Bungalow, located in the best area of ​​Madeira, where the sun shines almost all year round, where you can see a unique sunset. Hilltop hideaway with sea view!

A beautiful and welcoming small villa up a steep hill with an incredible view of the sea. A lovely terrace and pool that invites you to relax and enjoy. The neighbourhood is wonderful, great for walking and exploring. A cafe and small store up the hill and another cafe and large super mercado down the hill . The villa itself is lovely and well appointed with everything you could want or possibly need. The private terrace and pool is a wonderful plus. I need my outdoor space! The location was excellent for accessing both levada and mountain hikes. Vanda and Carlos were thoughtful and accommodating hosts. We loved our stay here. It is definitely one of the best places we have stayed and we hope to stay again!

"Cozy"

Lovely, well equipped villa with a nice kitchen, 2 full baths, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, plenty of storage, but unfortunately very little indoor living space. Ok in the summer, with the outdoor dining area and the pool, but in the cooler months it's a bit cramped. It''s close to a major road and you hear traffic all the time, but still, I enjoyed my stay very much. Good location for a base to see the island.

L'accueil par Vanda est personnalisé. C'est une personne accueillante et chaleureuse qui se soucie du bien-être de ses hôtes. Le logement est superbement aménagé, propre et soigné. Schönes kleines Häuschen mit zwei Badezimmern, tollem, eigenem Salzwasserpool und Meerblick in einer ruhigen Lage. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war stets unproblematisch und nett. Die Küche war perfekt ausgestattet. Einziges Manko war die Hellhörigkeit. Zum oberen Schlafzimmer führt eine Holztreppe und sobald jemand diese betritt, hört man unten jeden Schritt. Zudem hat das Zimmer keine separate Tür.

Es war ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus, was aufgund der Lage der Schnellstraße leider sehr laut war und ein draussen sitzen praktisch unmöglich macht, das war ziemlich schade, hätte man eigentlich im Vorfeld wissen müssen. Wir haben aber das Beste draus gemacht. Die Einrichtung ist Zweckmäßig, jedoch nicht hochwertig. das Haus ist ideal für Tagestouren. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen nett und kümmerte sich auch. Bis auf Kleinigkeiten ein tolles Haus, beim nächsten mal würden wir alledrings das größere der beiden Häuser mieten.

Kleines Casa, liebevoll eingerichtet

Wir haben es zu dritt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist an der ER101 nicht ganz ruhig, stört aber nicht groß. Tollen Ausblick von der Terrasse, sehr nette Begrüßung und Betreuung von Vanda. Zu viert ist es im Wohnbereich etwas eng, sollte das Wetter zu schlecht sein um draußen zu sitzen. Alles in Allem hat es an Nichts gefehlt. Das in der Nähe gelegene kleine Restaurant Ilidio's ist zu empfehlen, Poncha ist dort sehr lecker. Auch zur Pukikibar lohnt sich der Fußweg, 20Minuten für die besten Cocktails. Gerne wieder.

Great Family Getaway

We enjoyed our 9-days stay very much. The private pool was great, and the kitchen came with everything we needed - including a bottle of very tasty red wine. The availability of two bathrooms was a big plus. Calheta also turned out to be a very convenient location as basis for hikes, and there is a huge selection of nice restaurants in the harbor area. As mentioned in the description, the bungalow is located next to the road, so we were prepared to hear some traffic noise. However, the great view from the terrace compensated for that. For some of us the beds were a little bit on the hard side, and due to the wooden construction every movement on the upper floor could be clearly heard in the bedroom below.

