We’ve stayed at the Solara many times and have always enjoyed the living area and full kitchen. However, this stay was disappointing. The unit showed noticeable wear on the furniture and carpet, and overall cleanliness made me feel inclined to wear slippers the entire time. It was also quite noisy - we could hear neighbours, vehicles, and ongoing construction.
The lighting in the unit was very dim, especially in one of the bathrooms. Our self check-in experience was frustrating, as we didn’t receive the proper instructions. The phone number provided in our email didn’t work, and we eventually had to ask a random person for help to get the correct contact information. We’re both tech-savvy, so the issue wasn’t due to user error.
Apple AirPlay didn’t work on the TV, which was another inconvenience. On the positive side, the location is great, and several restaurants are within walking distance. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub this time. Overall, though, we left feeling disappointed with this visit.
