What a wonderful 2 nights my friend and I had at your hotel! The service was the friendliest we had in Cannes. The room was perfect and the little balcony delightful to sit out on in the evening. The continental breakfast was just what we needed, lovely baguette, pastries etc. and freshly ground coffee from the machine. Our flight home wasn't until the evening but we were able to leave our bags in the hotel whilst we enjoyed a final day at the beach and the bus back to the airport left from just outside the train station which is right opposite the hotel. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and our compliments to all your staff! I really hope we can come back in the future! We booked through British Airways holiday finder, would highly recommend to all
Giving this one 5 stars as I can't punish a hotel for not being what it is not. So what is it. A great boutique hotel. Charming and nice smelling. Great staff who are helpful in every way and nice touches like allowing us to park in front and having orange juice for free in the lobby! Very good rooms with space and even had a little balcony with fake lawn :). Great location literally across from train station, 5 minute walk to shopping, boardwalk/beach, and movie area. Wonderful shower with occitane en provence soaps and shampoos which felt great. Only negatives, Ok 1.5 if honest. two single beds put together which is not really infrequent in France anywhere and also right next to train/bus station which is not for noise which hotel has soundproofing but rather ambience. Trade off for being able to walk to your hotel so easily from train station.
My husband and I stayed here for our 3 night city break to Cannes. This hotel was excellent in every way. The location is great as it is directly opposite the train and bus station so very easy to get to from Nice airport. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Our room was much better than we had expected. It was a lovely size and immaculate with a nice veranda to sit out on in the evenings and watch the world go by. The breakfast room was clean and airy and the food selection was very ample. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Cannes and my husband and I will definitely book this hotel again on our next trip.
art hotel, good price, good location (7 mins from the beach, near the train station), very nice breakfast. Only negative point: one of the ebike we rented was broken. Very good value for money. Strongly suggested
Overall I enjoyed my stay. Of course there was a language barrier, so there was some miscommunication which sometimes complicated things or prolonged them. I thought the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and very pretty. I mostly enjoyed the private balcony, that was my favorite part.
I enjoyed my stay, it is a central Cannes hotel, and the staff are very helpful and the hotel is modern and welcoming. This hotel is a home from home. I would visit again next time I am in the South of France.
My wife and I stayed four nights at the Colette Hotel over Easter as it was recommended by EasyJet Holidays. The hotel is rated as a 4 star, but in reality it is a 3 star hotel; how it has a 4 star rating I cannot understand. It appears that the hotel has had a recent makeover but it has been done on a very low-budget because in reality the hotel is old and requires a major investment to modernise it. Our room faced a courtyard and you could hear people in the opposite building talking loudly as sound becomes amplified in such an enclosed space. From the breakfast room there is a small outside garden area in this courtyard which guests were using to smoke, and as our room was on the first floor all the cigarette smoke wafted up into our bedroom, not pleasant when you are trying to sleep. On our first night the air con didn’t work, we complained and it was repaired. The bedroom had no cupboards to put clothes in, only a few open shelves. In the corridors outside our room there was unpleasant disinfectant type of smell being pumped out, one felt the hotel were doing this to camouflage the damp and musty smell of this old building. The breakfast is very average, there is an automated coffee, tea and hot chocolate machine which does not produce a decent cup of coffee, very disappointing considering you are in Cannes. The hotel is situated opposite Cannes Railway Station which is not in the best part of Cannes in an area that is rather seedy, however you can reach the beachfront within a 10 minute walk. The reason I am giving this hotel a two star is because of the attitude of the management which I have found quite outrageous and appalling! I received in email on the day I left claiming that we had taken a Kinder bueno from the minibar. I emailed back and said we had not taken it, which was the honest truth. They told me they will look into it and get back to us, they never did. Instead my credit card was charged for this item. Outrageous behaviour, although the cost was small, the hotel obviously thought I was lying and it made me feel like I was a thief particularly as I’ve never been called a thief in my life before. This is not the behaviour I would have expected from a hotel claiming to be 4 Star !! I would not recommend this hotel and you should avoid staying there, the management are dishonest and obviously employ chambermaids who take items from the minibar and then claim clients have taken them.
Arrived from a flight into Nice, caught the train to Cannes and right outside the station is this small hotel. The reception staff are exceptional as many other have stated, the rooms are nice, small but clean. We stayed for 4 nights and had no issues!
Me and my partner stayed for 5 nights on a last minute BA Holiday Package (22nd-27th April). The hotels location is excellent. Directly opposite the train station and extremely close to the centre of all the shopping areas and the beach front. Being near the train station makes this an excellent location for day trips. We visited Nice and Monaco. The hotels rooms a fairly small however quirky but generally well equipped. The bathrooms have a number of L'Occitane products which was a nice touch (hand creams, soaps body wash etc) I didn't sample the breakfast (15pp). You are in France and there are so many boulangerie around every corner and a particularly good one on the corner near the hotel. My partner and I had a full breakfast for 10 euros total (2 coffee, 2 croque Jambon and 2 pain au raisin) all delicious. There are no tea and coffee making facilities, and agree with other reviewers the soundproofing is poor. The sound proofing didn't affect me but I can see how it would both others. All of the staff were polite and the service was great. They would try to accommodate any request. All in all this boutique hotel is great with the location and service being excellent. I would stay again if visiting Cannes.
Stayed 3 nights 27-30 April. Hotel has a great location, just opposite the train station and within a short stroll to numerous restaurants. The beach and old town are within 10 minute walk, perfect. The good points about the hotel; Comfortable bed with good quality bed linen Good shower Friendly and helpful staff Now the not so good; Small rooms. We refused the first room offered, so small the bed was wedged against the wall on one side. Poor sound proofing. You really can hear all surrounding rooms. Poor and tired decor Damp smell in room No tea and coffee in room. Water charged at 3 Euro per small bottle Breakfast. We refused to pay 15 Euro per person for a buffet continental breakfast. Not sure how this hotel justifes or deserves a 4 star rating. Trying to be a boutique hotel by having a couple of funky chairs in reception and a couple of pics on the walls. However, the location is great. There are many good restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to all attractions. Not sure we would choose to stay here again, but if renovated that would be different.
