant which is modern / seems to be renovated. We had breakfast there; service was average. I had to wait a long time for my cappuccino; there were many groups which made it noisy and a bit of a mess. I have travelled extensively for work and private - this is a buisness hotel which is lacking charm and needs renovation. It benefits of nice views, good location, good check in and check out and large rooms with excellent beds.
Very easy to find the hotel, just outside of Cannes but perfect for us as it is a beachfront hotel. Arrived by car and met by a valet service, charge of 15 Euro per night. Using the valet service our luggage was swiftly taken to our room and the car was parked securely. Check in was easy, good description of the hotel facilities. Although the receptionist took about 4 or 5 calls during the check in process we were still served well. The room was a Superior King with terrace and seaview. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was immaculately clean and the shower was lovely. The view of the sea was breathtakingly gorgeous, the French riviera is just so lovely. Use of a sunbed costs 15 Euro's per day, or 20 Euro's if you want the luxury bed with very deep and super comfy cushioning. We went for the 20 Euro beds, in for a penny in for a Euro as they say! We were seconds from the beach and sea, and they have a snacks and drink service, just wave to catch the attention of the waiters. We had dinner in the main restaurant, the waitress was really helpful and made some excellent recommendations from the menu. As my wife wasn't sure what to drink the waitress asked what her favourite ingredients were and then got the bar staff to make a bespoke cocktail. The best cocktail my wife has ever had, praise indeed! I had the Lobster pasta dish, and my wife had the fillet steak, both were cooked well and very tasty. I thought it was a 4.5 rating, better than a 4 but not good enough for a 5 because paying 300 Euro's a night for a room we would have expected free parking and a free sunbed. These are the only reasons I didn't give a 5 star rating. A lovely hotel, with some very friendly and helpful staff, but the extra charges put me off.
What you would expect from a known place....good service..large room...allows for protected parking, which for our purpose was an issue. Nothing special yet perfectly adequate. A good plan B should you arrive without planning.
A solidly four star establishment. Refurbed fairly recently. Even if you have the worst positioned room (such as 205) its a relaxing and comfortable stay. Only bugbear is being charged extra for a lounger.... A relaxing stay. Will return!
nice location on the coast and by La Napoule marina. easy walking to the little town with lots of eateries (and a station but trains are a little infrequent and you have to change to get to Nice. Direct to canne is ok). We would recommend going out to eat as the hotel restaurant lacked in character and so much of that is just down the road. we had a snack in the bar one evening as we were late back but it was luke warm. Rooms are fine, a little stark - everything is white, wall, floors etc. Bathroom had a separate shower and bath so well appointed. reception staff very helpful and speak english fluently. they charge for sun beds 15 euro a day for hotel guests.
Have stayed here many times... It's a welcome escape from the madness of the Cannes Film Festival, Midem and other such events. Staff good and welcoming and shuttle service to the Palais is useful albeit they need to have a return around 10 pm. Good choice.