Leider kein Super Host

Das tiny house ist wirklich schön, die Ausstattung gut, es gibt schöne Aufmerksamkeiten vor Ort. Jedoch ist es nicht in Ordnung, dass der host das Mietobjekt ohne Rücksprache betritt (auch wenn es nur zum Blumengießen ist) Zusätzlich gab es bei uns Probleme mit der Rechnung: es wurde uns von fewo zu wenig Geld in Rechnung gestellt und uns vom Vermieter vorgeworfen wir hätten dies merken müssen. Nachdem wir zugesichert hatten, dass wir das Geld von zu Hause aus überweisen würden (ich mache mein onlinebanking nicht mit dem handy) war der host erst einverstanden und alles schien in Ordnung. Nach zwei weiteren Tagen begann die Nerverei: der host passte uns ab und stellte uns zur Rede ob wir etwas von fewo gehört hätten und wenn nicht dann sollten wir bar bezahlen. Wir versuchten über die fewo app zu bezahlen, was leider nicht funktioniert hat. Die Aufforderung nach Barzahlung erfolgte noch mehrmals. Schließlich reichte es uns und wir telefonierten mit fewo und erfuhren, dass der host erst die Rechnung anstoßen muss bevor fewo eine Bezahlungsaufforderung schicken kann. Wir wickelten dann die Bezahlung telefonisch mit fewo ab. Dann hatten wir endlich wieder Urlaub. Wir verstehen nicht warum uns unterstellt wurde, dass wir nicht bezahlen wollten. Schließlich kann man bereits zwei Wochen vor Beginn des Urlaubstermins nicht mehr kostenfrei stornieren und ist zur Zahlung verpflichtet. Schade.

Aussichtsreich und stilvoll

Die überaus liebenswürdigen Vermieter machten durch persönliche Gespräche den Aufenthalt zu einem individuellen Erlebnis. Das schnuckelige Häuschen mit Pool und phantastischem Meerblick hat als einzigen Nachteil die unterhalb verlaufende Umgehungsstraße, wo es immer wieder nicht zu überhörenden Verkehr gab. Logement très agréable à vivre.

Je recommande ce logement géré par une hôtesse attentive et sympathique. Le logement est petit, accueillant et optimisé avec des espaces extérieurs complémentaires très bien aménagés qui constituent l’essentiel des lieux de vie. Nous avons séjourné en août. La piscine est chauffée , au soleil à partir de 10 h 30 jusqu’au soir et à l’eau salée , ce qui est beaucoup plus agréable que le chlore. Seul petit bémol, la circulation sur la route en contrebas qui créée quelques nuisances sonores.

Casa da Rainha, Estreito da Calheta - Feedback June 2022

It is a very beautiful and cozy house. For two or three persons the house is absolutely adaquate. We had the luck of good weather and could mostly sit outside and enjoyed the wonderful private pool - 27-29 degrees are very comfortable. All necessary equipment in kitchen and house is there, we missed nothing, and all is in good standard, often new! Vanda and Pedro, the owner, are very polite and helpful, if there were questions. We all can only recommend this wonderful house and also the small village Calheta, on the south side of Madeira, where in our time we had no rain or bad weather, this coast site on Madeira is absolutely our favorite. It was our third time on Madeira, and when we come again, we would choose again the location and this house. Best wishes Karin, Ralph & Gabi

Just wonderful!!!!

The place is super cosy and well equipped. There is everything you need on your holidays. Contact with owner was fast and easy , Vanda and her family are really nice and helpful! There is a supermarket and really nice cocktail bar nearby. Pool was just for us and it was a pleasure to jump in after a long hike! We will definitely come back!

Winterurlaub auf Madeira

Wir waren zum ersten mal auf Madeira und haben mit diesem Ferienhaus eine sehr gute Wahl getroffen. Vanda und ihre Familie sind jederzeit erreichbar und helfen weiter. Das Häuschen ist klein und wenn das Wetter schlecht ist ist der Raum schon begrenzt. Der Außenbereich mit Pool ist wirklich groß und alles ist sehr gepflegt. Die Küche ist exzellent ausgestattet. Die Anbindung an die Hauptverkehrsader ist sehr gut. Man braucht hier ein Mietauto. Einzig das Bett war für uns schwierig und zu klein für große Menschen. Hier werden die Vermieter aber Abhilfe schaffen. Wir empfehlen dieses Ferienhaus weiter, im Winter für zwei Personen und in den Sommermonaten wenn der Außenbereich uneingeschränkt dazukommt auch mit Kindern. Allerdfings ist die Treppe in das kleine Dachgeschoss sehr steil. Kleinkinder sollten hier nicht wohnen.

