Our room was at pool side so we had great view from balcony specially during rain.Rooms are clean n good,Staff is decent. Market and many restaurants are near by, back side thers way to beach and candolim beach is nearby. SinQ and aguada fort at the other end, bikes and taxi available besides the hotel, so over all it was good in off season too. Only problem we face here is limited food due to off season but many restaurants around.

This was our 3rd visit to the ASR and it won’t be the last. A lovely welcome back from many of the staff a lot of whom were their from previous visits. What can we say, this is a small hotel with a big heart. The breakfasts are basic but you can order eggs any which way you like and the chef caters for those with special dietary requirements. The evening meals are very good with steak nights, sizzlers and a-la carte evenings too as well as various Indian choices. The staff will bend over backwards to help you and are always polite and have a smile for you. Lorna on Reception is very helpful and Sukumar at the bar is amazing. The staff serving you at meals deserve a mention too, Babu, Santosh, Subrata, Biswajit, Mrnhal, Vincent and Saubhagya to name but a few not forgetting Morris. The rooms are basic, some with a living room, kitchen and separate bedroom but always kept clean. We had a ground floor room which was our preference and loved it. Thank you Sam for looking after our room. There are plenty of beds and chairs around the pool and it’s nice to be able to have a dip to cool off although we quite often went to the beach for the day which you can access down the side of the hotel and takes about 10-15 minutes depending on the heat. This is a gem of a hotel and if you are looking for a friendly hotel where the staff remember you from previous visits and the food is lovely then look no further then the ASR. Happy holidays.

We have been there in April 2019 and it was the best holiday we have ever had! Very friendly staff, delicious food, great entertainments, cooking lessons, rooms were basic but very clean with AC , everything was just perfect, we are definitely coming back to this hotel and we would like highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing place! Thank you for making our family holiday beautiful!

This isn’t a big, bold out there hotel, but this is why the Adlerian Santa rita is perfect. It’s small size makes for meeting people and getting to know each other, it’s a small piece of candolim where the staff are great, the food cooked for you is cooked well and where the cook hasn’t forgotten that the English are arriving, and so they also have a snack menu of chips, toasties and evening meals where they cater for all with their steak nights, barbecue and sizzler nights. The pool although looks small is actually the perfect size and doesn’t allow inflatables unless as an aid which people do stick to, there is no need to put towels down as you’ll always get a bed, what its like at different months I will get to see as I will be back. The staff here are great and nothing is too much trouble, I can really see why people return year on year to this hotel. It’s not the ritz by no means but it is clean and old style. Although it is at the further end of candolim, the taxis are cheap and there’s a tuk tuk to jump in for a couple of pound. There’s also many shops right by the hotel if you do need tobacco, sweets or medicines as well as clothes and gifts. The beach isn’t far away but it does feel like a trek on the hot sand when you are coming back. The streets are dusty and do have cow droppings with them having free reign over the streets, so bare this in mind when choosing shoes for walking. Johns boat tours are much cheaper for identical trips against tui so please shop around before booking. If you thinking of doing the Taj Mahal this is £560 per person with tui for 3 days to give you an idea. We didn’t do it as you can pay half this if booked from the uk before you go. Overall we have loved this holiday and will be back.

Our first visit to Goa , we were told if you get through the first 24 hours you’ll love it !!! We flew from Birmingham with TUI on the 15th April . After landing at Goa airport we were warned about Immigration . What a fiasco 1 and half hours in a queue. Then another 1 and half hours on the coach waiting for the other half of the plane to get through Immigration !!!. Finally got to our hotel at 3.30 am . We were shown to our room and finally our holiday started !! The rooms were basic but very clean . We had a amazing holiday here . We couldn’t fault anything . The staff were amazing too nothing was to much trouble for them . The food was amazing also we never had a bad meal .Special thanks to Lorna from reception who so helpful, and Sukumar at the bar for getting us drunk lol . We would definitely go back to this little Gem . We can understand why people come back here .

