1) Poor room lighting 2) No room heating in the cold of December 3) Incompetent non english speaking staff 4) Hardly any room service. Even drinking water is not complimentry 5) Too many mosquitoes! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cairo!
First of all the hotel needs full renovation in every room. The air condition unit in the room blows out air that's not hot nor cold. Hotel staff are not the brightest to be honest. We were woken up by knocks on the door for room service before 9am which is quite aggravating. The room telephone also didnt work and the bathroom amendities were not much, 2 towels and not even a bar of soap. The breakfast is alright but I should be able to eat without worrying if my food is going to be swiped up by the bus boy.
When I visited cataract I was shocked at first when I saw the surroundings .. semi-rural area not pleasant to the eyes but inside the story was different .. very nice resort with moderate rooms and very large pool .. the food is average but eatable .. the staff is friendly .. the resort is alittle bit out of date , it looks like 5 stars hotels in the 90s .. but it has the best value for money between the hotels in this area .. the resort is very near to the Ring road .. which is a major advantage for me also .. there is no activities in resort at night except sitting in la pergula cafe and listening to the local singer .. generally I was stasified with my experience there
Let's start with the good. The hotel has a decent breakfast selection and the service is ok. The employees are eager to help and do what they can to make you happy. The pool area is also ok. This is not enough considering that the rooms are really bad. There was mold, dust and insects in my room. My room and everywhere else in the hotel smelled like a damn ashtray! The entire place is old and needs to to be renovated. I would not stay here again and I wouldn't advise anyone to do so either. Don't let the pictures of the pool areas fool you. That's what tricked me.
We called to know rooms’ pricelist but when reaching hotel next day we were surprised that pricelist was different however we booked a room half board. At dinner time that was supposed to be from 7 to 10 pm open buffet as instructed by reception but there wasnt any and we were notified that dinner today for now will be at burgola for snacks and open buffet will start at 9 pm. We went to the reception who still didnt know this info. We met Mr haitham kitchen manager in the hotel who tried to calm us down while we wanted to check out as this was second we were misguided and finally Mr joseph hotel manager who appologized for mistake. At 9 pm while we were going to dinner , staff still didnt know that dinner was still for hotel guests but was for special party members only. We succeeded to have dinner at last. Room was not very clean, bathroom was disasterous and both of them were full of mosquitos that we werent able to sleep. Only good thing was food at dinner and breakfast. The pool was clean and landsscape is also good Finally we were happy to check out but we dont recommond it.
The hotel room is not that great. But the resort is very nice, they have a very huge pool. The breakfast is very bad. The service was poor and the rooms aren't that great as it was in the photo. I requested for a large bed but what they provided us was twin bed put together covered with large bed sheet. So whenever you sleep, you can feel the gap in the middle. Overall, if you have plans of staying in Egypt, much better you choose a 5 star hotel even though you would pay a bit more. Never rely to any 4 star hotels.
disadvantages very Poor service in the check in, reservation and pool.no one smiles. Very slow check in process Very old rooms and needs maintenance The check in lady gave us a very bad room claiming it's a pool view and it was not. We had to request change to the rooms to get a better one also still very bad and old. Very expensive in comparison to quality. Not even one bottle of water or a tea bag with a boiler in the room or even at dinner. We had to pay for it 5 times its original price. No system. No flow of coordination or communication between the pool managers and the reservation. It was one night and a day use and it was such a hassle trying to convince the people at the pool that we didn't check out and we need our day use meal. They said they will bring it and they didn't because it might be deduced from their salaries. Advantages Food is good but with no variety. No water again in the restaurant which is ridiculous. Very good pool view. Big pool. Relaxing scenery People at the restaurant are helpful and friendly.
It was my first visit to this hotel,it is a big one but old the rooms need new adjustment the pool is not that clean peoples are swimming with there clothes on and no one stope them the room had no bar no cattle no well come water or daily supply you have to bring from out side the restaurant food was basic I was half board no drinks or water with the food you have to pay for it.serving food by pieces not a true open buffet. The reception area is old it is a 3 star hotel not a 5 one as they told.
The service is very bad from I arrived to out the room not good all the day the air condition not working and also the reception not handle any thing the hotel is bad Quilty and the engineering not working please make system in the hotel and when I make checking out I waiting an a hour how come really I'm so sad
The resorts itself with option re very nice in Giza, Egypt. It has everything you need, largest pool, food opens til 11pm, spa, good quality taxi service re always ready for us. The guy works in gift shop (Moha Ezzah) are amazing guy as he sure give us a great deals on souvenirs after I I bought a lot of Egypt necklace with my families/friends names on it in Egypt alphabetical. He then show us the many good places such as real good food locations and tourist area. The hookah cafe is very next to the resort. The only poor service is no wifi in our rooms, even have to use in the lobby but still poor networks due too many re at lobby, that's why I put it as a 4 stars. But it's good to have myself social in the lobby such as happen to watch the Egypt film team doing the filming projects right there! (I'm a film producer as well!) 😉🎥👍
