We booked a 3 bedroom apartment, primarily for the proximity to the convention centre we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment and the facilities. Easy walk to the restaurants on the Esplanade and CBD

We stayed here for the PCA conference and didn’t enjoy it all that much. On the positive side - it was fabulously close to the conference centre and had a tiny “kitchen” (ie toaster, microwave, plates) which we made good use of. BUT For $200 a night booked months in advance I’d expect something better. The room was tired and old and had no view (on the second floor). The balcony - looking at a wall - was so small that it was uncomfortable for one, let alone two. The $1.50 per item storage for luggage at the end of our trip really annoyed me too! Not a quality hotel for a business trip.

Modern and close to city centre and amenities. That’s the good part Room not ready at 2pm Came back at 5pm room not cleaned properly. Previous guest body hair in shower and the smell from food cooked that morning or previous day was strong. Staff not very helpful although we were offered a change of rooms but we had to be showered and changed within the hour. In a deep sleep at around 2:30am someone tried to get into our room using the wrong key as well as banging the room. Knew it was next door as they have a stupid two door entrance system. Better places for a similar price. Think twice!!

The rooms are a good size and clean. Nice big bathroom and shower and a nice small balcony. No restaurant but they offer small grab and go breakfasts for $10. Easy access and close to Esplanade. Good value for the quality.

Well situated comfortable hotel within walking distance from the pier. Reasonable rates, good bed, nice and quiet. Right in CBD with restaurants, shopping and attractions nearby. Suits people using Cairns as a platform to the Great Barrier Reef. I wish I wasn't just stopping by on business...

Nothing amazing about the rooms or the views but good location and friendly staff. We were able to check in after hours and were just down the road from a really good breakfast place called the lily pad cafe....Get there if you can!

Found this hotel to be priced at the right amount for what you get. You are in a great location, within minutes to the harbour & the centre of town. Found the hotel itself in need of a little revamp, but still had all the amenities you require. Nice touch with the small pool on the roof, always helps cool down in that Cairns weather! Found the staff to be helpful regarding getting taxis and helping with a late checkout. Would book again.

Very poor service from staff. It was a hassle to even get a car park at the hotel (nice way to frustrate your customers when you advertise 'free parking' on your website). We were told that there were no car spaces available but once we questioned this and expressed the inconvenience that this had for us they managed to find a spare secure car park 1 which by the way we found out that there were plenty of free spots....soooo.... Getting to the car park and getting to our room was a mess because we were given incorrect information and we had to ring reception 2 times from our mobile phone. The "roof top pool" is an absolute joke. Untidy hall ways - shopping trolley was left in the hall way on our floor!?!? Stains everywhere in the carpet, walls and roof. Great way to present yourselves guys! Very basic and poor rooms. Bed was uncomfortable. Overpriced rooms for what you get. Might as well go to a caravan park - would have cut our costs down substantially and at least we would have known what we were getting. I've stayed at the Park Regis in Sydney CBD a couple of times before and was happy with my stay there but the Cairns hotel was an absolute shock. The only good thing was the location. Never coming here again.

Stayed here for an international conference. Room was great, clean and bed very comfy. Like rest of the reviews it is the staff attitude that lets it down. You rarely even get acknowledged when you walk through the door indeed staff don't even look up from the computer. Enquiring about access to my room by window cleaners and if staff would accompany them, I got three different answers from three staff all standing together and made to feel like an idiot for asking. Generally the young staff are okay but the older lady looks as bough she would rather be anywhere else but there. All in al a good location to access foreshore and shops etc. close to supermarket to hit breakfast goodies as there is nothing supplied.

Nice small hotel with suites and self contained rooms. From the street the building is almost hidden, but we checked this site and found it quickly. The reception area is small but the the room was nice, with a great little balcony, it was clean and with Pay TV. It was right in the heart of the CBD area and next door to the casino, you can walk all over town once you're here. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was free wi-fi and a pool on level 7. A really great place for the price
