Novotel Cairo 6th Of October4.0 out of 5.0

I recently stayed at Novotel 6th of October and my experience was amazing. The hotel offers good value for money. Fortunately I was given a room with pool side view which made my stay very pleasant. The staff was courteous and services good. The only issue I faced was regarding the hotel car usage, our driver couldn't understand English and communication became an issue. And as the hotel is pretty much away from the city centre we had to travel at least for an hour to reach the main city. Apart from that the place was quite peaceful and picturesque!
Hotels is generally good. Room is very well equipped as well as bathroom. Excellent and fast WiFi for business. If you are staying for business, then , wedding parties might not be convenient if staying in a swimming pool view room.Breakfast is good.
we were staying here for 3 nights before moving to the red sea area. we arrived very late after our flight to uk so were tired. I had prepaid and my booking clearly said nothing to pay, but the hotel advised me they did not have the money so I had no choice but to pay again which I was not happy about but it was very late and I didn't have a choice. for the hassle they said they would upgrade us to a family room, not sure how my original room would have been but this room was large and clean and was great. the beds were firm but comfy and the bathroom was modern but very hard not to flood with the tiny glass screen by the shower cubicle. the breakfast buffet was ok, did the job. I found all the staff at reception very helpful, they answered all the touristy questions about how to get around and idea of prices etc. the only thing that I didn't find impressive was the fact that they advertised that they did currency exchange and twice I asked and twice they said no we haven't got any money so I had to wait till they eventually had some later in the day. not helpful at all. the hotel is in quite a newly developed area apparently and was quite modern. its opposite a large mall, mall of arabia which we went to for the food court one night, though we found it very hard crossing 4 lanes of traffic to get to it!! would I stay again, yes though it is a fair distance from the airport and into town, but taxis are cheap so no problem.
Very nice place , quiet and clean Rooms quality is excellent Staff are more than proffesional specially recieption staff Food is great Hotel isvery near to Mall of arabia (which contains food court , kids places & cinemas
Stayed in October 2016 and requested for a non-smoking room. Was informed that the non-smoking room is sold out so only smoking option is available. Tried 4-5 rooms and most of them were so full of smoke that couldn't consider sleeping in there. Finally got an option where slept with window open and door ajar to keep air flowing. If you are staying strongly suggest to confirm non-smoking room (if a non-smoker). The facilities are decent, there is an on site gym. Location is good to visit Oct 6th.
Excellent facilities, very comfortable, excellent security and very well appointed. It is however out of the main city of Cairo ..I like being there on TEData training day . It's quite, At the center of October city. What a great place.
They made my 1st visit ti Cairo very nice and remarkable .. Couldn't find a single negative point on them Couldn't find anything missing , spa , massage , gym , pool , restaurant , cafe , green spaces , close to the mall ..etc .... everything by the mean of the word The staff is very polite and friendly and professional .. they didn't put their smile out of their faces Thank you Novotel 6th October .. my warm regards Hey guys .. I forgot to tell u to try it , believe me it is very worthy
The hotel is very very clean. The beds are comfy. The swimming pool is wide and amusing. The hotel is kids friendly. The breakfast buffet is very delicious and full of varieties. The location of the hotel is good near mall of Arabia and the Pyramids of Giza (25KM). The streets outside the hotel are quiet.
My second time staying at this Novotel, with customers close by in 6th October area. Even at 2 am the hotel is more than an hour from the airport, and although situated less than 10k from the pyramids, that's a long way in Cairo traffic. Located near the Mall of Arabia (15 Egyptian by Uber) there is some nearby shopping and eating which can be easily reached. The stay was acceptable, except again I encountered the same problem as before that I was forced to pay for my room in full at check in, instead of blocking my card (so additional credit card charges for using the bar). After discussing this with the helpful guest relations lady I was assured this wasn't policy, some staff training with hotel policy is required? Breakfast was pretty good, hot food, freshly cooked omelettes, pancakes and waffles, as well as fruit, cereals freshly squeezed orange juice, and many other choices. The room was clean and tidy, hot drink making facilities. No ironing board but a quick phone call and one was delivered to my room in just a few minutes - problem was it leaked water when filled - so another call and a replacement iron was brought. If the hotel could sort the check in process the stay would have been 4 star rating.
Excellent facilities, very comfortable, excellent security and very well appointed. It is however out of the main city of Cairo and it is a good hour on a quiet day to get to and from the airport. It may not be ideally placed for some if the sights but getting around by taxi is easy if no5 a bit hair raising . The breakfasts are superb and you can get a meal 24 hours a day.
