We stayed here as a family of 4 adults in 3 rooms. They were all very clean with comfortable beds. Each had different decorations to make it an interesting experience. The staff were extremely happy and helpful. Breakfast as good as any we have had. The communal spaces have great artwork to look at and lounge has lots of books to browse through. Thank you for a great nights stay.
My wife and I stand at this lovely hotel. The hotel is on the 3rd floor and accessed by a small 2 man lift which once checked in you are given a key for. All along the front are rows of cafe / restaurants were you can have a glass or wine or a coffee. We ate Ristorante 75 which was excellent. The hotel is clean and very comfortable and our room was large with high ceilings and interesting and eclectic furniture and a wonderful bathroom. Importantly as the temperatures were high the air conditioning was powerful but quiet. Breakfast was served in a lovely room overlooking the front with a great selection of Italian cakes and pastries as well as the normal meats, breads, fresh fruit and yogurt. The breakfast room is small and again full of quirky ceramics and pictures. It was a little cramped when there were many people at breakfast, but as there are only 11 rooms and this only happened once which all added to its charm. Fresh coffee and tea is served by the attending waiter who was helpful and friendly. All the staff were excellent, most of the staffs English is good but not great (which is much better than my Italian which is poor to non existent) but they could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They were quick to help with directions and recommendations when asked but also happy to give peace and remain in the background if not needed. The hotel also organised a tour of Cagliari and the surrounding beach area on an scooter with Claudio which was fantastic
Stayed here v recently & really enjoyed it. The previous review that gave the Miramare one star simply is not accurate in any way. The staff are polite, pleasant & attentive, not arrogant in any way. The decor is quirky, using local artists to decorate the rooms & ours was funny & enjoyable. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh fruit & pastries, we've enjoyed them every day. The only quibble we had was the wifi. It can be a bit patchy, but you don't choose a hotel on the wifi signal, do you?
Our room was dirty, noisy, and unattractive. And to make matters worse, the staff were rather pretentious, as though they were working in a grand hotel rather than a dive on the harbour. Breakfast was mediocre, hospitality was minimum, and the decor is sort of Cage aux Folles. So in a word, Don't!
A boutique hotel opposite the Port of Cagliari in a handy location to explore this historic place. The hotel is situated on the third floor of the building, reached via a tiny lift that reminds of a 1930's film. In fact the entire hotel is steeped in this delightfully eccentric style with colour, style and some challenging artwork which adorns the walls. The staff are attentive and helpful. Whilst only a wonderful breakfast is served in the hotel dining room (as well as the magical garden room)we were recommended some excellent restaurants and none was less than first class. Everything of interest in Cagliari is within walking distance of the Miramare. An unforgettable experience.
We booked this hotel after seeing the good reviews and must admit we wasnt dissappointed. On arrival I did wonder what we had booked into but we were made very welcome and soon realised we had made a great choice. On arrival we were told that there was a problem with our room and they had to put us into a smaller room for the first night but they were going to upgrade us the next day to a seaview room. The first room was lovely although no view but that didnt matter , It was clean and comfortable. The next day when we were taken to our upgrade it was amazing , very large with amazing views and a small balcony. The staff were brilliant , extremely helpful, and polite. I always loved the way that whenever we arrived back they would always stand up to greet us. Location of hotel perfect for location near to bus station and train station. Lots of bars nearby. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in cagliari.
The entrance is odd with a tiny lift needing a key, Once you master that then it is fine. The decor is wonderfully eccentric- great use of colours. The staff are charming and attentive. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the harbour and we liked it very much. The shower could have benefited from a proper shower door rather than a plastic curtain but overall we really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. They advised a restaurant for the evening and it was great - local and full of fun . Worth a visit
Came here for the first stop on our Honeymoon and we could not have chosen a nicer place with friendlier staff. Was definitely the highlight of all the places we stayed in Sardinia. The room was spectacular, with nice views of the sea, a small internal outside area and even a vintage record player with some working Billie Holliday records. Definitely what we had in mind when we chose somewhere boutique.
This boutique hotel is charming and perfectly located, facing the harbor and minutes away from the historic center. The room was creatively decorated and very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice. I would heartily recommend this place.
Miramare is a super hotel - great interior decoration, very friendly and welcoming staff (including welcome drink), stylish rooms (we were upgraded to a view of the marina) and perfect location for restaurants on the doorstep and exploring the old town. We only stayed 1 night but if we come back to Cagliari we will definitely stay at Miramare again.
