you can see the below photos and judge by yourself, the reception is good, toilets are very bad in the rooms , very bad experience and too old furnature, food is moderate and rooms not clean , i think i will not have my accomidation there again.

I was nearly electrocuted! They had wires spliced together in my room and I didn't notice and tried to plug the kettle in. Shock through both hands and up through my arms. Asked me why I would use the plug if I knew the wiring was bad. How would a customer know the wiring is bad? Offered me a free lunch once I said we were traveling to Giza. Lunch was 3 hours later. An insult really! Also booked a city tour through the hotel and was given a guy who spoke absolutely no English and didn't know the city. Our pickup was at 9am to go to the National Museum. After stopping many people and taxis and showing him in Arabic, we arrived almost 4 hours later. The consierge said "I didn't promise you and English guide!"

I stayed in the hotel twice in March 2018 and many times in the past. As usual, I received a friendly treatment from the staff, an extra large room, excellent services, and a great value for money. My stays in Pyramisa goes back to the mid 1990s, so I consider myself very familiar with the hotel (facilities, services, and staff) as well as its main competitors. For brevity, however, I will focus on the main pros and cons. On the positive side, Pyramisa definitely offers the best bang for the buck for a five-star hotel in Cairo. In addition, its staff is very friendly, professional, and will take the extra mile to make your stay more convenient. Good example of staff who carry these qualities include duty managers: Tariq, Wafa, and Yousri; receptionists: Azza, Abdulrahman, Hani, Michael, and Faris; waiters: Tariq, Osama, and Shawqi; concierge: Muhammad, Ismael, Tariq, and Abdulnabi; security: Mustafa and Muhammad. On the other side, the hotel’s elevators happened to fail frequently, so their maintenance needs to be taken more seriously. Also, the rooms’ keys need to be upgraded, so if a guest lost the key or forgot it in the room, she/he could be simply provided by a replacement key-- instead of being accompanied by a duty manager to open the room with the master key. That said, the positives far outweigh negatives and, God willing, I will stay there during my next visit to Cairo.

Dear travellers, The comments of traveller01274 dated 16 January 2018 is none but true and I only have coupe of points to add as I stayed in this hotel 15 DAYS and had time to judge it on a longer scale: Negative points: - There is no toilet brush, so for those who have the habit of cleaning their mess after they did it.. no possibility here - There is a water spray in the toilet for purpose of cleaning your intimate parts as it is generally the case in Middle Eastern countries - Cleaning of the rooms: only beds are made and spraying some perfumes to feeling good spirit. So don't expect too much - Breakfast: the WORST EVER at the Chateau, so called French cuisine... Not a valuable piece of food. Never organised and always something was missing on the tables (spoon, napkin, cup, etc) Everything was too sweet, tasteless, odorless, no choice in fruits, only poor quality pastries, starch bread, no choice in hot beverages, misery included in my booking.. - Staff: it is an international hotel but only few staff members speak English - Wifi : it works depending where you are located and tends to disconnect itself quite often. Take it or leave it. This is like that.. - Theft : Better to be very careful and not leave unattended belongings even for 1 minutes. - Clientele: a bit of everything but mainly Middle Eastern men - Quality : 5 stars do not mean anything but the price you pay so look as to to what is important to you and you might find that a 3* is better than a 5* chain, especially when located abroad. But of course 5* have bigger rooms and gym and swimming pools and concierge and but it all depends on one needs.. Positive points: - Gym facilities are nice and tidy but rarely use

Pyramisa hotel is located in a good location with picturesque and modern interior design in its most areas. Their staffs are very kind and friendly which I think is the best advantage of the hotel. They are so helpful and polite. In the other side hotel facilities including its breakfast buffet are good enough to meet your expectations of a comfortable stay. Also you can enjoy Egyptian live music with your dinner in one of its lounges (with an extra charge on your bill which was well deserved for us). There are some shops, travel agent and other services in hotel to help you find your necessary staff and answer some of your needs. There are two swimming pools in hotel which neither of them are heated and also you can enjoy its spa facility which is excluded from room rate. This hotel is money worthy depend on your choice of room. Hope you enjoy your stay as we did.

I visited the hotel twice this month with my friends and we really left with great memories! The hotel is situated in the center of Cairo and is very nice although old at some parts. Staff is really helpful but some people do not speak English so you need to use your hands :) Many credits to this sweet lady in the reception (Adda?) that took the best care of us. She was exceptional, professional and amazing! Well done!

Very nice hotel , with a marvelous view over the Nile river , me and a friend stayed in a suite, very suitable for families with two separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a very spacious reception like a living room, and a separate big dressing room , the hotel features a parking lot with a 100 l.e per night which is relatively low comparing to other five stars hotel , it’s location is brilliant considering you would only need to cross a small bridge to be in Cairo, opera house then downtown os at a walking distance, the later would take you around 15 minuets walk , Giza pyramids are around 10 miles away , busy mohamdsin are is 10 minutes away , the place has a good functioning free WiFi , couldn’t get any better, specially with the relatively cheap price comparing to other five stars hotels near by

Who ever reviewed this hotel as the best five star hotel in Cairo obviously has not ever stayed in a five star hotel! This is anything but five stars. First the positives; The location is well placed, that front office staff, Porters and staff in general are very friendly. The entrance foyer appears to be quite grand and large. The negatives; The hotel advertises non smoking rooms, i think this is only in theory as i requested a non smoking room but had to change twice due to the pungent smell of my " non smoking" room The law is that all public areas should be non smoking but this is not applied and the hotels do not even attempt to apply this. My non smoking room had ashtrays both in the room and in the bathroom?? how can this be a non smoking room?? The hotel is named the Pyramisa suites hotel. The rooms are NOT suites but regular hotel rooms!. They are old, poorly maintained and very tired and dirty. the Housekeeping department really does need a lot of training. The carpet in my room although"non smoking" was full of cigarette burns, the furniture was in a very poor condition. the bed sheets were not big enough to tuck in. the curtains were faded and not clean. the beds are old and in general the rooms are grimy and un cared for!! It did have a good supply of hot water and at a good pressure. The breakfast looks good when you enter the room and is adequate. but to get a hot drink took me 20 minutes, i asked for a coffee and the waiter put hot milk in my cup and then forgot to come back to add the coffee. Again the staff need training as this is not their fault but the fault of the hotels management !!. The public areas are also not very clean, the tables in the foyer area that have glass tops are not removed for cleaning and so there is dirt and grime all along the glass edges and sides. The sofas have marks on them and again are old. The hotel has predominantly large numbers of clients from the Gulf region who are the main people that smoke everywhere. The reception area is full of ashtrays and the whole area is full of people smoking. If you are a non smoker then do not go to this hotel!! This hotel has the potential be a very pleasant place to stay but the hotel needs to be courageous and stop the smoking or at least be true to non smoking rooms and impose a fine if clients do smoke in these rooms as is normal in hotels around the world. The hotel management really do need to get on top of training the housekeeping department as this is one of the main areas that the hotel fall down on.

the best Thing in this Hotel is the friendly staff in general and Mr tarek Mousad the duty manager he facilitate every thing for me to to have a fantastic Stay in this hotel even the Hotel need some renovation but the location and the staff was the best thing In the Hotel Breakfast was amazing with different varities Thanks Pyramisa ,Thanks Staff and Thanks Mr Tarek Sameh Sewilam
