Stay 2 nights at this wonderful property to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Location is perfect. It is right on Boulevard de la Croisette. Most of the sights are within walking distance. The hotel has a nice boutigue feel and it reminds me of a Park Hyatt property. Service at the reception and breakfast is excellent. The service at breakfast is much more attentive then Hyatt Nice where we stay before coming to Cannes. We used points to upgrade to a junior suite on the top floor with an outside terrace. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the sunset at Cote d'Azur. The best part of the stay was the hospitality we received from Ms. E, the guest relation Manager. I e-mail the hotel and asked for a further upgrade from a partial sea view to a full sea view for this special occasion. The hotel responded that there none of junior suite has a full sea view. At check in, Ms. E surprised us with a very warm welcome and congratulated us on our 35th anniversary. My wife was quite surprised and impressed by the warm welcome. Upon entering our room, we saw that Ms E. arranged for house keeping to lay out a heart shape with rose paddles the bed. It was a great touch and we immediately took several photos. During the stay, Ms E. greeted us at breakfast every morning and at check out. She really made us feel welcome although it is our first time visit to the hotel. Overall all, it was great stay and a very memorable one made possible by great people from the Hyatt team like Ms.E.
We booked as part of a package, didn’t know much about the hotel, but we were not disappointed. A lovely old hotel with amazing staff, you can see the work that has been started and once refurbished it will be amazing. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The Bar was a lovely place to spend the evening and the staff were were wonderful and really spoilt my daughter. Definitely worth a visit you won’t be disappointed!
Perfect Location, close to everything where you can feel French Riviera's atmosphere. What a shame that many of the rooms are not renovated and that spoils the whole thing. Nice breakfast, clean areas , average service , nothing special after all.
Fantastic hotel. Stayed for 4-nights in one of the revamped rooms. Not sure what it looked like previously but now they are state-of-the-art. Numerous USB plugs, motion lights, mood lights, can connect tv to devices. Everything perfect. Reasonable price for a great hotel on the main road. Can recommend and will go back.
We can here for some last minute sun and to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. From the moment we entered we were made to feel special. They gave me a small present and champagne our room had already been upgraded to a newly renovated room which was delightful and had partial sea view. The breakfasts were pleasant but the service excellent. Half through a film crew entered and could have spoilt the atmosphere but they were kept under control and contained. I overheard a cameraman say we have to respect the guests and quite right too. I think it was a reality nonsense one. The weather was wonderful especially for October and we enjoyed an afternoon by the pool. The staff make this hotel special and it will be even better when the work is completed. I believe they are about to close to carry out the work opening late spring Thank you Martinez for having us.
The Martinez was and is always our favorite hotel and bar in Cannes. You can almost 'feel' that great names of famous people have been here, and not only for the architecture or reputation. The food and service is sublime and a visit to the Amiral bar is always fun. Try out the Pussy Foot cocktail; simply delicious and served with a big smile.
Cannot fault. We were part of a large group but stayed on for a few extra days. The hotel is excellent. The staff on the front deck, reception and beach club - brilliant. Food at the beach club again good value and tasty. Will come back. Great location for a few days in Cannes.
I had an excellent stay here recently... the hotel is in a very convenient location to access the many amenities along the 'Boulevard la Croisette' and the ports, the hotel staff are amiable and very helpful, the beds are refreshingly comfortable, all of which truly exudes a 5 star service. On a negative side (and this is no criticism, the hotel really offers great service overall), the gym was lacking in usually standard free-weight equipment and mirrors, although I understand it will be undergoing a refurbishment in a couple of months. And for guests that may be used to a strong 'cuppa' tea at breakfast, the choice tea bags were rather lacking in strength and thus required 2-3 tea-bags (which staff were more than happy to provide) to get the equivalent in strength of a normal tea bag in say, old Blighty. This did not deter from an excellent experience throughout my stay at the hotel. I will be keen to return to the Martinez when I'm in Cannes again.
Newly renovated rooms with beautiful views. We are having a wonderful time at the hotel itself and walking around the beautiful Cannes. Great location and nice private beach as well. The bar has live music which is such a nice treat!
Good location, we stayed in a huge suit, breakfast was ok but for such a hotel I do believe that they should improve the quality of scrabble eggs and especially French croissants should be ideal. Quiet ridiculous that's such expensive hotel charge you for swimming pool and beach beds separately. Submitted the laundry and asked on the phone when it can be done, the lady did not speak that much English replied that it can be ready at 5 pm without notification that it will extra charge for express service so I paid 80 euro for one dress and one blouse. Beds are very comfortable and rooms were very clean.