Traumhafter Urlaub auf Madeira

Vanda und Carlos sind zwei sehr nette Leute. Da wir am Anfang in Quarantäne mussten, haben sie für uns eingekauft damit wir was zu essen hatten. Das Häuschen mit seinem Pool war ein Traum. Wir waren zu viert und hatten genügend Platz Das einzig negative war die Straße neben dem Haus die etwas laut war. Trotzdem hatten wir einen traumhaften Urlaub auf Madeira.

schöne kleine Oase

Alles perfekt für unsere Bedürfnisse - Straße nebenan war bekannt. Leider fehlte der Hinweis in der Beschreibung auf die Zusatzkosten für den beheizten Pool, was aber nicht wild war.

Super Location - hoher Erholungscharakter

Das Ferienhaus ist wirklich ein Kleinod und die Vermieter absolut klasse ... alles hier ist sehr neu und top gepflegt (Stand 09/2019). Die Bilder entsprechen zu 100% der Realität. Es ist alles in ausreichender Menge da und für unsere Bedürfnisse in absolut ansprechender Qualität. Der Pool (kein Chlor, leicht salziges Wasser - super) war für unsere Zeit optimal ... nachts abgedeckt und tagsbüber offen, immer eine angenehme Temperatur und außerdem sehr sauber. Das ganze Drumherum passt super, auch die Außen-Küche beim Grill ist sehr gut gelöst. Die Proportionen der Wohnung (EG/OG) sind für zwei Personen absolut ausreichend und auch vier Personen finden hier Platz, allerdings nur wirklich gut, wenn man viel nach draußen kann. Aber für vier oder mehr Personen haben die Vermieter noch ein größeres Ferienhaus direkt nebenan. Die Vermieter sind superherzlich und das Miteinander war mega angenehm. Wir würden dieses Ferienhaus bei Bedarf jederzeit wieder mieten. Zum Ort Calheta noch soviel: für uns war es der Ort, der nahezu Sonnengarantie hatte ... egal, von wo wir von unseren Ausflügen zurückkamen - gegen Nachmittag war immer beste Pool-Time angesagt. Wer Lust auf Sandstrand hat, kann auch in wenigen Minuten direkt an den Sandstrand von Calheta fahren ... schön gemacht und tolle Meerwassertemperatur. Die Gastronomie in der unmittelbaren Umgebung ist klasse, die klassischen Suchmaschinen helfen optimal bei der Suche und überall wird englisch gesprochen ... wir wurden nicht einmal enttäuscht und Preis-/Leistung war überall absolut in Ordnung. Für den eigenen Bedarf im Haus ist der gut ausgestattete Supermarkt nur wenige hundert Meter weg, in Calheta gibt es einen noch größeren, falls Bedarf besteht. Madeira selbst ist für uns insgesamt ein Traum gewesen ... die zahlreichen Möglichkeiten für spektakuläre Ausflüge, die wirklich sehr gastfreundlichen Bewohner, die immer wieder positiv überraschende Vegetation, die tolle Wohnmöglichkeit und der ganze Rest dürften für viele einen unvergesslichen Urlaub möglich machen.

Süßes kleines Haus. Für zwei Personen vollkommen ausreichend und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht! Sehr nette Gastgeber, welche einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen! Alleine die ausführliche Wegbeschreibung, auf einer Insel deren Straßenverkehr aus Tunneln und Kreisverkehren zu bestehen scheint, hat es uns ermöglicht den Weg auch im Dunkeln zu finden! Wir konnten neun Tage bei traumhaften Wetter die Insel erkunden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt !
