Convenient location

Staff was super friendly, especially Anis was very helpful and he became our go to when we needed help or had questions. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the dining area was nice to eat at or read away from the room. Concerns were: wifi was slow and inconsistent. The bathroom shower released a gassy/sewage smell. This was alleviated with a shower drain cover that the hotel already had in place (removed for showering) and keeping the bathroom door closed. The street the hotel is on is closed and has no car access, so this posed challenges with Uber pickups. Otherwise, the hotel was fine and very central to eateries, shops, and the museum.

Pros: 1) Friendly Staff - front desk manager Khalid and Amal were friendly and accommodating. 2) Location - middle of downtown, close to most of the tourist attractions like museum, nile, Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo, Giza. 3) Affordability - cheap compared to a lot of other expensive options out there, plus includes breakfast. Cons: 1) Smoking - despite being a non smoking hotel and a sign in the reception area that states "Thank you for not smoking", multiple staffs were smoking right outside the reception door through out the day. As a result the hallways and the room had smoke fumes. 2) Accessibility - the building has a functioning elevator, however it does not stop on the hotel floor (floor 2). When we first arrived, we asked at the front desk about the elevator and was told it is working, however, the gentleman that works downstair said it doesn't stop on the hotel floor. As a result, we to carry large luggage up to roughly 3 fights of stairs. 3) Shower drain in the bathroom - shower drain was clogged, water drained extremely slowly. We let the front desk know about it, they said they would clean it, but it was still clogged. Next time I brought someone into the bathroom and showed them, they said would clean it. I checked later and it was still clogged. I didn't bother trying to ask them again. I would still recommend this hotel to budget traveler, it is worth what you pay for, don't expect too much

The property is very clean, room, restroom. The staff is amazing . Excelente tours at a good price. Every one is very friendly and treat you like family. Special thanks to Jaber, Front desk always very helpful and going the extra mile for my safety. Said is a very good manager always alert on what is going on special thanks to all the crew Noora, Mohamed, Khaled. Location of the property is the best of downtown walking distance to everywhere. Price of the hotel is very affordable. All in all staff made me feel like home and family. I would always recommend this hotel. Thanks, Tomas.

Dear Anonymous , Thank you very much for taking from your time to write about us :) . We also thank you very much for your kind words about our staff . and about our hotel . About the Cons you have mentioned , we are very sorry if your accommodation was not the perfect one , but we would like to clear some points you mentioned , for the smoking , our hotel is NON smoking hotel , is not allowed anywhere in the hotel , not in the rooms or reception . But because we do have some customers who are smokers , so they use the space in front of the hotel to smoke , but still way outside the hotel . and also we will check once again if it affect the hotel anyhow . For the elevator , we mentioned it on our Expedia page , that our hotel is not accessible with elevator as we are in the first floor which no need for it . for the room clean and the shower drain , we have housekeeping daily , but our staff are not allowed to enter the rooms without you putting the sign ( Pls clean the room ) on your door . other than this we can not get into your room while you are not there . Also we will keep doing our best to be more clear and forbid this to happen again :)
