My room was fine but not exceptional - although the bed was excellent. The disappointment was the service downstairs. At breakfast when ordering eggs I was instructed to get my own toast from the buffet, the result being that one of the items will be cold when the other arrives. The coffee served at breakfast is also terrible. For EUR45 per head I expect a handmade coffee not a jug of filter dumped on the table. Service in the bar was also slow an inattentive. I will not be staying here again - back to the Carlton for me!
This is a grand hotel inside, although the exterior needs to be repainted and smartened up. We were at the hotel for a conference, which was very well handled by the hotel. The conference facilities were good and the catering excellent. The accomodation was very good too, we were lucky to get a upgrade to a sea view room which was very nice. The room was large with a good bathroom and shower. The main reason for not giving it 5 stars was the price of food and drink in the hotel. The room rate itself was not bad, but the price for breakfast and any drinks was very high, even for a top quality hotel. Otherwise everything was very good.
well situated, this hotel is the 5 stars by excellence; it offers to the guests well being and comfort; the staff is friendly, discrete and very professional; the facility is very clean and the bedrooms are comfortable and well furbish. the atmosphere is relaxing and you feel like a movie star;
Well, maybe not like a movie star, but pretty darn nice. We stayed for seven nights at Le Majestic: first for a three-day meeting and then as a base to tour around Provence. The hotel is beautiful and the staff wonderfully friendly. Those at the reception and concierge desks were eager to answer all sorts of questions (even though we are hardly among the jetsetters who park their Lamborghinis out front). Where should we eat tonight? Can you arrange for a taxi? How do we get to the museums? Every question was answered with a smile and as if we had presented the most interesting query in the hotel's history. Our room was spacious with side-by-side floor to ceiling closets and large windows that open to a French balcony. It was delightful sit with the windows open and read with a lovely afternoon breeze freshening the room. The “partial ocean view” description was mostly hyperbole, although we could see a sliver of blue Mediterranean. Dinner at the hotel was classic European – lasting for hours allowing us to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Lots of local restaurants were nearby (both fancy and modest). The Cannes train station is also only a few blocks away. Convenient for our arrival from Paris and then for day trips to Nice, Antibes, Monaco, and Ventimiglia (a little town just across the border in Italy).
The stay at this hotel was amazing, we had champagne breakfast every morning, it has a small pool but it sufficient for a short time. The beach part that's belongs to the hotel was unfortunately closed so we had to use another part but the hotel provided a free transfer. The room was very large and modern with great views overlooking the sea. Overall the hotel is very nice we got it at a reasonable price for the type of hotel! We would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is very well run. The staff are superb, polite and friendly and also willing to help. Beds so comfy. Nice atmosphere for 5 star. Location is very good, the spa is lovely, the pool is nice but a bit small to lounge. Would highly recommend.
I was worried to be disappointed by this famous hotel and service...everything was perfect! Special mention for the concierges, always available and ready to help you, always with a solution for your needs!
My favorite hotel in Cannes and obviously amazing location opposite Palais de Festival. Their pool bar offer the best but also the most expensive club sandwich in Europe! Important to secure terrasse and seaview to get the best possible experience.
Stayed for a long weekend in this lovely hotel. Location was perfect and within walking distance of many bars/restaurants/ marinas etc. All staff and I mean everyone was so polite and helpful. The bar was very good and offered a large selection of drinks. The pool area is small so I wouldn't choose this hotel if I wanted to laze around the pool all day, and the beach restaurant was closed for refurb, so if you are looking for a sun bed, perhaps look elsewhere. Could not fault the food in Fouquets, they even had a trio playing. Will definitely return.
I booked this hotel for my husband’s birthday and cannot recommend enough. The service was impeccable and all of the hotel staff were so accommodating with all of our requests. They allowed us early check-in, late check-out, gave us a room upgrade and even sent a surprise birthday cake - made our stay so memorable and cannot thank the staff enough, especially Marion and Paul on the front desk!
