After a few initial challenges (the hotel has an extra charge for the room safe!) we had a very enjoyable stay. The food is excellent and the staff friendly although one felt we were sometimes in Germany due to the number of times we were spoken to in that language; they have a strong connection with a German travel company. Location wise it is in a convenient position to travel (if you have a car) to nearby Cadiz and Jerez if you don't want to spend all your time by the pool.

What can you say about a hotel that has everything. We travel a lot but this hotel has joined the top of our list. It was booked as part of a package and a good choice it was. The hotel is beautiful and cleaner than clean. The rooms are big and well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is amazingly friendly and will bend over backwards to accomodate any request you may have. Wifi is free. Our package included breakfast and dinner buffet. Normally buffets can get boring after a while but not here. The variety is unmatched with 4 different types of meat and 4 different types of seafood every night, cooked to order while you wait. Everything is fresh and well presented. One night they even had lobster. The pool area is really nice and offers comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. The huge beach, with beautiful clean water, is only about a 150 meter walk through the dunes. The hotel is in a small town where little is happening but the hotel has its own entertainment with a different group or singer every night. As there is not much to do or see in the immediate area we took a few tours. One to Cadiz (half day) and one to Jerez (full day). Both were very nice tours and well worth the money and time. The third tour we took was to Gibraltar, a full day tour. Two hours by bus there and two hours back. Take my advice and save your money and time, Gibraltar is not worth 10 minutes of your time, let alone the 4 hour bus ride. Our 2-1/2 hour flight landed at Sevilla and we then still had to travel 2 hours by bus to the hotel. If you book your own transportation, fly to Jerez instead, which is only a 45 minute bus ride to the Barrosa Palace. This is definitively a great hotel to stay at and highly recommended. The only thing that struck me as odd was that there was a fee for use of the room safe. The first time we have stayed at a 5-star hotel and had to pay for a safe. It is not for the money, as it was only 18 euros a week, but it felt like being nickle and dimed. I would suggest to management that they raise the room rate by 2.50 euros (nobody will notice) and offer the safe for free. It just does not feel right in such a great hotel to have to pay for something that has become such a basic service.

If you travel with your family and kids you can enjoy the sandy beaches nearby the hotel and the spa, taking into account that kids under 14 are not allowed in the spa you can find a lot of elderly people...you know. Great hotel to relax, nice beds.

We arrived in a storm and spent the better part of two days sitting on our covered balcony watching the waves crash into the beach. Managed to fit in a decent walk along the lovely stretch of beach in front of the hotel, and a couple of soaks in the spa. As you expect in a first-class hotel, the beds and linens were superb, the bathroom luxurious and the service friendly and professional. The only drawback is the restaurant situation. Our only options for dinner were an a la carte restaurant with a very small menu or the buffet. The buffet restaurant was reminiscent of a cafeteria with bright lights, clanking noises and not at all conducive to a romantic dinner for two. It would be great if they broadened the choices in the a la carte restaurant.

Wonderful place for romantic vacation. Ocean is very close where you could watch best sunsets ever. The hotel is super clean, very well kept. Rooms have a good view into the inner yard and the Ocean. Great pool,

One of the best hotels I have stayed in! The service is just outstanding from all departments and nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff. The food is 5 star standard for all sittings. Excellent choice and varied selections nightly. Sow cooking is also wonderful. Rooms are large and comfortable and so clean. The pool area is relaxing and never a problem for sun loungers. Spa is also wonderful. A great place to spend a relaxing time for a family vacation.

This hotel is located next to a fabulous beach! White sand, beautiful clean sea. You pay to use the beds and umbrellas. Nice bar belonging to the hotel. I was the only Brit in the ENTIRE hotel- you might like that or not. Mostly Germans, Dutch and some Spanish. Long trousers at dinner and the price etc make for a very sedate ambience- dont take your teenage kids here, they will be bored! Beds are extremely hard. I hate buffets but this one was exceptional. Huge variety and very fresh. The staff are exceedingly helpful and efficient- this is a well run place. You have to pay the indoor garage and safe! I would recommend this place to older people that want a quiet, sedate and not cheap break😌

I came to this hotel when I was pregnant for a nice relaxing break before the mayhem began. Excellent service and nice room. Could of been a little closer to the pool, but I never asked to be moved. Lovely food would definatley go back.

We arrived yesterday, room is great, swimming pool perfect, direct access to the beach. Staff is great. I love the food from the main restaurant. However, something makes me really angry is that people are allowed to smoke at the restaurant's terrace. Tables are really close from each other. I am allergic to the cigarettes and seriously this is not comfortable for the dinner. I am now sick. On my point of view this should be forbidden. Let'see how our stay will finish.

We chose this hotel for a birthday celebration and could not have been more delighted with our choice. The hotel has some obvious benefits, lovely modern building, spacious and comfortable public areas and big well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. It also has the advantage of being first line on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. What really makes this hotel special however is the staff. From the second we checked in to the second we checked out we encountered only genuinely kind, friendly and helpful people. Whoever recruits and trains the people here deserves a medal, nothing was too much trouble and they do everything to make sure all the guests are happy and well looked after. In addition wonderful food, buffet breakfast amazing and dinner in the beach side bar/ restaurant accompanied by gorgeous sunset was delicious. Prices for snacks and drinks were surprisingly reasonable for a 5 star hotel. A perfect weekend break and one we hope to repeat soon.
