The Grand Hyatt Martinez in Cannes France is one of the most beautiful and luxurious properties in the Hyatt inventory. Located in a tropical setting just steps away from the beach front boardwalk along the Croisette with breath taking views of the Bay of Cannes. Across from the hotel the shore is lined with bars and cafe's some with nightly entertainment. Many fine restaurants and all the A to Z luxury brand boutiques are within walking distance of the hotel. The Martinez hotel has many newly renovated guest rooms with all the plush amenities and comforts. The Buffet breakfast is simply stellar, providing a wide variety of fresh culinary favorites in a stimulating but relaxing environment. The staff is accommodating and professional, they greet you, welcome you and attend to your needs. Make your reservations soon as I understand the hotel will be closed this winter for further renovations, starting November through March 2018. Try It, You'll Like It!
Hotel is in a very good condition. Private hotel beach is available in the hotel premises. Amazing location 4 mins walk from the famous Carlton Hotel. Very good hotel but the guest rooms and guest bathrooms must be renovated. They are very classic and old.
After walking for more than an hour on the beautiful La Croisette we ended up having breakfast in the welcoming Hotel Martinez.Extremely kind service and a really nice experience which will definitely be repeated!!Maybe the most friendly service to families and children we met in Cannes.
The hotel is very nice, good service pleasant staff.excellent breakfast and very friendly.should have more security at doors as any one can just walk in and go around.i would definitely go back again👍
Our stay at The Hotel Martinez lived up to our expectations. The staff was especially attentive and our interaction with them was exceptional. Everyone remembered our names, and the managers went out of their way to greet us, make sure our stay was satisfactory, and they assist us with anything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel!
My girlfriend and I spent a night there on the 27th of July on our way to St Tropez. We selected this hotel based on the reviews on TripAdvisor which were overwhelmingly positive. Unfortunately the hotel stay was very disappointing as the whole structure is very old and tired - this is the first impression you get when you walk into the lobby. The room we were given was also fairly basic and small. The breakfast and pool area also feel very 60s but not in a romantic/cool way. The gym area is also very basic and the spa is not up to the type hotel/service we expected to receive. My girlfriend was charged EUR 240 for a manicure and pedicure which was totally outrageous (we live in London which is an expensive town and even in the best saloons you could get it for half the price). Also you need to pay extra (euro 50 or more) to use the hotel beach. Staff is not terribly nice or helpful either. Honestly speaking, for close to Euro 900 (that was the total cost we paid at check out) for one night I'm sure one can do much better in Cannes or perhaps somewhere else nearby. Shame as the location is pretty good.
Booked to stay here for 3 nights - 1st night over 3,000E for 2 interconnecting rooms. Not as photographed on the website. I can't see how the rooms are classed as 5* hotel. In unrenovated sea view and they feel very dirty with carpet ingrained with dirt, peeling wallpaper and general grubbiness. Then tried to book 2 beds on the beach for the next day - but first 5 rows are full. So, as a hotel guest you can pay to sit at the back of the beach! Possibly the most disappointing hotel I've stayed at to date as such poor value for money.
Although this was my third or fourth stay at the hotel I was a bit disappointed this time .Everything was perfect except for the lady at the Z plage who moved my mum from the table after sitting for over 10 minutes saying it was reserved although there was no sign on the table..I was standing near her talking to somebody ...she made a 80 year old lady move from her table alone!!!!!!!!!!! When I saw her she kept saying it was reserved and I didn't see you and she was extremely rude...when I spoke to the deputy manager she was appalled at first then came back to me saying it was reserved to a princess!!!!!!??!!!!!!!!?????!!! A very unprofessional unacceptable way of treating guests........I felt humiliated and very bad treated ....Really very very disappointed .
Quite a surprise this hotel was. A friend of mine who stayed there in 2004 recommended it and it was outstanding. The location, the building, the great customer service and the price. This hotel made my time in Cannes 100% more enjoyable.
Staying at the Martinez was our final destination on our week in Europe. And after a week of lots of sight seeing and walking, it did not disappoint. It was a great place to relax and do a whole lot of nothing. We were upgraded to one of the newly remodeled rooms and I was VERY grateful for that. The AC wasn't at 100%, and the room was a little on the small side, but other than that, we loved it. The hallway did have a strong plaster smell but that's to be expected. It's right across from the beach and the pool was nice and relaxing as well. Not too many kiddos (it was my boyfriend and I) We noticed signs literally telling people to watch their kids. Apparently this is a problem. And we saw evidence as a kid fell as their parents were more interested in taking selfies. The hotel we were at in Venice had family & adult pools but still, overall, this was nice and made for a nice ending to our trip.