We booked the Superior room and travelled as a family (couple + 4.5 year kid) in May. It has a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen area with a sink, and a balcony. The bedroom is air conditioned and has a comfortable double bed, table-chair, wardrobe, and an attached bathroom. The living room has another bed (a divan), a wooden trunk (Sandook) that doubles up as a table, comfortable cane chairs, and TV. The balcony has another set of table-chair (plastic/fiber). The kitchen area has a fridge, sink, and a granite slab. The report has a not-so-big parking space that accommodates a few cars. But there are parking attendants, so they'll help you out to take your car out. So not much problem there. The resort is just by the main Candolim road, and there are plenty of shopping places, super markets, eateries etc. The beach is just a few minute's walk. The road to the beach is better than what I had expected after seeing videos. The pool is good. Depth is 3-6 feet. The best part is, there is a tree by the pool, which casts shadow on the pool, keeping it cooler. The cleanliness and service are stellar. We are really impressed. Whenever I called for any service, they were surprisingly fast. Good job there! Now the things that could have been better for us: - Food (dinner and breakfast) - Mediocre in taste and verity. Not sure if it is due to non-season (May), but the menu and the taste is really disappointing. - The AC was not working properly. It was cooling alright, but was not getting controlled by the remote. We set the temp in the remote and slept off, then woke up 2 nights shivering in cold. Then I realized, my settings are being displayed only on the remote, the AC is working on its own. I then found a workaround - set the temp and fan speed on the remote, then switch off/on (restart) the AC. It worked. - Water logging in the bathroom. Mysteriously, some water showed up near the toilet. There was no clogging as there was no sand in the bathroom. I asked the house keeping, but they did not know. We did not want to change the room, so lived with it. Later we found that the water from the bath area was somehow was seeping through the shower enclosure. All in all, we loved the place. We definitely recommend Aldeia Santa Rita. Spacious, clean, great service, good location. We plan to visit again.

I very much doubt that this hotel can be beaten, not just in Goa but much much wider afield. Every member of staff treated all of us (2 adults and 2 kids) like royalty. The food was excellent and varied.accomodation is basic and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is wary of travelling to India. Thank you all for a great holiday.

We were a group of 6 who initially did the Golden Triangle Tour staying at 5 star hotels along the way. When we arrived at the Santa Rita late in the evening, I must admit I was really disappointed with the room. When I spoke to other guests the following morning my attitude changed completely and I would actually be happy to stay again. It is a small and friendly little gem with the best food and service ever as the staff work really had to make your stay memorable. It is close to the beach, shops and restaurants if you even think of eating out? ( we didn't feel the need to though) The food is excellent. We all had treatments in the Spa with Rosie which was lovely and also had shirts, dresses and tunics made with a tailor that visits the site. Cheap and good quality. Special thanks to Sukaman and Babu. This hotel comes highly recommended if your not looking for 5 stars. 🤗

First time ever to Goa and was extremely lucky to have stayed at Santa Rita. Lovely little hotel, food was always excellent but the crowning glory were the staff. Always helpful and friendly, and not just the bar and restaurant staff. Eshwari and Jaya were always delightful, with smiles to brighten up anybody's day. I've never travelled anywhere that can compare to the friendliness of the Indian people.

A return visit to the Santa Rita after four years did not disappoint. A lot of the staff still the same from our first visit and met once again by Lorna in command of reception. The food is excellent and the rooms have been upgraded and the whole holiday could not be faulted. We received a cake in view of our return visit had did other return guests and there were a lot which does go to show the excellent value for money the Santa Rita is. All birthday guests receives a cake and a couple had a double helping of cake, both celebrating their birthday whilst on holiday, it was her seventieth and shows the vast range of guests ages. The only fault was an influx of locals who in the main had no respect for the rules of the hotel nor their own people working at the hotel and perhaps management could have done more to combat the behaviour mixing the pool with the intake of alcohol. Will definitely look forward to a further return visit to the Santa Rita at a cost of no more than a couple of weeks in a Cornwall hotel and it's quarries.
