This hotel has a fantastic location close to the marina, and only a 10 minute stroll to the Spanish/Gibraltar border, the room was large and clean and very reasonably priced, the food at breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, the staff are friendly and helpful, I will be staying here again on my future trips and would recommend this hotel to others.

This was the fourth time that my wife and I have stayed here. The rooms are large, clean and with comfortable super kingsize beds. It is only 6 minutes walk to the border and a further 15 mins to Casemates or Ocean Village. We find it so convenient and coupled with the proximity of the airport, things are just so easy. The breakfasts have a good choice. The food is not of the highest quality but if you choose carefully there is plenty to suit everyone. Would recommend to people who are fit enough to walk into Gib.

After tripping around the area and staying in many other places up and down the coast, this was by far the worst stay. As soon as we arrived "Hamid" the receptionist was doing some paperwork as I assume it was a quiet time. I greeted him and he responded with a big sigh and a very ruse reception. After asking us for our passports, I didnt quite hear what he said and asked him to repeat himself, at which he rolled his eyes and handed me the keycard. no thanks other words exchanged. After being quite surprised at such a rude greeting i turned around where the next customer was greeted with a "hello sir" I can only assume as he was an older gentleman. On checking out of the hotel "Juan" was seeing to another customer regarding a booking which took 20 minutes to sort out. During which another staff member just wondered in out of of the reception desk. All we wanted was our bags which were in the luggage hold. The rooms were very noisy and i could hear sneezing all night and banging from various rooms above and below me. The view was also of the beautiful oil refinery opposite. Room also smelled of cigarettes. Would avoid at all costs. The staff were the biggest disappointment.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a night whilst travelling between Malaga and Gibraltar. The location of the hotel was great as it is a five minute walk to the Gibraltar border, unfortunately this is about the only positive. I'm not sure how this hotel has managed to hold onto its 4 star rating. The room was spacious but basic, no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom just hand soap in the shower. The room was cold and the heating did not work. We were not expecting an outstanding hotel however we stayed in other 3 star hotels on our trip that were far superior to Ohotel Campo de Gibraltar. Probably our biggest complaint of this hotel was the reception staff, they were rude and unhelpful. On arrival the man behind the desk was rolling his eyes and tutting whilst checking us in. On leaving we waited 20 minutes to ask to leave our bags in their bag store room and the man behind the desk hesitantly agreed. My boyfriend speaks fluent Spanish so there was no language barrier during any of these interactions. A basic hotel we could accept but the unfriendly staff on front desk means we won't be back.

Great hotel if you are wanting to visit Gibraltar which is within a 5 minute walk. This is a budget hotel and fairly priced. The room was large and spacious with large balcony with views over to Gibraltar. I wasn´t planning to spend much time at the hotel, but it had a nice pool area and bar. If I am being picky, I can only fault that the tea-coffee facilities in the room. We are a family of 3 and there were only 3 cardboard coffee cups and one sachet of coffee and no spoons. I asked the maid for more coffee, milk and a spoon which she provided minus the spoon.... The breakfast selection was very good but cold. Overall I would recommend this hotel if I was on a budget and wanting to visit Gibraltar.

After a day in Gibraltar all we wanted to do was get to the pre booked hotel and rest. We put the address that appeared on the booking in one navigation app and it brought us to an apartment building. We tried another navigation app and the result was the same. We tried to call the phone number on the booking mail and got to an answering service that had a recorded reply. Just before deciding that we were ripped off we asked neighbors and they suggested cruising along the street because "there was a hotel, maybe a street or two down the road." The desk guy said that people away from their home tend not to find places. We were two and he insisted that only one key card was enugh. The room is not small but a bit smelly. The linen seemed clean but spartan, Not a great experience.

This is your budget hotel, so don't expect much in the way of extras. The rooms are large but austere, the hotel remained me of a dormitory. The beds and pillows not so comfortable, but your not paying for luxury. The restaurant is more like a cafeteria. The breakfast is passible, has fresh squeezed orange juice, omelettes or fried eggs made to order and lots of carbs in the form of breads, pastries, etc. The front desk is busy and sometimes patience is required to get service. Staff is generally helpful and offered dinner suggestions for us called taxi's and provided service. It is handy if you are coming to visit Gibraltar which is just a short walk away to the border crossing.

We have been there for a stay to go to Gibraltar and the experience was terrible. We arrived at night at the Hotel and the first impression was good, because it was a spacious hotel, good location and an appearance of relatively new hotel. However, when we went to the restaurant for dinner, there were only “left overs” . As a restaurant in a Hotel, even if it is near to the closing (1 hour),the food must be renewed and fresh! We didn’t get so much to eat because there was not so much to eat. Noisy restaurant. Bad , really bad experience. The room was spacious but the floor was dirty (room and bathroom). Leakage in the shower and there were lack of towels. I asked the reception to bring towels, as they were missing, but they told me I should go downstairs! It was not my fault, it was Hotel lack of organization. If you plan to go to Gibraltar and plan to sleep in Linea de la Concepción, don’t go to this hotel. If there is not better in the city, make arrangements in other city.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Ideally placed hotel for a walk across to Gibraltar...10 minutes then a runway to walk across. Hotel staff luckily speak good English. Breakfast lovely for 6€. When we stayed there Gibraltar had a cloud over it so we were sat in the sun by the pool. Small pool but still nice for a dip. Bar prices cheaper than England. Can't say a bad word about this hotel and would recommend it to friends as it is far less expensive than staying in Gib. Next time I go back I would look to book here again.

If planning a visit to Gibraltar I would recommend this hotel, only a short walk to the border with little England. If you can avoid it don't spend too much time over the border as it is more civilised on the mainland of Spain.
