Few palaces on the croisette, but the style art deco of the martinez is the best. Choose if you can the sea view, the rooms are the bigger ones on the croisette, really good refurbished. Service is good, location, pool, beach... I recommend!

Perfect service, the bests views of Cannes, incredible and luxury comfort. They will arrange everything you need to give you the best experience. The beach is a must, and the full breakfast is incredible too.

I am a Travel TV host and journalist. In September I stayed at this property. It is currently going through a renovation but when it is finished it will be amazing. The place is so elegant and yet charming at the same time. The concierge staff is super helpful. The rooms large and comfy. The front desk staff friendly and accommodating. Most especially the on-property restaurant, Le Palme d'or, is the stunning. Helmed by Executive Chef Christian Sinicropi, he is a masterful artist. The food that comes out of his kitchen is delicious and beautiful. Each dish is has a story. Even the plates he serves the food on has a story as each our designed and crafted by he and his wife. Of course every great hotel has a great leader and General Manager, Alessandro Cresta, IS that man. Thank you for making my stay amazing!! and thank you Marie Claire Boudad for everything!!!

We normally stay in high-end hotels and while I would not rate this as "high-end" it was a nice hotel and the rooms were above "average." Our room had a very large terrace with a "side" view of the ocean/beach...which was beautiful and relaxing. We ate at both the hotel restaurant and ordered room service...both were "okay." Service was very good...food was okay. However, the concierge recommended a "local" bistro for dinner one evening, which was a 3 block walk from the hotel, and the food & ambiance were fantastic...top notch! The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is fantastic, as you are within walking distance of just about everything (shops, restaurants, marina, beach) on Cannes Cote d'Azure. You may get complimentary bikes from the hotel to take a leisurely bike ride along the beach (highly recommend). Be sure to ride out the road of the marina to see the unbelievable yachts! Several were 3-stories high and the size of 3 houses. The shopping is something else...every high-end designer and store. Definitely a central location and a cosmopolitan vibe. It's much more casual than Paris and we did not feel the need to be as dressed up during the day nor in the evening for dinner. One important word of advice...while the roads in Cannes are relatively easy to navigate and wide enough for cars, that is not the case for the quaint and charming nearby ocean-side towns you will certainly want to visit! We rented a car and that was a HUGE, extremely stressful mistake....Our advice would be to rent a luxury car (available at the hotel) by the day...or better, take Uber or best of all get a DRIVER to take you around and from town to town. We were lost a lot and while we eventually found our intended destinations, after 2 days we were more stressed from driving than relaxed from being on the French Riviera. It's definitely stressful to be on incredibly narrow streets, with no street signs, limited access to accurate GPS and, oh yeah, in a part of the country where the signs are not necessarily in English...unlike Paris, not everyone necessarily speaks your language....however, all were still extremely friendly and helpful.

This review is for my third stay at this property and I can now safely say that stay here, is getting better by the year. First, the best part....Refurbished rooms are a delight. They are also quite romantic, which is a strong reminder of the legend of Martinez. Sadly, the not so good parts far outweigh the singular good part above. We were given the worst room down the corridor in the name of free upgrade. There was a loud and super annoying industrial noise due to the location of the room, wi-fi speed was highly disappointing and the lights went out in the room multiple times at night causing scary and dangerous pitch darkness for uncomfortably long minutes. The breakfast experience was worse with only a single chef catering to the eggs order. Every egg dish was wrongly made and several guests returned them coz it arrived too late. Maybe my expectations are too high from this place coz of the brand name or maybe I compare French hospitality with Asian...either case, I really hope to see Martinez buckling up soon.

The Grand Hyatt Martinez Cannes offers a great location and fine ambience. We stayed four nights as a party of six. Roberto at the check in desk, the concierge and bell staff were all fantastic. However on our last night we had booked a table for six at the Restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We had hoped to have the three course meal with wine on offer for 68 euros each. At 8.45 when we arrived for dinner the waiting staff were surly and told us that as the hotel was due to close for refurbishment the next day the menu was severely curtailed - no lamb, no Liver, no steak etc - the attitude was we should just put up with situation and eat what THEY offered not what would have been our choice. We asked to speak to the duty manager who was a man called Said. He was absolutely useless and told us there was nothing he could do as the Hotel was shutting down the next day. When asked why then had they taken our booking he just shrugged his shoulders. A real let down on what should have been a great celebratory night. We were therefore forced to leave and find a restaurant outside the hotel at 9.45 pm on a Sunday night. What a disappointment. No apology nor remorse was shown by Said the awful duty manager. Grand Hyatt please take note.

This was our third stay at the Martinez and the from the moment we stepped into reception the welcome from staff was warm and sincere. We were given a fabulous newly renovated suite furnished with such great elegance complete with a walk in closet and large bathroom. My father was given an adjoining suite and I think he was upgraded after I explained on arrival that he was joining my partner and I to relax after a difficult few weeks for all of us following my mother's serious fall from which she remained in hospital. To my great surprise the hotel sent up a bottle of chilled champagne to our room which was a wonderful way to start our holiday. Breakfast was superb as always, the weather was glorious and thanks to the Martinez we had a relaxing and memorable few days to recharge our batteries. All being well we will return with both my parents next year and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Cannes!

I came today for the 3d time to this mythical hotel and again the magic started as soon as I passed the main door! Virginie, Irina and of course the wonderful Saida at the reception went over the moon to accommodate me but most of all to actually please me ( how nice can you be?). They gave me the loveliest room, one that has been renovated, full of light, decorated in tasteful white and light blue. Much more modern than the old ones obviously but still with the Art Deco spirit. Having a glass of bubbly at the bar, where Guillaume and the rest of the team, once again, made sure I had a great time. Anyone in the area who wants to have a great time should book a room or pass by the bar or the restaurant of the Martinez in Cannes before it closes its doors at the end of the month for renovation. Because the hotel is great and the staff is wonderful. Not only because they do their job well but because they genuinely care for the overall experience of their customers, and that makes all the difference (especially when you compare with the nearby hotels on the Croisette).

Stay 2 nights at this wonderful property to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Location is perfect. It is right on Boulevard de la Croisette. Most of the sights are within walking distance. The hotel has a nice boutigue feel and it reminds me of a Park Hyatt property. Service at the reception and breakfast is excellent. The service at breakfast is much more attentive then Hyatt Nice where we stay before coming to Cannes. We used points to upgrade to a junior suite on the top floor with an outside terrace. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the sunset at Cote d'Azur. The best part of the stay was the hospitality we received from Ms. E, the guest relation Manager. I e-mail the hotel and asked for a further upgrade from a partial sea view to a full sea view for this special occasion. The hotel responded that there none of junior suite has a full sea view. At check in, Ms. E surprised us with a very warm welcome and congratulated us on our 35th anniversary. My wife was quite surprised and impressed by the warm welcome. Upon entering our room, we saw that Ms E. arranged for house keeping to lay out a heart shape with rose paddles the bed. It was a great touch and we immediately took several photos. During the stay, Ms E. greeted us at breakfast every morning and at check out. She really made us feel welcome although it is our first time visit to the hotel. Overall all, it was great stay and a very memorable one made possible by great people from the Hyatt team like Ms.E.

We booked as part of a package, didn’t know much about the hotel, but we were not disappointed. A lovely old hotel with amazing staff, you can see the work that has been started and once refurbished it will be amazing. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The Bar was a lovely place to spend the evening and the staff were were wonderful and really spoilt my daughter. Definitely worth a visit you won’t be disappointed!
