The house was very spacious and comfortable, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, which we really appreciated. However, there were several areas that could use improvement.First, upon entering the house, there was a noticeable odor that required us to spray air fresheners throughout and purchase scented products to make the space more pleasant. The overall cleanliness also left much to be desired. Many of the appliances were not properly cleaned, and we had to rewash and sanitize several items ourselves.Additionally, basic supplies like garbage bags were not provided, which was inconvenient. When we realized there was no hair dryer, I reached out to the owner, who kindly provided one—however, it turned out to be her daughter’s personal hair brush dryer, which was used, had a strong odor, and still had hair in it. Unfortunately, the dryer was also broken, and when I followed up with the owner, no alternative solution was offered.Lastly, we were not informed that the caretaker's family lived in the basement. After they assumed we had left for our trips, their children began playing in the backyard, which felt intrusive and unexpected.While the house had great potential and met our space needs, these issues impacted the overall experience.
