Got what you paid for. Needs some updates and tlc. Couldn't believe rust stains in toilet. Surely cleaning staff could be given something to clean that. Makes whole bathroom seem dirty. Wifi very slow and not secure.
No complaints. Reasonable price, clean room (smelled a little musty, hopefully not smoke). Had to wait an hour for the airport shuttle despite arriving at a reasonable time. Didn't utilize many amenities but the staff were polite.
Quick stay before flying....beds very comfortable....restaurant on property but not much other eating choices in the area. Room cozy...family happy and that's what counts!
In town on business, this hotel reasonably suited my needs. It was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Didn't exceed expectations in any way, but I only needed a place to sleep and bathe so I didn't need much.
The hotel hallways were filthy, the cable didn't work, there was water poring through the ceiling fan when it rained. The pool was closed the day after we swam by Alberta health and the staff couldn't explain why. Definitely not a 3 star.
We booked this room from a third party company. The had my car arriving a day before we were to be check in..... They were able to get us a room even though it was the start of the Stampede . They only had smoking rooms left, my wife was allergies, She said it should be ok for one night. Front desk called and asked if it was ok, they offered us free breaky coupons for the morning, VERY NICE !!!! We will stay here again for sure
We spent three days at this property while performing at the Calgary Stampede. As usual, the prices were jacked for Stampede, but the rates at this hotel were the best in town and the location is great...lots of restaurants and other businesses very close by. The only food we had was there early riser breakfast, which was an excellent value. The staff were all most helpful. There is ample free parking, good free WIFI...and it is a short drive down the Barlow or Deerfoot Trail to downtown.
The rooms were very nice, the bathroom roomy, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I was a bit concerned about the noise level when I saw several tour coaches arrive but our room was lovely and quiet. Great location within walking distance of several restaurants.
The room isnt updated. Front desk staff has no smile.. On our way back, we waited for almost an hour for shuttle to pick us up. Their shuttle bus schedule is like 1:30pm leaving the hotel, 2pm leaving at the airport. So if you miss the 2pm shuttle at the airport, you would have to wait for the 3pm one. We thought of getting uber to drive us there and it costs about 25 dollars. The hotel only has one shuttle and each way it takes 20-25 mins lol We are not happy and we wish we would have paid a little bit more to stay at sandman or holiday inn which is closer and more frequent schedule. Definitely will not be back !
Don't count on breakfast if you are on any time constraints. Never had such a disturbing experience in a hotel restaurant. Even though there is a charge for the food, 1) more than a 5 minute wait with hungry kids seems like forever, 2) the menu has 3 choices, Okay, 3) Crumbs were not cleaned off before seating us, 4) one coffee was served, the rest of us sat with nothing, 4) after 20minutes we got our bags and went to McDonalds. We tried to book at Hotel Website, then called hotel and got reservation desk, didn't reserve in order to check around. Found better price for same hotel on "Hotels.com" so booked there. The staff checking us in was "cold". Room was clean and comfortable, but lacked towels for all of us. Indoor Pool seemed cold for me and lacked enough towels for visitors, and when notifying front desk he couldn't understand what I was telling him because he wanted my room number first. At checkout I felt as if the staff could care less if they said boo to me much less "How was your Stay" like every other place I've stayed, even in any out of the way motel. Never had such an experience before and hope never again.
