Pleasant helpful staff, housekeeper does a fantastic job, everywhere very clean. Pleasant enough area by the church just a 15 minute walk from Deauville center but you are constantly reminded of the horse track and stables almost behind the hotel...the smell is a constant wafting all around and in your room once you open the windows. Why not turn the pool temp up a couple of degrees in late summer September so it can be used?! Looking at the hotels website the rooms look quite spacious and not too tired/ would seem room 103 is the room to avoid at all costs then as it is dark dingy and pokey...what a shame we got it and it was sold to me as superior?! For the money it's OK, new carpets, some badly needed decoration in the bedroom we stayed in would ve made all the difference. Stayed last year nearer the beach, €15 a night cheaper and a lot newer, it was the heated outdoor pool that swung it for us...pity you can't use it...lesson learned

We stayed here as a couple about 7 years ago and then again last month. It is a good hotel and we rang direct and got a better deal than anywhere online. The pool is lovely and the rooms are spacious and of a high standard. We had a room big enough for a double bed, a pull out sofa bed (which they set up while we were out having our evening meal) and a travel cot (which they provided). All 3 of our children and us fitted in comfortably. We had 2 TVs, a safe, 2 balconies, a whirlpool bath and separate WC. Pretty much perfect. Decent location if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk into town. Only drawback was that they stung us for a hidden supplement which had never been mentioned, so check for that!

this is a well located small hotel in Deauville.we found it well run, nice, clean rooms,in a old villa typical of the Deauville style, the hotel own 2 of them. There is a small swimming pool that was a blessing when we were there(during heat wave) we would recommend the hotel to anyone who doen't want to be in one of the big palaces (with palace price)

I chose this hotel because I had stayed here about 10 years ago and remember it being well situated in Deauville. I could have spent a bit more and stayed at the Barriere Royal, but decided to go with something smaller and more charming. In the two days I was there, I did not see one person who worked there smile. It was very odd, they were aloof at best. When we arrived we were shown to our room by a very tired young woman who seemed just exhuasted. She was kind enough, but not at all enthused. She told us we should be sure to tell them when we were going out at night so they could turn down our sofa bed. So, when I was going out I was sure to tell the man there. He was really not interested in this, kind of rolled his eyes at me, and said ok ok I will take care of it. When we returned it had not been done. Not a problem, I did it myself, but I was just following their instructions. I told the woman at the front desk the following morning. She was not happy to hear this, pointed at the man in question, and said "Was it him that you talked to?" Oh dear. How embarrassing. Yes, I am complaining about you sir, how do you do? The room itself was large enough, but very run down. They need new carpets, new wallpaper (paint), updated bathrooms, new grouting, new bedding. For 500 euros for two nights I would have expected more enthusiastic service and more up to date accommodations. So next year I will spend another 100 euros (that is all) to go to the Barriere, which is a shame because I enjoy small, friendly hotels. But this one was just not very friendly.

Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with two windows overlooking the lovely garden and very quiet. The staff was great too. They were courteous, informative when asked, helpful with a warm welcome and a kind goodbye. We just had a wonderful stay and if you want an intimate and relaxing Normandie stay, not far from the beach and close to shops etc., the Augeval Hotel is for you. The swimming pool is nice too.

Our room was clean and well serviced. The staff were all extremely friendly friendly and helpful. Although the billing outside claimed it had a restaurant this wasn't the case apart from breakfast (which was pretty good). Food could be ordered from room service, but our room didn't have a table and chairs so we didn't take advantage. The bar in the evening was essentially a drinks trolley in the reception area and didn't seem popular.

I don't want this place to change! The hotel is full of character and charm. The staff are very professional and welcoming. Our view onto the stables was a lovely surprise which made sitting at the balcony a pleasure. Our three night stay has been so relaxing. Take a short walk in any direction and be blown away by the charm of this town. Deauville is one the the most beautiful places to spend time and I most certainly will return and stay here.

My wife & I stayed at this hotel recently for a weeks break and we could not have wished for anything better. From the moment we arrived and greeted by Jean-Paul we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Everyone at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, the room we had was very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. the hotel itself is in a superb location for Deauville races and a 10 minute stroll into the centre of town or to the beach.

Very helpful staff, excellent English. My room although a single was reasonably large and well equipped. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and a cooked option was available. The decor is a little tired on stairs was but the room was good and the breakfast area very nicely decorated.

This is a lovely comfortable hotel. The room was excellent especially as there was a separate attached room for our daughter. With a balcony and two sets of big windows the room was comfortable and easy to cool down it if got warm The location was great for access to town and easy parking in the square.
