Located just 50 meters from the Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo lagoon. Rustic house, typical of fajã, that allows its guests a breathtaking view over the lagoon and the waves of the sea that surround the coast of this fajã. Ideal for surfing, fishing, diving and hiking.
The house has 1 double bedroom with access to the terrace, 1 bedroom with 3 bunk beds, 1 kitchen with gas fridge, dining room and WC.
Pay special attention that cars do not have access to Fajã de Santo Cristo: take comfortable clothing and shoes - the tracks to and within the fajã are made of dirt.
In this fajã there is no electricity - the lighting of the house is guaranteed by 12V batteries, which allow the charging of mobile phones and / or tablets.
Take supplies needed for your stay, they can be transported by 4x4 motorbike, as you will not be able to buy them inside.

lugar tranquilo e acolhedor

A fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo é um dos lugares de visita obrigatório em S. Jorge. Embora não tenha acesso de carro, existem dois trilhos que permitem o acesso ao lugar. Fizemos o trilho mais pequeno e demorámos aproximadamente 1 hora (levávamos crianças connosco). Alternativamente, este trilho pode ser feito com moto4. Vários habitantes locais fornecem esse serviço aos turistas para facilitar a entrada e saída da fajã. O nosso anfitrião (o Miguel), também se disponiblizou para nos facilitar o acesso ao lugar. O segundo trilho permite passar por uma pequena cascata que era muito bonita. A fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo é um lugar encantador para passar umas férias e aproveitar a paz, o sossego e a envolvência da natureza local. Contudo, não é o local ideal para se explorar o resto da ilha. A casa é muito perto da lagoa e, apesar de a casa não ter eletricidade, um painel solar garante a iluminação da casa. Ela tem todo o conforto necessário para umas óptimas férias. O anfitrião foi uma pessoa espetacular e esteve sempre disponível em tudo o que precisámos para tornar a nossa estadia agradável. Obrigado. Recomendo este alojamento para uma estadia na fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo, sobretudo para pessoas que procuram desportos náuticos e contacto com a natureza, afastados da rotina do dia-a- dia.
