Nice enough hotel; good WiFi, clean and spacious rooms with a decent breakfast. Perhaps because I was there over an exhibition period, but the hotel was significantly over priced for what it offered. Not a bad hotel, but for what I paid one would expect much better. Plus, the lift only takes up to 6 people at a squeeze so don't expect to get to your room in a hurry....especially considering that you share the lift with hotel cleaning staff and their trolleys.
Wonderful stay in this Cannes hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room with en suit bath and shower, comfortable and well equipped with mini bar, kettle, coffee & tea. Iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Spa facilities with pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We had a 1/2 he back massage each which was well worth the €45 price tag. Positioned 2 blocks back from the sea front which was an easy 5 minutes stroll made it considerably cheaper than hotels with a waterfront view. A transfer car from Nice airport airport will cost €85 but if you don't mind a 10 minute easy walk then the number 210 bus will take you to the airport terminal in about 45 minutes for €22. Drinks can be expensive in Cannes so it is worth checking out a few different places to see what they charge. A cup of cafe au lait can cost as much as €12 on the Croissant whereas a roadside cafe at the port serve a more reasonably priced cup for around €3.60. Two front line Sun loungers plus parasol will cost around €45 for the day and €30 for the half day. Also at the port the Tourist Information office is a very helpful and useful place. They can show you the tours available and book a place on one for you. We went on a day boat trip to St Tropez for €50 which gave us 5 hours ashore.
I will for sure go back to this nicely refurbished Hotel. Very good buffet breackfast, nice helpfull stuff., and a super CANDY BAR.Excellent location ,2 minutes walk from the croisette,in the main shopping street ,rue d'Antibes, right behind the famous CARLTON HOTEL.
This is perfect for a lovely city break escape. Staff are amazing especially Edit. Here English is fab and she's alway very polite and happy, so are most of the staff. I would really recommend as it's right in the Heart of Cannes and everything is witching walking distance. Fabulous for Shopping and night life. Cannes is generally expensive but well worth the adventure.
The entrance to the hotel grounds is impressive. There are guards at the gate only allowing in those with reservations. The hotel is beautifully designed, However in spite of its luxurious appearance, it is really only the equivalent of a 4 Star hotel. (I am not suggesting that it has pretensions to being any more than that.) Although we had booked a junior executive suite with a balcony, we were given one without one. The room was large and clean, but the curtains don't keep out the light. The toilet/bathroom had a shower closet but no bath. The key card to our room did not work, so they had to give us a key. The basin in the bathroom did not drain, The hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a relatively small but well-equipped fitness room. There is also bowling, tennis and bicycles for the use of guests, Breakfast was down in the basement and no more than what one might expect from a 4 Star hotel. My only complaint would be that the staff are not particularly friendly and hardly anyone speaks English.
Small rooms and it can be noisy, There is only one elevator and it can only hold 5 people (without luggage) so when a group arrives expect a long wait. The rooms were small and our toilet was in a separate room around the corner from the rest of the bathroom. There are some pictures showing both a sink and a toilet in the same room but that was not the floor plan in our area. The bathroom sink looked like a nice design but was not functional e.g. it took up the entire counter top but the spout did not have enough clearance to fill a bottle with water. The breakfast buffet was very limited and no one seemed to be responsible for it. Our first morning, they ran out of coffee and it took a while to get more because no one was around. There were only two types of cereal (corn flakes and a chocolate cereal) and one morning the corn flakes were empty and not refilled. They did seem to have a different buffet in another room but there was no one around to explain the difference.
There is nothing wrong with Eden Hotel at all. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do more for you. Our room wasn't quite ready as we arrived 2 hours before check in. The man on reception happily gave us a pass to use the hotels outdoor pool (which there is normally a cost for). The room was spacious and clean. TV was a big point for me as I wanted to watch the Mayweather v McGregor fight which was on in the room at no cost. Breakfast was lovely, we don't really eat hot breakfasts abroad as not a big fan of eggs & bacon abroad. Plenty of choice though which was all tasty. The biggest selling point of Eden Hotel is without a doubt the location as it is literally 5 minutes walk to the beach and is right where all the shops are. I couldn't praise the hotel more to be fair. We would stay here again if we revisit Cannes
Great Location..only 2 blocks to the beach and on the main shopping street. Supermarket is a convenient walk from the hotel. The hotel lobby is spartan in appearance while things look better as you walk through. We had a superior room on the first floor with a small terrace garden outside our sliding doors. This was a quiet and peaceful setting to unwind. The room itself was large with a toilet separate from the bathroom. The room was large and comfortable though the decor was odd. The air conditioner worked but only to reduce room temperature to about 74ºF. Water pressure was awful and the water in our room never really exceeded tepid. Also, we detected a sewage smell in the bathroom and the water in the sink took a long time to go down the drain. Breakfast buffet was at an additional cost from the room and was good. The hotel boasts 4 stars and perhaps the spa facilities might reflect these. We didn't use the spa and would thus rate the hotel as only fair to average. I would actually give it 2 1/2 stars.
The hotel is noisy in the mornings and my bathing suit went missing after the first time my room was cleaned and nothing was done to fix this issue and the towels have a wired smell to them and the room is livable
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while on a tour in May. While the location is on the main shopping street, it's incredibly quiet at night. It's 1 block to Croisette street, which is the street along the beach. Room 104 is in the front on Rue de Antibes (hi-end, pricey stores). The room has a king bed, safe, separate toilet, but the sink drainage is terrible! We had to swirl the water to make it drain. The sink is around 1 1/2" deep making it impossible to rinse out any clothing. Diagonally across from the hotel is a nice restaurant, Bamboo (see my separate review). The side streets have lots of restaurants
