My partner & I stayed at this hotel over the British august bank holiday. We reached the hotel by foot, it took around 20 minutes from the train station / bus station. It was a lovely walk, seeing the houses and the racecourse en route. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and is a very stunning building from the outset. We arrived at the reception desk to check in, there wasn't anyone there. We waited around 15 minutes before seeing the note & phone to call the staff (like a bell). We were shown to our room by the lovely lady on reception. There is a lift and stairs. Our room was very small with low ceilings. Room 301. The bathroom was also small and the shower ceiling was very low, especially for my nearly 6ft partner. We paid for breakfast one morning €16 each. It was not worth it. It included juice, hot drink, bread, cereal, fruit, ham & cheese. Not hot breakfast was offered despite being told on reception there was 'a finger size' breakfast to a 'large' breakfast. There is a lovely sized outdoor swimming pool onsite outside. Unfortunately we did not have the time to use it. We had a couple of drinks in the hotel before going out & added them to our room tab. Be aware that there is tax added on to this! The beach is about 20 min walk away. The town around 10 min. Deauville racecourse less than 5 minutes. Clairfontain racecourse around 25 minutes walk away. Everything is accessible on foot. Overall a lovely stay, wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the pool. And maybe a bigger room.

I simply love the room. Everything is perfect, spending from TV-channels to the number of towels in the bathroom. They money was well spent, and we're coming back. We can only recommend this hotel to all people, visiting Deauville.

My wife and I stayed here many years ago and recently and it had the same charm great service and comfort we experienced 20 plus years ago. I love walking to the beach as it is a very comfortable stroll but on the one afternoon after golf I hung out at the pool and it was perfect. I would recommend this as an alternative to the very expensive beach side resorts, but it is small so people might not like this, we do and we return again.

Augeval is beautiful, quintessential property and fantastic hotel. We were in Deauville for racing and were pleasantly surprised with a room overlooking the yard to racing yard. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. We will definitely be returning next season and would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful people, quietly, very clean, nice swimmingpool, good location..we had 6 nights 7 days of joy at the hotel ! Special thanks to Catherine ,who did a great job (cleaning)..the weather was not great but it doesn't matter at all!x

Restful setting near the church and racecourse. Lovely to see the horses and stables. Pleasant walk into town or to the beach but also shops and bars nearby. Lots to do in and around Deauville and we were pleased with our comfortable room. The pool is small but catches the sun and is just right for a quick dip at the end of the day.

L'augeval is very well located not far from les planches de Deauville a walk away from the city centre and the beach. Very well restored typical old hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable. Everything worked well heating and Wifi. Swimming pool very small.

Pleasant helpful staff, housekeeper does a fantastic job, everywhere very clean. Pleasant enough area by the church just a 15 minute walk from Deauville center but you are constantly reminded of the horse track and stables almost behind the hotel...the smell is a constant wafting all around and in your room once you open the windows. Why not turn the pool temp up a couple of degrees in late summer September so it can be used?! Looking at the hotels website the rooms look quite spacious and not too tired/ would seem room 103 is the room to avoid at all costs then as it is dark dingy and pokey...what a shame we got it and it was sold to me as superior?! For the money it's OK, new carpets, some badly needed decoration in the bedroom we stayed in would ve made all the difference. Stayed last year nearer the beach, €15 a night cheaper and a lot newer, it was the heated outdoor pool that swung it for us...pity you can't use it...lesson learned

We stayed here as a couple about 7 years ago and then again last month. It is a good hotel and we rang direct and got a better deal than anywhere online. The pool is lovely and the rooms are spacious and of a high standard. We had a room big enough for a double bed, a pull out sofa bed (which they set up while we were out having our evening meal) and a travel cot (which they provided). All 3 of our children and us fitted in comfortably. We had 2 TVs, a safe, 2 balconies, a whirlpool bath and separate WC. Pretty much perfect. Decent location if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk into town. Only drawback was that they stung us for a hidden supplement which had never been mentioned, so check for that!

this is a well located small hotel in Deauville.we found it well run, nice, clean rooms,in a old villa typical of the Deauville style, the hotel own 2 of them. There is a small swimming pool that was a blessing when we were there(during heat wave) we would recommend the hotel to anyone who doen't want to be in one of the big palaces (with palace price)
