This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location on La Croisette. The shared areas are fabulous and the hotel cries out old world glamour and charm. The room was spacious but rather dated and so a slight disappointment in that respect but the rest of the hotel made up for this. Definitely less snooty than a rather more well known hotel on La Croisette. Staff were attentive and impeccably well mannered
When I travel to Cannes this hotel is my location of Preference. Perfectly located, nice surroundings, excellent Food, very friendly and helpful team. The hotel deserves definitively the outstanding Reputation it already has.
Great hotel in a great location. We stayed at this hotel only for two nights. We were on renovated floor, very light and everything was convenient. Our room faced inside and so it was very quiet. Hotel has nice beach, for hotel guests if you are not staying on first line - 19 euros per day. Towels, umbrellas included. Great service at the beach. You can also purchase your ticket for half day 13 euros. Breakfast had nice selection of foods, you can order eggs right at the spot In the evening we enjoyed live music at the bar of the hotel.
Extremely disappointed after our stay at an iconic hotel that is outdated and living on its past glory but charging today's prices. Our room was called a Grand room, I can only think the reason being the price as there was nothing else it could relate too, wanted it too be so good but alas it was not too be.
A lovely old hotel, beautiful features. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choice. The bedroom wall paper was stained which detracts from the overall impression. You had to pay to use the beach even if you were a hotel guest, and from July you have to pay to use a sun lounger around the pool! Not cheap at all. Otherwise a lovely weekend trip.
One of the best located 5* hotel in Cannes - right on the famous la Croisette, just few hundred meters from Palais de Festival. The architecture is inspired by art-deco and rooms are decorated in the same style. The service was average, but professional. Room was really spacious, but very vintage and would be great to update the furniture and bathroom. The cleaning service was OK. Partial sea view was ok, but room was on the 3rd floor and unfortunately we can hear the noise from the street and the bars very clear till 2 a.m. every night. I have ask the reception for the room on higher floor but no free rooms available. I was surprised how poor was the wifi in the hotel especially in the room and by the pool. The breakfast was good, but not worthy of 40 Eur. No fresh fruits, just compote, selection of pastries and few cheeses, eggs, muesli... Very overpriced. Very disappointing is the private hotel beach - we have to pay 37 Euros for person every day. Very overpriced as well. The swimming pool was ok, but very deep (220 cm), so only for good swimmers. There is also a small pool for kids always full of children in age 1 - 4. Therefore the pool was very noisy, full of screaming kids, no good for relax with book. The prices of the room service menu are very high as well - the club sandwich was over 40 euros (Cannes street price is up to 20 euros in the restaurants on the Croisette beach),
We've just got back from a romantic trip staying at Hotel Martinez. We were in a newly refurbished room which was absolutely beautiful with modern mirrors and glass and carefully chosen objects on the shelfs giving it a touch of luxury. The striped wallpaper in blues and whites with the blue silk curtains really reflected the hotels grand history. The staff were always friendly, breakfasts delicious and location superb.
Excellent staff, service and delightful in every way. We had a lovely room w Med view and spacious deck area. The interior hotel is due for a facelift which is in the works, but all employees should be kept on. The consigere staff was extremely helpful, wait staff and support s helpful and friendly as any 5 star hotel. We will go back!
My daughter and spent 4 nights in Cannes in early June hoping for some adventure. Unfortunately, the concierge service is not very helpful either in making clear suggestions or answering questions. The restaurant offers a limited menu with minimal options for light fare. Nice location.
Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so special! were very impressed by the warm welcome, with friendly and personal service at check-in.Fantastic room with a stonning view to the sea, well functioning AC, fresh grapes and water bottles waiting in the room and on top of that an offer of Champagne at the bar! We really felt taken good care of during the entire stay. NIce and friendly staff every where; breakfast, gym, SPA, Reception, Concierge, beach, bar...every where. We asked for a late check-out, and that was not a problem at all and we received a personal greeting at check-out as well. Very nice!
