Novotel Cairo Airport

Recent guest reviews

Hotel is close to airport, problem is that the shuttle they offer is useless. Shuttle never goes through arrivals so it never picks people up from the airport. Only good from hotel to airport. Breakfast was good, room was good. Now, they rent pool area for parties and they make a lot of noise, like the night we stayed they had a wedding with very loud music until midnight.

I was here briefly in transit, so not too much to add. The room is excellent, with nice amenities and some of the best wi-fi on my trip. The shuttle service is also prompt, fast, and exactly what you need to get to and through Cairo Airport.

Free shuttle and proximity to the airport served the purpose of on night transit stay. After smooth pickup (big value considering the hustle associated with Cairo Airport), I checked in to the hotel. It was after 2am and there was only one person behind the desk, checkin was quick and I was pointed to the lobby door as the way to my room (no one to help with the luggage) I went outside and was left to be guided by my instinct as there were no signes for the rooms or elevator. Finally found elevator and my room, in the most remote part of the hotel (even though hardly anyone stayed there) only to realize AC is not working, was not entirely sure of my bed sheets werent used before... too tired I opened the window and went to sleep only to wake up with bite marks on my arm. The good thing was that the Hotel allowed me to check out at 6pm for my 9pm flight. I always stayed at Le Meridien but this time I wanted to check this location as it was 4 times cheaper. Overall I survived but wasn't able to do any work as the wifi there is useless. If you looking for a transit hotel on the budget this may be it but there are few more options nearby worth checking out.

The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The shuttle was also running on time every 30 minutes. I was overall quite pleased with this hotel and would recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel close to airport. Also has swimming and gym.

Excellent hotel, very close to airport terminals , very clean, food is ok

This was the perfect place for me to sleep after my tour in Cairo. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the newest section of the hotel ( Numbers 1000's thru 3000's rooms ) Great pool and wonderful full breakfast) and a shuttle the runs every half and hour to the airport.

I only stayed here one night to catch some rest before a connecting flight the next morning. While the hotel is very close to the airport, it is not really walkable from the terminal. I took a cab and probably overpaid for it but it’s all relative as it was the U.S. equivalent of ~$5. Cleanliness was average. I couldn’t find the TV remote which wasn’t a big deal since I was only staying for one night and wanted to sleep anyway. Staff/front desk efficiency at check-in and check-out was about average. The pool and grounds are quite nice from what I saw. All in all, if I had to do it all over again I would probably stay there for a layover.

In view of the present curfew in Egypt, this is a perfect place to stay to avoid driving during the curfew or even driving at normal hours after a long and tiring trip, like the one I had from San Francisco. The reception was very helpful, the room was immediately available and clean, the check-out was seamless. It was all a nice rest after a long trip.

The rooms were good and spacious. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Novotel was an easy, comfortable, and not too expensive place to stay. It is very convenient for someone who is looking for a place to stay the night before an early flight out, for example, though it is not very close to Cairo itself. The staff were very helpful, welcoming, and accomodating. Be prepared to pay an extra fee for your room when you arrive (I believe for my stay it was somewhere between 50-80 guineas, which is not very much in dollars) if you book online. The hotel is beautiful and the beds are extremely comfortable. The showers are great. At night they have concert performances and music downstairs. The hotel is very close to the airport; literally it is only one minute to get there, and there is an airport shuttle that runs every half hour 24/7. I felt the driver was very knowledgeable about the airport. On the particular day that I took the shuttle to the airport it was very busy, with long lines outside the departure hall, so the driver told us a faster way to get to the departure hall through the arrival hall! Since there really are no shops nearby, as Novotel Cairo Airport is located outside of Cairo, the only place to buy food is in the restaurant, which unsurprisingly is rather expensive (at least compared to regular food prices in Egypt). However the meals are large and I ended up boxing mine and saving it for another meal! The rooms do not have refrigerators or microwaves. Overall I had a very comfortable stay!

Hotel staffs are very kind and helpful. Near to the airport and getaway point. Facilities are very good. Shuttle service provided by the hotel is excellent. Strongly recommended for those who plan to transit and visit Cairo for couple of days. Value for money.

A basic 3 star convenient to Cairo Airport for early morning flights. The hotel can use a good remodeling job, including the rooms, and improve its buffet dinner. The rate is high for similar hotels in the area. The free internet was a plus.

It is easy to aceess from airport. Kind staff and good Breakfast. It was a good choice.

Waited for services for long time. Promissed to get in-room services but I was ignored and never got the service. Waited for food from resturant for long time and I had to ask for it 3 times.

Check in staff were not the most friendly. Seem to have poor regard for females, but perhaps this is cultural, though annoying. The man ignored me and served /talked with others (men) while he was eventually attending to me

Stayed one night only but it was clean , quiet and lovely.

I was staying with a friend of mine and most of the time we were taking tours about the city . So we used the hotel just to spend the night and to take shower. And for such occasions this is a good place. It is neat, with a pool to refresh yourself after the hot day and easy to get to any part of Cairo. But if you want to have a long term vocations it's better to stay in the hotel with more facilities.

it is not bad

I spent one night at Novotel hotel close to Cairo International Airport, and their service were convenient to my needs, and i shall return again and book same hotel for similer trips. k
