This property is what we colloquial refer to as a tournament hotel. That would be a nice thing to say about this place. The carpets are stained, drywall is damaged, the place smells, and when we got in at 10 oclock at night there were no bars, restaurants or room service available. The staff here are the best thing about this hotel. This place is in need of either bulldozing or a major refurbishment. I now know why the price was so low for accomodations. The only good thing about this hotel was leaving it.
When I booked online it was a quick book in as all the hotels were sold out. When I booked it in I accidentally booked as smoking. I asked if I could change to non smoking & they said no. Our room was awful including the bathroom. The sink & tube kept clogging up. Unual odour. The roof was leaking in the bathroom. The room & bed were stinky. Couldn't sleep all night. There was also a party on the main floor was on top of our room. Awful experience & wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.
The staff here were amazing. My husband and myself were in town trying to find a hotel as my father was in hospital for open heart surgery. We have 2 pooches and they were so accomadating when we couldn't find a hotel room anywhere in town on this busy weekend. Bathroom was dirty. Looks like housekeeping missed a few things. Otherwise the stay was great.
The shuttle to the airport at 435am was very convenient. Could not use the pool or hot tub, it was way over capacity. Hallways had trays on the floor ice machines did not work. It was okay for 1 night to be by the airport, but not great
Clean and quiet room. Adequate air conditioning system. Pleasant staff. Free (self) Parking. This place was adequate for a short stay, and conveniently close to the airport.
Great for an overnight stay from the airport. Frustrating that they messed up the airport shuttle, especially when it's 11:30pm, otherwise can't fault this place. Staff were friendly throughout, important when visiting a new place from the airport.
Ended up staying here twice in about a week just by chance. This visit was uneventful. The hotel is clean, average rooms. Parking is tight. If you're not there early you'll park further away from the building but still manageable. There's nothing special or horrible with this place
This hotel is close to Sunridge Mall which has a LRT station right beside it... so much better than crazy expensive parking downtown. Stayed for 2 nights - Thursday & Friday to help out a friend moving to new apartment in Downtown calgary - no parking anywhere..! Hotel was clean, front desk staff where great on both check in & check out! I stayed in the King room with oversized tub (which i didn't get to use because hot tub was working -YEAH) Bed was amazing but wish they would use/offer a different selection of pillows (don;t like feather ones myself) but when i asked at the front desk she didn't seem to think they had another choice available. Ending up ordering fish & chips in the lounge and that along with the Pale ale on tap was awesome. The restaurant was closed by the time i got up from enjoying my relaxing soak in the hot tub but the food and service were great in the lounge! Will definitely stay again when i return for more unpacking!
Ok in a pinch, but not the most awesome place to stay. Somewhat clean. Not overly -friendly staff.....ordered Room service and was informed that the 15% gratuity was automatically applied! ( I think that I should be able to rate the service, and award accordingly. If this is the case, why don't you just adjust your prices to state that!!????) Isn't that the whole reason for the "gratuity"?....a measure of how they perform? Hotel is noisy, but we knew that would be the case, with the Airport right next to it. Anyway, parking is good, location is fair at best, pool is just Ok. Won't be staying here again....you can do much better for the same money, or less.
Stayed for 2 nights and the rooms were comfortable n clean. Wifi was working well and the front desk was pretty quick/polite while checking in. Not the best restaurant in terms of breakfast as the options are limited. They definitely need to do something in the hallway (we were in level 4) as the moment you come out of the elevator, the smell from carpets hits you. But as we only stayed in the nights (since day time have been touring to Banf) and there was no problem in the room - we enjoyed good sleep. Price was reasonable and excellent car parking facilities.
