We were very happy with our accommodations. The room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast was a highlight. The location was good for us, and a nice view. The cafe upstairs had good food at reasonable prices based on US standards. The staff was good. Only problem was the check in process was very slow, but no big deal.f
I had a city view room which had a really nice view of the Cairo Tower. The room was nice except for the weak water pressure from the shower- something another reviewer mentioned. The restaurant downstairs is nice. The food was good and it was a nice refuge from the bustling (and often scam-filled) city scene. Also like someone else mentioned, if you want snacks or drinks, go to the guy around the corner (exit hotel, go left to end of block). He sold me three bottled drinks and two bags of chips for 12EGP pounds! The location of this hotel is hard to beat. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Cairo Museum and about 5 minutes to the Tower. One word of caution though- the scammer taxi drivers will try to pull this one on you AFTER negotiating the fare and driving off: You said Novatel Airport, right? Pretending like they confused the Novatel by the airport with the one downtown, they'll then double your previously agreed upon price. So make darn sure you are both on the same page BEFORE you let them even touch you luggage. Write it down and hand it to them if you have to. And don’t fall for the 60p vs. $60 confusion either. Last time I checked, Egypt still had their own currency!
Wonderful staff who were very accommodating and patient with guests from another country. Highly recommend based on price and location in Cairo. Downside... if you want to extend your stay, you have to book it on the computer instead of in person at the desk, it was sort of inconvenient. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and very clean. All staff was friendly and very helpful. Not to mention the amazing view from the room and rooftop!
This place is well located, the room are clean and the staff are good with the exception of the Travel Agency, though that is a franchise anyway and not directly employed by the hotel.
Good 4-star value for money. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Everything works. The gym and the pool are not big, but sufficient for a little relaxation. Only gripe was quality of breakfast, all rather run-of-the-mill. Well situated 300 metres from metro.
